  1. So a couple things, Radek Sikorski is broadly known as a loose cannon and he in fact had to resign from government in Poland for a leaked conversation in which he shit-talked the U.S. of all things. He’s also Anne Applebaum’s husband. Bottom line, MEP Sikorski is not getting special info from the U.S. to tweet. Second, the U.S. has every reason not to do this. We got Germany to do what we want and turn off NS2. Our big concern right now is oil and not gas, which provides more revenue to Russia. And finally— we are SHIT at skullduggery of this nature and WOULD get caught attacking NATO Allied infrastructure and crack what we have been wanting to build at the very moment we are getting the most value. This incident does nothing to actually hinder supplies of Russian gas to Europe. It took place outside of any state’s territorial waters thereby carefully avoiding invocation of Article 5. One country, and one country alone is trying to terrify Europeans into believing they are going to freeze and generally instilling chaos. This does a lot to help advance that narrative. And one country, and one country alone has lost any and all friends it has in Europe and spends its days talking shit and making nuclear threats. Literally nothing to lose. Unlike Ukraine which has everything to lose by attacking Europe, or the U.S., which has somewhat less but still a lot. “Your friends are the ones fucking with you, not me, who openly hates you and has threatened to burn all of you alive.” Fuck, get a clue GRUHorn.

  2. I was chatting with a friend over beers, sharing some humor from this site, and he asks me how long I've een wasting my life with longhorn message boards. I was like damn, let me think about that. After losing to ousucks for the third year in a row I started Googling variations of "mack brown sucks" and came across Hornfans. I registered as Okiehater, and had absolutely no idea what I was getting into. It was my first time posting on a message board and I sucked at it. Basically streams of conciousness put to text. Imagine Derka with less self awareness. Everyone hated me and I was banned after less than 100 posts. I went through three more usernames, but my stupidity was immediately recognized and was banned with extreme prejudice. Thats when I discovered the other boards like Cactus Cafe, Quakenbush's, etc, and that's where I lurked and learned how to suck less. I returned as MissingInAction and started sharing stories of debauchery and mayhem. When Austin 3:16 was created I really hit my stride. My most famous threads are probably The BBQ Bandito caught on tape, and The Mother Daughter three way. Am I better person now than 20 years ago? Who knows, but I'm definitely different. I've met a lot of cool and interesting people along the way. Here's to 20 more.

  3. We have posters on this website blaming the US right now. One, has been banned at least 3 times for spreading misinformation, Anti-vax info, and Russian propaganda. But he keeps coming back, and the mods condone it.

  4. Oh look, the news aggregator you follow also reports the voting totals in LNR, DNR, Zaporizhia and Kherson as if it’s news and an actual vote that’s happening. Wonder where you found this marginal Twitter account? Why are you spamming this board with this shit, it’s embarrassing.

  5. Yes. I think every country and person who isn't you or a Russian mouthpiece is interested in de-escalation. If Russia announced they'd leave Ukraine and accept pre-2014 borders immediately, and return all the kids and families they stole from Ukraine, everyone would immediately say "Yup, great, where do we sign." So yes, everyone is interested in de-escalation, except you.

  10. Texas with Worthy on the field probably beats Tech. Texas with just Card and someone on defense making a fucking routine play on 4th down beats Tech. Texas with just Card and people not doing retarded shit on 3rd and long beats Tech. Card was not the issue in that game, but the margin for error is smaller with him at QB. We had a shit ton of error in that fucking game.

  11. Wtf are you talking about? You’re a gotdamn Kremlinologist now and can spill the beans on the different factions and what they want to do? What are the names of the “hardliners?” What ministries or intelligence directorates or security apparatus do these hardliners control? Is it one that has the capacity to conduct offshore underwater demolition? What Russian security or military organization would have that capacity? You have no frame of reference, Donny. The only “hardliners” saying this shit are pure, uncut Russian disinformation channels aimed at convincing UA and Westerners that Uncle Vova has some real scary shit in reserve and so we better start playing nice or else the gloves come off.

  13. No, that's exactly what was being discussed. Which you literally said the United States had zero interest in accepting, which is complete bullshit. If you want to argue otherwise, then show your fucking work. Don't just drop shit like "The US has zero interest in this conflict ending" while sitting back with your hands in the air claiming YOU want it, but America and it's politicians do not. THAT is what you were talking about before you attempted to once again poorly move the goalposts. i'M nOT A rUsSiaN tRolL i SweAR!

  14. Quick Checklist: Was it stupid? Yes. It's Russia. Was it terrorism? Yes. It's Russia. Are German stockpiles of NG full enough to survive the winter without any Russian gas? Yes. It's Russia. Is GRUHorn on here trying to spread doubt and uncertainty about whether Russia did it? Yes. It's Russia. It's Russia. The only entities that would even consider something like this are all Russian. They are the only parties to this conflict that repeatedly inflict acts of terrorism. It's absurd to think it was anyone else.

  15. That guy is pretty fascinating. I was really struck by something he said just before leaving and that was "we are salting our own earth. No western businesses will come back here for a generation." Add on top of that killing off all their breeding age males and Russia is going to wind up being like the Empire of Trebezond etc. A bunch of warlord rump states fighting for the title of a once great but now fallen nation. It really didn't have to be that way, and it can all be chalked up to the hubris of one man. Astounding.

  16. Right on. This is our breaking point. Our achilles tendon, if you will. That is? Patience. I can see why some are so gun shy. Frustration over Saturday’s performance is warranted. But those frustrations come from a young team, first road game, and you’re the opponents super bowl. Everybody we play this year had us circled on their schedule. Including Alabama. Who do we have circled? Bama and the cock gobblers. One true recruiting class, which was stellar. But that doesn’t make a team. Right now, Ewers can overcome some of the team limitations with his own capabilities. Card cannot. - Frustration: warranted - Retardation: not warranted at this time

  17. So someone thinks Ukraine traveled across much of Europe and then did a deep sea exercise with no equipment or expertise thousands of miles away? To damage something that is of no strategic value to them, but is of value to their Allies. And with this Russia, who controls the flow of gas into the pipe, will create an environmental disaster/distraction. Yep, has to be the completely improbable Ukraine option.

  19. It's blatantly obvious that Russia did this. It's terrorism. Russia is the only party in this conflict that has repeatedly committed terrorist attacks. Terrorism and lies is what they do. At least 4 times that I can recall and there were others as well. GRhorn/Satoshi/Immaculate Vibes/Caponata. Now Humble Beast and he'll be back with a new one as soon as we ban this one, because the mods apparently don't give a shit. Should make you wonder why someone would spend YEARS poisoning our message board, spreading pro-Putin/anti US disinformation and lies, despite these lies, and the liar, being repeatedly rejected by the community. Our resident Putin trollbot is quite active on the topic already. Just asking questions.

  25. Wow, I guess Konstantin did get called up (he had to be on their radar and I’m surprised they didn’t round him up before now) and he managed to get out of Russia with some active help from his followers. This is live-streaming at 3pm this afternoon, and the description is: How and Why I left Russia and how my subscribers saved my life. HOW YOU SAVED MY LIFE I am NOT exaggerating. You saved my life. I will explain how in today's stream. 4 PM EST, today and every day, as usual. From Tashkent now. My friends, thank you for the prayers. I am at my destination, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, safe and warm. Extremely tired after crossing two borders on foot in one day and very shaken after this whole experience (I was close to not being let go at the border control) but not broken. NOT BROKEN. Please tune in to the daily stream today at the usual time and I will tell you how you saved my life.

  28. @The Dog that is a fascinating thread. While it makes sense that we found some production issues/inadequacies that we are addressing (or boosting capacity) these really jumped out at me, because it looks like the US Army (and possibly Marine Corps) are making some changes in their own units and tactics, based on Ukrainian battlefield performance. Notably, artillery - while it could be we are going to send a lot more HIMARS to Ukraine, it’s more likely that we will also be converting some of our M777 units to HIMARS. Which makes a lot of sense - the Ukrainians have tested them on a modern battlefield against what used to be a near-peer and the kinds of hardware we would be facing in the future, far more thoroughly than anything we could replicate in training or in Afghanistan/Iraq. I follow artillery stuff more than infantry on FB and Reddit, and there’s been talk about reducing the amount of barrel artillery in favor of MLRS/HIMARS, because with the range and accuracy, and the kinds of targets that Ukraine has successfully hit, as well as the mobility factor, it makes sense to start considering what we use, now that we have actual battlefield experience in hand to justify the changes/ costs. Also, moving to boost the acquisition/use of the more accurate munitions (Excaliberm etc,) used in the M777s makes sense. These things could also lower our logistics requirements in the long run (improved accuracy/range = fewer munitions expended to hit a target ) And something else - those numbers and that hardware that he mentioned below, some of that is going to be buying us the newest generations of hardware, as we are sending the previous stuff to Ukraine, Those 100 HIMARS could be replacing previous-gen HIMARS. The bit about Marines buying Stingers for the first time in 17 years - either they had a large stock they hadn’t worked through, or possibly it’s an acknowledgement that they need to boost their anti- drone/UAV capabilities. There’s the saying about we always prepare/train to fight our last war, but looking like we are looking to the future.

  29. Beyond this, the lack of supplies for the new arrivals will utterly shatter what morale is left. Russians will be stealing essential supplies and equipment, such as cold weather gear and first aid kits, from each other. There will be fights between Russian troops, and unit cohesion will be strained, to say the least. You have to trust the man beside you, and theft destroys that.
