Whittington is coming back. You guys can thank the NIL machine and some of the really big backers behind it. Remember this kind of stuff the next time dipshits like Herbstreit or Liucci want to bag on our BMD support.57 points

Here is something fun to lift your holiday spirits.... I have heard a new name that came from the aggy side, someone I trust implicitly as a friend who has ties to the extreme top in Bright. This OC candidate is one of the most innovative minds in college history, someone that showed the ability to change the position he coaches on the fly this past offseason. Someone with SEC chops that stack up with the best of them, and you should see his All Time Commits list...thats right (AND I AM 1000000000% SERIOUS, NOT FUCKING WITH YOU ALL AT ALL) My buddy sent me this last night, completely unprovoked when he found out that Petrino was taking UNLV instead (LOL). Jimbo has been pushing Craig to get the job at every single turn. He actively fucked up possible hires with Longo, Grimes, and others then got used by Riley as a raise play. The longer this plays out, the longer this lasts, Jimbo may promote Craig. Enjoy!37 points

Iβm expecting something dumb, inconsequential, and grifty. Maybe a new Trumpcoin or a chance to join Club 45 for $9.99 a month. Iβm not sure why everyone is taking his word that thereβs a βbigβ announcement. He lies about almost everything. When he tells the truth, itβs only by accident.23 points

I have no idea what happened that night, but I really enjoyed the first 300 times I read Loop 1604's opinion on the matter.21 points

Waiting for all the facts to come out and for the legal process to start playing out is the only way Texas protects itself in all situations. If they fire him today with cause like 80% of the twitter warriors seem to want to do, and then the women comes out next week and says nevermind I was lying, Texas is absolutely screwed and is staring a $25-30 million buyout in the face and you can bet your ass Beard and his team arenβt accepting one penny less and things will get ugly. Also, if the women decides she wants the case dropped because she doesnβt want a messy trial that doesnβt mean Beard is innocent of all charges. Texas can still get rid of him and save themselves any buyout money if evidence comes to light that allows them to do so, even if the case never sees a courtroom. Making reactionary, emotional decisions is how you screw yourself as a university financially. This thing likely isnβt getting resolved this week or even this month, hell, thereβs probably a better chance than not it drags on for several months. But Texas has to look out for Texas. Itβs not just a Chris Beard thing. People canβt seem to hold these multiple thoughts in their mind at the same time.20 points

I wonder if this young man considered how much this choice is going to tank his ranking in the eagerly anticipated Liuccci 44?19 points

Except Hughes was an actual badass whose late-term nuttiness was likely caused by incredible pain from a near-fatal experimental aircraft crash and neurological syphilis from bedding every starlet in Hollywood. He also got a bunch of hardass Mormons together and had them crack the actual mob in Las Vegas while he was pissing in bottles. Elron is shitposting red-pill junk.19 points

ForumsBilly Liucci's TexAgs Premium Quick OC note (Petrino-related) 2,113 Views | 35 Replies Staff Only ... Liucci Staff So here's where things stand as of today: As you all saw this morning, Bobby Petrino has accepted a spot on Barry Odom's UNLV staff in the OC role. He was ready to make the jump back out of FCS ball and waited to see what A&M and a couple of other SEC programs would do as long as he could. However, I'm here to tell you that if the Ags or another name program in the conference decided Petrino was the guy, Odom and the Rebels would have a very hard time keeping him in Vegas. That's just the way of the world when it comes to the college football hierarchy. So what I'm saying is I wouldn't completely rule this one out, though it's far less likely than it was. Even then, of course, Petrino was A candidate and not THE candidate, which I said several times last week though those railing against the 'hire' were more interesting in going apoplectic on the boards and social media. I said last week that the Ags were actively engaged with two other candidates, as well. Those two are still very much in play and are guys I believe Jimbo Fisher could have as soon as he decides to go. However, I think we all understand there's a reason why neither those guys nor Petrino have gotten the call just yet. Why do I say that? Because the Ags aren't sitting around waiting until after the bowl games are played and it's my understanding that the aim is to have this thing wrapped up either before or shortly after next week's Early Signing Day. If one of the guys were leaping off of the page above the others, I think we'd be talking about the next Aggie play-caller by now. Now, there are a few of you who won't let it go and feel the need to hold whatever I say against me despite the fact that what I'm saying is accurate and you're just railing to rail about something so let me be as clear as I can: Having someone hired by Signing Day (a week or so from now) is the 'aim.' It's a moving target and if Fisher decides to wait things out in search of a better fit or more qualified or celebrated candidate, then that's what he'll do. We've seen Jimbo do it before and, once we pass NSD, the pressure to get something done in an instant is essentially behind us. With that said, word I received today is that the goal is to wrap this thing up before the holidays and not after and the three names I was told are still out there. Despite today's Petrino news, the Ags are sitting on the same three candidates they were several days ago but my personal opinion is that the head coach is still looking for the perfect fit. A couple of other things to help provide some clarity: -Don't waste your time tracking flights. Some of you are just stirring up false hope or random candidates because - in 2022 - Fisher and the Ags aren't flying guys to College Station to risk outing candidates when you can simply get things done via zoom. Believe me or not, I'm simply here trying to save you guys some time and mental energy. -There are candidates who were under consideration that Fisher could have had and locked but the Ags chose not to go that particular route. We'll see if the Aggies end up in a better situation or not but that list has included the likes of Phil Longo (Wisconsin), Petrino (UNLV) and recent South Carolina hire Dowell Loggins. At least one other sitting SEC OC has made it clear he'd love the job but Fisher and the Ags decided against adding him to the interview list. In a perfect world, I believe we'd be talking about either Garrett Riley or Dan Mullen as the Aggie OC today and I've been pretty clear why neither of those things happened. Beyond that, much of the hand-wringing you're seeing here hasn't been shared across the street at Bright. Doesn't change the fact that Fisher has to get this one right, however. And so we wait a little longer and reserve judgement18 points

As I've said before, if Beard is guilty as charged, then his ass needs to be gone. But I'm fine with the process the administration is using. Suspend him until we have all the facts and a clear understanding of what happened. Then if the facts do indeed bear out that Beard had culpability in the situation, then yes, fire him under the conduct clause of the contract. You don't want to fire him prematurely, though, and then have it come out later that his firing happened to be unjust. If that were to happen, we would never be able to land another coach worth a shit here. So yes, caution and due process is an absolute must, even if it means that things are proceeding slower than we would like.18 points

It's going to get better for you, still. They've lost 26 early to the portal or draft. There are others that people are counting as staying, like Russell or A Smith, simply because they haven't declared anything. They're unlikely to declare anything, unless they declare they're coming back. They've aged out of the program and folks are crossing their fingers about them claiming a corona year. With an org like that imploding, and the known discord with WR and LB rooms, the notion that graduating seniors are suddenly coming back is silly. There's like 8 of those guys. That gets you to 34 without effort. Then you have guys that haven't entered the portal that are going to enter the portal. That's Lucas at a minimum. Who here thinks there won't be 5-10 more guys between now and the end of the 2nd portal period in the spring heading into the portal? Then you have simple roster attrition. Medicals and quitters. Who here expects Bryce Foster back? If these idiots wind up with 15 recruits, while losing 45+ guys all in, they'll need to land 30-35 players in the portal. Now we know where all of the G5 jaggers are going to land, at least. I can't believe what I just typed. I have never seen anything like it. I've enjoyed watching their fans go through the process of convincing themselves that this is happening to every team in the new era and it is just the way things go. Ritz Bitz is tearing this program down to the studs in real time.18 points

Watching as Trump and Trumpism descends into farce is hilarious and fantastic. But at the same time, I find myself looking back at his time as president now through this lens. And that has the effect of somehow minimizing the damage he did and the danger he presented. And I don't love that.16 points
