As a kid I never liked the Superman movies. I was talking to my mom this evening about this and she never realized I didn't enjoy them because I never said anything. I really, really enjoyed this one though. Krypto was awesome. Having a Superdog made the movie for me. I had zero expectations going in, but I left the movie smiling. It seems like the goal of the movie was to show someone doing good deeds for no other reason than because they want to and that is who they are. I loved that aspect and can't wait for the next Superman movie.

I know what you're saying. I'm not going to pretend that I know anything about tournament poker, but if you get it all in (while covered) pre flop with AA three times before the bubble, you only have a 50% chance of still being in the tournament.

Saw it last night. Really great. The casting of the new Superman was an excellent choice. My movie experience was horrible. I went to a Regal cinema for the first time since whenever, and it sucked for two reasons. First, instead of the 10-minutes or so of previews you get at Alamo, we had a 6:00 show time, and sat through over 30 minutes of previews AND commercials before the movie started. Second, we saw it in 4DX. I thought it might be cool, but it was waaaaaaay overdone. Our seats were tilting and shaking throughout 80% of the movie, usually in a way that wasn’t even synced to the action in the movie. Seats just shaking for fuck’s sake. Even my kids, who love a good amusement park ride, didn’t enjoy that. Fuck Regal.

another Longhon that will make us say, "how did our coach win zero tourney games with this hooper?"

What this reminds me of is when you run across fans of some obscure band that wound up going mainstream. They got millions of new fans because more people were exposed to this cool music, but the original fans look at these new fans of the band, as well as the band itself, of being sellouts. I am going to watch because of Clark and if I can catch Bueckers when she has nationally televised games. Luckily I work with a woman who was a baller back in Palau and she represented her country on the court. We talk about a lot of players and she opens me up to the ones she really likes which is pretty cool. Clark is still why I watch, but knowing more from someone that played ball and loves the WNBA is cool.

Happy to see him break down that Mississippi State game. I don't know why - whether it was the terrible game flow and close score for 3 quarters, playing a shitty SEC team, or something else - but it felt at the time like our fanbase really didn't appreciate how good Arch was in this game. Mississippi State bled a lot of clock with 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense. But Arch was phenomenal, with lots of wow plays that we haven't seen at QB for a long time. The Johntay drop on 3rd and long (easy TD) was basically a turnover and still pisses me off. Arch played an A/A+ game, if it was a B+ or less the game could have been a nail biter at the end. I don't give a shit if it was against bad competition, the film doesn't lie.

I had tears flowing reading that, thinking of my kids and what that family has and will go through. My God, have mercy on their souls.

https://www.nytimes.com/1981/10/18/sports/arkansas-led-by-quarterback-upsets-texas-42-11.html I'll never forget my Dad and I listening to the radio call of that debacle unfolding in the car. We were in disbelief, and then the car overheated in Bailey's Prairie, Texas, of all places to break down, on October 17, 1981. 42-11 -- Still too soon! I still think that cocksucker coach of piggy back then, Lou Holtz, had Texas' headsets bugged. Fuck Lou Holtz! -
Gary Cherone fan... We get it. Let me add another to the list

Shouldn’t be playing after this many beers but just won at Indiana against a guy ranked ~20K to my ~40K. Played so badly. Led 3-0 at half. Trailed 7-3 entering 4Q. Pulled ahead 10-7 with 90 seconds left. Defense finally gets a 4th down stop! Go up 17-7 with 27 seconds to go. He concedes. Ok but why can’t I see the stats?! 5-0 online road to CFP lol

I had Hunter brown and Skenes winning the cy youngs. That’s not bad. Who could have seen Skenes coming? I mean- Hunter Brown was the obvious pick but the other was way off the board.

Just a reminder- we still hate our team. More or less. Most of the time. but we didn’t threaten death on LMJ. That was Philippine degenerate gambler. Probably.

I’m trending 4-0 right now, I think. I had under on yanks at 91.5. That’s pretty damn close one way or another. ha. Just did the maths… yanks on pace for 91.37 wins. Thats a winner. Science.

We exchange here and take pesos down, as the rates are better. Each day we take some with us and leave the rest in the hotel safe. Can always go back and grab some more. Haven't had an issue in years down there. Including letting it sit on the beach chair and not worrying about it. We feel safer there than walking down Congress Avenue on a sunny afternoon.

Caught some more of the press conference. And I'm now totally onboard with Trump and MAGA. The way he worked the price of eggs into the press conference and how cheap they were at Easter was nothing short of did he seriously fucking do that masterful. Only an asshole tremendous president could so shittily eloquently remind us of all the important things like the price of kid's lives eggs. Obama, W, Biden, all of them before 8647 should be thanking their lucky stars they didn't have to deal with this as there is no way in hell they could have said anything near as distasteful comforting as the words of our dear leader. Oh yeah, and don't forget we are winning...Lord knows what...but apparently we are.

We got back yesterday and thankfully moved from PDC to Isla in advance. The former beaches continue to be a mess. There is nothing that is "looking better" with sargassum in IM. It was beautiful and continues to be on pretty much all sides of the island with very scattered seaweed, at worst. You'll be fine. When we got way out in the water to swim with the whale sharks we saw big brown blobs heading toward Cancun / PDC. But that was it - their problem, - Most everyone (san very tiny places) takes credit cards and for those that "don't" just ask them, as they likely will. They want your business. Preference is to avoid CC fees but at the end of the day they'll take customers. - Don't worry about carrying around some MXN cash in your pocket, stowing it in your towel, or whatever. The biggest lawbreakers in Isla are the locals on scooters who occasionally ignore Stop signs. No one is going to steal anything from you unless you openly ask for it. I trust Mexicans infinitely more than people here - they're hard working, happy and trustworthy. - To exchange USD for MXN, we've always used the little bank right after you get off the ferry in Isla, to the right. Exchange rates vary around the island but nothing material. - Go swim with the whale sharks - pretty incredible. They're up to the size of a school bus, 20 - 40 tons and a mouth as wide as your 9-year old is tall. Majestic, mammoth, filter feeders who couldn't care less about you as they glide around while you get up close. Get a private boat vs. the cattle call tours. It's an extra $250 or so for your (small, up to 4) group, a captain and a dive lead. Well worth the spend when you get out to the sharks and there's 20 other loaded boats to deal with. We did ours with Carey Dive and it was great. That first go into the water when you're almost face to face with the biggest fish in the world and one of the largest animals on the planet is a bit daunting but very cool. Have always wanted to do this and it was a one-of-a-kind experience. - Past experience and we continue to get our golf carts at Ciro's. Buried downtown in a tiny shop but the cheapest and pretty easy to deal with. Their carts are also the fastest. Can be good, or bad, depending upon how you handle the onslaught of speed bumps. Taxis are plentiful and probably cheaper if you do the math for being out and about but the carts are great for instant availability, exploring when / where you want, etc. - Good rec above on the (somewhat) new Secreto roof top. Meh food but the beer was fine which is hard to mess up. End game is the sunset view which you can't beat. - There's plenty of good food on the island but Yayo continues to be one of our favorites. Hole in the wall with mostly locals and a staff that speaks very little English, the best of signs. Food starts with a tray of 6 different salsas and chips and the food goes well from there. Breakfast or lunch. Your bill comes and you think it should be twice as much as what you're seeing. It's really good. - Beach club... Tuturreque by Playa Arena. Right in the middle of the north beach. They ask for 500MXN spend / person for a chair, umbrella and food. Most others are asking for a food spend and another for a chair / umbrella / bed. Not this place. They'll situate you in a nice spot with good service and the kicker is that they (in both our trips there) charged us just for our food and drink total, which was less than the minimum spend they were initially asking. Pleasant surprise(s), just add'l reason to tip the good servers even more. Not sure if this is across the board but we saw this same spend deal on two visits. - Capilla de Guadalupe...whether you're Catholic or not it's a beautiful site....tiny church with an altar that almost sits on top of the Caribbean. The cathedrals in Europe have their own, justifiable places as landmarks in the world. But you could get married pretty much anywhere and it would be hard to top this place. (Mango Cafe right across the street has a rooftop and really cheap beer / decent food.) - Panteon - Take your cart along the east side of the island to see nice, secluded beaches (stray dogs will share umbrellas with you) and you'll run into this cemetery...very, very colorful, interesting displays of tombs. - Chadraui (Isla HEB) - go early or late if possible, otherwise it's a mess with really long lines. We've never explored the other stores but perhaps we should at some point. - Punta Sur never disappoints. Just so well kept and maintained and views that you'll see nowhere else. The easternmost point of Mexico. Just when you think you've seen all shades of blue the Caribbean can offer you see another while walking around it and dodging the iguanas. The water never gets old - just simply gazing at it is an experience of its own. if you're up for it (literally 6AM) go sit in the benches there and watch the sun rise Well worth it. - If you stay to the right along the coastline upon leaving Punta Sur, about a mile up on the right is a gravel road, take a right on it and get off the beaten path in you cart for awhile to explore the homes that sit on the water. Nice little 15-minute side trip that not many undertake. - And to tuck in your back pocket...Dr. Loren Robertos is great if you ever need him and it does happen....will come to your hotel room, prescribe medicine, etc. Speaks solid English. +52-999-263-4161. $100USD for a house call. He was in our room within 30 minutes of calling, on Sunday. Hard to beat. Enjoy.

We’re money as long as we get home field advantage in the playoffs so he’s pitching game 4s on the road.

I’m going to start having my out of office say that I may not come back from wherever I’m at. People don’t seem to pay it any mind anyway.

When my business partners and I started our company 7 years ago, this was the goal. Then after a few years we realized the kids don't want to run our business. So we're going to get it as big as we can in the next few years and sell it. And then we can finance what our kids want to do.

He's not winning another major. He can't hold up over 5 sets for two weeks. Honestly, I have very mixed feelings about him. He's been a tremendous individual competitor but his vaccines shit really made me question his mentality. Regardless he's in the top 2 or 3 of all time; even if Roger or Rafa is more beloved, his results are hard to argue with. Just a really gifted tennis player and all around athlete.
