jihad ward

“[Jihad] Ward will have ample opportunity to show coaches what he's got inside. And he'll work against the best guard in the league in Zack Martin. Martin has faith: "He's got that combination of leverage and strength and speed and quickness," Martin raved. "I truly believe he's going to be one of the top three-techs in the NFL."

he’s going to wreck opposing offenses.  fuck that little white midget, ward will be a war daddy.  I called it when we made the trade because I can evaluate talent like a professional and should never be doubted when it comes to personnel, ever.  thank you and good night.

Ummmm. Martin said that about Collins, not Ward. Jesus Christ.

Lmao. Futureman strikes again.

As much as I love to bag on shit-for-brains Futureman, the Dallas Morning News seems to be to blame for this one. They clearly seem to think Martin said that about Jihad Ward, but the link shows otherwise.

I still think Earl Thomas-to-the-Cowboys happens.

Quote

Seahawks safety Earl Thomas and the Cowboys have been linked every since he told Jason Garrett to come get him in December

Thomas has been holding out for a new contract extension, adding even more speculation that Dallas could make a play for the Pro Bowler. Former Seahawks DE Cliff Avril added even more fuel to that fire.

Avril, who is currently a free agent, told Sirius XM NFL Radio that everyone in the Seahawks' locker room knows that Thomas loves the Cowboys, and he even leaves work early to watch Dallas when the team plays on Monday Night Football.

I don't know man, if Jihad has been hanging out with the rest of our D-Line there's probably an 80+ % chance he's going to fail a drug test before training camp.

Saw this topic on another board. If you could change the outcome of one single Cowboys game, which one would it be?

First one that comes to mind is the 1994 NFC championship game. If we win that, we no doubt go on to fuck up San Diego and we would have won 4 in a row. Something that has not and will never happen.

But I was only 10 at the time. I have never witnessed Dallas even win a divisional round game as an adult, much less a Super Bowl. So I might want to witness that. So for that to happen, I'd have to decide between the 2007, 2014 and 2016 divisional round games. Maybe pick the one where I feel we had the best shot to actually win it all. Which is hard to really say. Coincidentally, we would have faced the Patriots in each Super Bowl from those years. 2014 would have set up arguably one of the most anticipated NFC championship games in recent memory of Dallas at Seattle. And we already dominated the trenches against them earlier in the year. But I think the 2016 team with Dak had the best chance to win it all in those 3 years. We had the blueprint but deviated away from it in the Green Bay playoff game. Dak played incredible that game but no one will really remember it because we lost.

Regarding the 1994 game, if you give the Cowboys the three-peat I don't think it's guaranteed they win the following year. Does Deion make the jump to the Cowboys if that game turns out differently? Besides that, how hungry are the Cowboys to win a fourth in a row?

And to answer your question, I think I'd go back and change the outcome of the 1966 or 1967 NFC Championship Games against Green Bay. I wasn't even born yet and in all honesty, grew up disliking the Cowboys but in retrospect, it would've been nice to see Don Meredith get the title he probably deserved and also cool to see the Cowboys in (and likely win) the first Super Bowl. If not those two games, I think I would've wanted to see Romo get past the Giants in 2007 (probably make the SB) or beat the Packers in 2014. The guy was the franchise for a decade or so yet continues to get shit on by more folks than he probably should.

Well the premise of the question is just to change the outcome of one game while every thing else stays constant. So the 1995 Super Bowl with Pittsburgh stays in place. Which is kind of why I picked that one. No way Dallas loses to San Diego in the Super Bowl so the Pittsburgh win would have given us 4 in a row.

I remember being so hyped for that 1994 NFC title game all week. And then in a blink of an eye, down 21-0. So deflating. Even at that age.

Yeah Dallas winning the first ever Super Bowl even though I was not born would have been cool. Dallas had a great chance to get to and win the first 2 Super Bowls.

Mark your off-season bingo sheet!

Here is White's full statement to the newspaper:

“On the day of October 20th, 2017 I was involved in a road rage incident in which my life was threatened and resulted in me having to draw my weapon. I was getting off of highway 121 onto the access road near Tennyson Parkway in Plano, TX where I was met by an aggressive driver. I was trying to get over to avoid running into the wall where the lanes merge, but he then increased speed forcing me to make the decision to either run into the wall or cut him off.

“I eventually made my way in front of him and he proceeded to ride very closely and aggressively on my tail. I hit the brakes to get him off of me and could then see him becoming very angry in my rear view mirror. He then sped up again and I hit my brakes again and after this time he pulled over to my driver side while still driving and proceeded to yell racial slurs such as the “N” word while also threatening to kill me. Simultaneously while doing this he began to reach towards his glove box and that is when I flashed my weapon. He then hit the brakes, got behind me, and proceeded to follow me to my house. Upon arriving at my house I exited my car and went into my home as he sat outside and contacted the authorities.

“When the police got there I came downstairs on my own and gave them my side of the story. He admitted to tailing me and pulling to my driver side, but denied any of the things he said. They retrieved my weapon from my home for evidence and NO arrest was made that day. On June 14th, 2018 during practice I received a notice from the team that there was a felony warrant issued for my arrest for the October 20th incident.

“The person making these accusations also has an extensive criminal background. He changed and added things to his story multiple times. There were about 5 officers on the scene, but two weeks later a female officer contacted me from her personal phone number asking for me to come in to answer a few more questions. I initially agreed to come in, but I postponed this meeting after being advised to not speak without a lawyer present. She assured me that no lawyer was needed, but I was still not comfortable speaking without one present.

“I was informed that multiple letters were sent to my old address in Tallahassee, FL and that attempts were made to contact me, however I changed my number during the season. Me and my legal team believe strongly that this a personal attack on my image as well as the Star.”

Probably The Catch game. Danny White deserved a Superbowl, and one finger kept Drew Pearson out of the end zone to still win the game, and probably cost him the Hall Of Fame.

2007 I was in Korea in disfucking belief as we shit the bed, but that would have likely given the pats an 18-0 season  so i guess there is that.  2016 hurts me as much as 1994.  simply because the dual rookie mode would have made for an epic historical story much like 1994.   but i agree 1994 still hurts like a mofo, fuckers even scored more than our 52 in the super bowl

Danny White was nowhere near going to the HOF.

Even Terrance Williams thinks there may be another side to this story.

Shady McCoy supposedly beat the shit out of his gf, dog and kid. Lets see if the dictator Goodell goes on a witch hunt and gives him 6 games...

He's issued an online rebuke saying he hasn't even seen this girl in several months. Pull up a chair. Let's see what we see. If true, McCoy is probably done-zo in this league.
