In that picture he has the ball at his waist and he's not ready to make the quick throw...

And habits like that will lead to you holding the ball too lomg.

Let's say he corrects that, then what?

Spencer Sanders at OKST held the ball too long the first year or two of his career and caused a lot of turnovers. He got way better his last two years. A good QB coach could help Shedeur with that I think.

Rolling with Gabriel and Sanders as the backups to a 40 year old QB is very Clevelandesque.

I was watching Florio and Simms and apparently Cleveland really likes Gabriel - said the competition between he and Sanders hasn’t been close.

Cleveland just sent Pickett to the Raiders so they won’t be rolling with 4 QBs.

ESPN stats seem to support Gabriel being #2

I remember him when he started as a Houston Gambler.

Yep, one of the leagues all time top receivers. Also Ronald Reagan's favorite target on the White House lawn.

Not bad for a kid from Belton.

It is one of the hardest things to fix, though, if it doesn't click quickly. Mental processing speed is absolutely the main reason that NFL QB draft picks flame out so frequently.

Some guys can see shit before it even happens (think TJ Ford on a basketball court) and some guys can't see it until a second after it's already happened. It's another ability but is the hardest to identify and test.

Colorado didn't exactly have the most modern cutting edge NFL-type offense. They didn't really need it. Wasn't what they do. That doesn't work in Shedeur's favor in his rookie NFL season. He will have some time to sit back and learn and try to figure it out. Don't be surprised to see him get forced into action at some point this season when things don't go well.

I like the scenario that Browns suck so bad they get the #1 pick. Then, Arch stays another year.

"Shedeur Sanders was never given equal opportunity to compete with Dillon Gabriel and the Browns showed us that throughout training camp and the preseason. If was a real competition, Dillon and Shedeur would have played with the same talent around them in the last game."
