Looks like Omeire is there already.

Was it IT or 247 not to long ago said he was an early aggy lean, then Texas after he saw how we were using WR's and recently back to being an aggy lean?  Doesn't make sense, why would he go back to being an aggy lean after we won the Sugar Bowl?  Craig must have come back around with the money bags.

I think they said we made up ground, don't remember him being ever being a Texas lean.

You pay attention to this stuff enough to understand that recruiting doesn't always follow the on-field wins and losses.

We also just picked up 3-4 highly rated WRs this year in addition to Eagles, Woodard, and Moore last year. Add in Epps at WR and a path to early playing time starts to look rough.

There’s a good shot of car trouble if they don’t leave early in the morning. The day drags on and family throws a Super Bowl party, College Station is going to start to feel pretty fucking far away.

Hell, I'm only 10 blocks away, and it's way too fucking far for me. The couch and pizza delivery works just fine. Why someone would rather watch the Super Bowl with aggy than with friends and family is a mystery.

Don't think he was ever a Texas lean. Also, he's probably looking at the depth charts, and there's really no comparison between ours and aggy's.  Shades of 2019 recruits in-state at Safety.

Brian Perroni: Texas A&M picks up first 2020 defensive commit in Major Burns

With Signing Day for the class of 2019 only a few days away, Texas A&M has turned a lot of its attention to the class of 2020. The Aggies hosted many of their top targets for the class this weekend for the second annual Super Bowl party. There were a number of four- and five-star prospect but from Texas and from outside the state's borders. One of those prospects that made the trip from another state was safety Major Burns of Baton Rouge (La.) Madison Prep.

The 6-foot-1.5, 181-pound junior actually made the drive down to Aggieland with a few other prospects on Friday evening after school. He spent all Saturday on campus before Sunday's Super Bowl event. Burns is now on the Aggies commit list. The standout junior was offered by Texas A&M a couple weeks back, on Jan. 16. He has also picked up offers from the likes of Arizona, Florida State and Notre Dame.

247Sports' Billy Embody has seen Burns play in person multiple times and had the following to say about him. "An aggressive defensive back that has nice length that has allowed him to play corner or safety, Burns will continue to add weight and that’ll make him a more natural fit at safety," Embody said. "He’s got solid speed and breaking ability. He’s a tough defensive back that can play multiple positions, but the natural fit is safety."

Burns is the first defensive commitment in the class of 2020 for Texas A&M, joining a quartet of in-state offensive linemen of Fort Bend Hightower four-star Smart Chibuzo, Fort Bend Kempner four-star Akinola Ogunbiyi, The Woodlands College Park's Josh Bankhead and Navasota's Jordan Jefferson as well as five-star Tomball wide receiver Demond Demas. Burns' high school teammate, four-star class of 2020 athlete Joel Williams, was also with him in College Station over the weekend. Williams had previously camped in Aggieland and wanted to return for the Super Bowl event. A&M likes him at cornerback and landing Burns will almost certainly help their chances with Williams as well.

Burns, who plans to be in College Station until driving back to Baton Rouge on Monday morning, might not be the only new pledge the Aggies pick up this weekend. A year ago, they added two commits at the Super Bowl event but also took the momentum in a number of other recruitments. Jimbo Fisher and Co. have offered a number of players in the state of Louisiana for the class of 2020, especially on defense, and Burns could help A&M's momentum with other prospects in the state. Burn's primary area recruiter for the Aggies is linebacker coach Bradley Dale Peveto.
