Texas A&M is up to the No. 2 recruiting class in the country after the addition of the state's top-ranked prospect, five-star offensive tackle Kenyon Green, over the weekend. The Aggies could be in line to land several more commitments soon as well.

Fort Bend Bush cornerback Erick Young has officially set a commitment date of July 4.

The nation's No. 102 overall prospect has long been very high on A&M and has used his lone official visit so far to Aggieland. Currently, he has ones scheduled to Ohio State and USC for later this month, but a lot of people expect him to announce for A&M.

Houston Madison's Bobby Wolfe and Spring Dekaney's Marcus Banks are both set to announce around that same time as well. A&M is the Crystal Ball leader for all three and there's a good chance the Aggies could add a trio of very, very good cornerbacks all within a few days of each other

Yeah, that's not an example of poor spelling because of idiocy. That's just a sign of their regular idiocy, and of their wildly systemic racism. I mean, fuck, pretty much every mouth-breather in that picture just LOOKS like a nazi.

Young is already over 200 lbs.  Unless he has elite cover skills, he's a Safery or NB.  Wolfe and Banks are nowhere near the Corners we got last class and Watson is better IMO.  So basically aggy still has done nothing to solve it's terrible Cornerback issue.

Not so sure about Mr. Rosenberg. What's amusing, on a personal level, is that I used to know (it's been thirty years or so) the grandson or great-grandson (same exact unusual name) of one of those guys. Castroville Holla!

Aggie Picnic: Lots of big names set for A&M this weekend

Texas A&M is holding a big recruiting event this coming weekend with a picnic on Saturday. The Aggies are expecting quite a few top prospects in town. We will add to this list throughout the week as we confirm more names but these are the ones we have confirmed so far. In addition, almost all of the current commits are expected as well.

OFFICIAL VISITORS

-A&M will be hosting a pair of offensive linemen from Pensacola, Fla., this weekend on official visits in Adrian Medley and Hunter Rayburn. This is the first official visit for both and they have said they'd like to play together at the next level. They are both early enrollees and have seen a ton of offers come in as of late, especially Rayburn. Despite them being from out of state, A&M is in very good shape with both and some in Florida believe there's a good chance they eventually end up as Aggies.

CLASS OF 2019

-Katy Cinco Ranch LB David Gbenda:The state's top inside linebacker prospect is a lot higher on A&M than most think and he will be in town on Saturday. He still plans to use his official visits in the fall before making a decision but the Aggies are in good shape.

-Houston Madison CB Bobby Wolfe:The one-time Aggie pledge still plans to announce a commitment sometime in the next month or so. He canceled an official visit to Florida last weekend and it looks good for the Aggies to get him back in the boat when he does announce again.

-Fort Bend Bush CB Erick Young: Young says he 'likely' will be there. He has an announcement date of July 4 and, despite planning to take officials to USC and Ohio State later this month, there are a lot of expectations that he will be an Aggie.

-Atlanta (Ga.) Lovett LB Nick Jackson:The 6-foot-2, 217-pound defender was offered by A&M in late April and wanted to check out the Aggies. He will get his chance this weekend as he makes his way to College Station.

-Dickinson TE Jalen Wydermyer: A&M has one tight end committed but the Aggies are still in talks with Wydermyer as well. He has been a hot prospect as of late, picking up quite a few big offers, but he says he will likely be in Aggieland this weekend. He does not plan to announced anytime soon.

-Buford (Ga.) Lanier QB Zach Calzada:Fresh of the Elite 11 finals, Calzada is visiting UCLA, North Carolina and A&M this week. He will be in town on Friday and Saturday and the Aggies want to see him throw in person at camp.

-Horn Lake (Miss.) LB Nakobe Dean:The five-star prospect told 247Sports that he will 'supposedly' be taking an unofficial to A&M this weekend. What exactly he meant by the word 'supposedly,' he said he meant that he was not 100-percent sure if he was visiting just yet. A&M has a very legitimate shot at the nation's No. 27 overall prospect, though, even if he does not make it this coming weekend.

CLASS OF 2020

-North Shore RB Zachary Evans: The state's top prospect in the class of 2020, the five-star running back has been to College Station a number of times. He will be back again and is the best hope of A&M breaking the North Shore drought that dates back to the class of 2000.

-Fort Bend Austin WR Troy Omeire:A&M was the first to offer the four-star receiver and he remains very high on the Aggies. He will be in town again this weekend.

-Fort Bend Austin OL Kendal Septs:Septs, who is teammates with Omeire, was offered by the Aggies on an unofficial visit back in March. He is a 'maybe' for this weekend at this point.

CAN'T MAKE IT

-Spring Dekaney cornerback Marcus Banks is planning to announce in about a month and it's a good bet that A&M is where he will land but he has an official visit to LSU set for this weekend.

-Houston North Forest offensive tackle Javonne Shepherd has long had plans this weekend so will likely not be able to make it. He plans to visit Texas on Tuesday but a decision from him is not coming in the near future. He will be back to A&M at some point soon.

-Fort Worth Southwest jumbo wide receiver Nnamdi Adim-Madumere will be headed to Alabama for camp. The same is true of 2021 Houston Episcopal offensive tackle Donovan Jackson.

-Katy Seven Lakes DE/LB David Ugwoegbu will not be able to make it and does not have any visits anywhere coming up at this point.

2COMMENTS

-Cibolo Steele four-star class of 2020 cornerback Jaylon Jones, who was recently offered by A&M, says he has to take the ACT on Saturday so will not be able to be there. He will, however, be in Aggieland on Friday instead, though. New Caney four-star cornerback Dwight McGlothern also has the ACT on Saturday.

-Class of 2021 Katy Taylor offensive tackle Hayden Conner has a family funeral to attend, so he will no longer be able to make it.

Wydermyer is really good and we've shown zero interest in him (not that I'm complaining - Liebrock and Wiley is a crazy combo) - I wonder what his deal is?

We like Wiley more

“The five-star prospect told 247Sports that he will 'supposedly' be taking an unofficial to A&M this weekend. What exactly he meant by the word 'supposedly,' he said he meant that he was not 100-percent sure if he was visiting just yet.”

Now that’s a recruitment that is completely clean.

I notice Perroni left out that Medley and Rayburn are visiting FSU on Thursday. I get it though. We have to throw a bone to the red ass Aggys who actually believe they can waltz into Florida and take who they want. Those of us who live back here in reality know that isn't the case. Medley has Clemson and FSU on the top of his list and Rayburn supposedly has FSU and UF as his top schools.

Nakobe Dean ain't going to Aggy. That's a pipe dream Perroni.

Whats great about this is that ESPN adjusts content on every page for each visitor based on who it thinks the visitors favorite teams are.. so this guy probably uses ESPN to creep on Texas a lot (while using texags for aggy news). He probably has no idea the internet works this way though

Exactly. I don’t know why he’d include that quote.

The Aggies extended an offer to Ocala (FL) West Port QB Brian Maurer today, and he had t following to say about Texas A&M.

"I've been a fan of watching Texas A&M's offense and now you have Jimbo Fisher there who I'm familiar with from Florida State. He's produced 11 NFL quarterbacks. He's a great quarterbacks coach and a great coach overall."

He did not name any favorites but he did say the Aggies along with West Virginia and UCF wWould be among those on his list of finalist when he draws it up in the near future.
