We didn't get blown out against Georgia.  It was a 14-10 game.  We had the momentum and they ran a gimmick play to get a 4th down and then we took a stupid penalty on another 4th down.  Then they did a gimmick onsides and it was ballgame.  That's not a blowout.  We make 1 stop and we win the game.

wait, except they didn't and then it was a blowout. It wasn't a 14-10 game with Texas ever having the ball. Texas

NEVER HAD THE FUCKING BALL AFTER BEING DOWN A FULL TOUCHDOWN

TEXAS NEVER HAD THE BALL NOT DOWN 2 COMPLETE SCORES

TEXAS NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO MAKE IT A TIE GAME.

It was not close, it was a complete and smooth assfucking. Getting within 4, never getting the ball back and then getting your shit pushed in when it matters is exactly what a fucking blowout looks like you idiot. Georgia wasn't scoring in garbage time, they were scoring in PRIME game time.

Alright, there are some actual differences in opinion around here right now, and then there is this delusional take.

Texas got blown out. The final score, the box score, and national opinion all match that sentiment. You're going to have a VERY hard time finding many people to agree with you.

The question is, can we somehow blame this on Quinn Ewers?

I don’t think UGA thought they were in danger of losing at any point in that game. They were clearly the better team. When we cut the lead to 4, they immediately responded by putting us away.

You clearly never played and saw a momentum swing.  A blowout is being dominated start to end.  We went toe to toe with them, Arch was cooking their ass.

Before that drive, they went:
PUNT (6 plays, 16 yards)
PUNT (3 plays, 4 yards)
PUNT (6 plays, 39 yards)
PUNT (3 plays, 5 yards)
INTERCEPTION (2 plays, 6 yards)

20 plays, 70 yards

Texas loses by 25 (4 scores) and it isn't a blowout and the last touchdown from Georgia is not in garbage time or to run up the score it was with *check notes* 4:43 left IN THE FUCKING GAME.

So not only did Texas have a shot to score more than 10 points with 5ish minutes left to go, they did jack shit and then gave the ball back with 2:26 to go. Didn't use clock, didn't use time outs, didn't do shit right. They got BLOWN. THE. FUCK. OUT.

A blowout is not ONLY being dominant from start to end. You can hang around three quarters, then the momentum swings and you get your ass blown out. Sure, it was close, for three quarters, then it wasn't.

Firstly, this is some serious cope.

Secondly, that's ok, we all need some way to cope right now.

We all hoped we would show up in Athens. We did not, and it was apparent pretty quickly.

Lots of us hoped, even into the second half, but there was never a second of confidence because we don’t have those players and we don’t have those coaches.

Could things change? Sure, but not this year.

We looked like a busted piñata 🪅 at a Little League party. And if it is TRUE we barely practiced for this game and instead took off a lot of time during our bye week we had no hope of being competitive. That’s a HC problem no matter how much people don’t want it to be.

how do you not practice much at all  for the biggest fucking game of the year and our best shot at the playoffs? With our personnel who clearly need the fucking practice? How??!!!

i cannot defend it and the people cutting the checks should be LIVID.

borrowing a quote from a Few Good Men and altering it to apply to Sark:

My feeling is that if this football team continues to be handled in the same fast-food, slick-ass ‘Persian Bazaar’ manner with which Sark has seemed to handle his entire efforts toward the 2025 season, then something’s gonna get missed. And that something is likely going to rear its ugly head over the next two games. Period.

Persian Bazaar means everything is up for grabs like in a market place: all bets are off if Sark approached the Georgia game in this way.

dumb ass.

That’s kind of what I always thought a blowout was. Even down 21–10, I thought we were still in it and if we were to lose the final score would have us losing by 7 or 10. The fourth quarter was a disaster though, and you could feel the energy leave the Texas side once Georgia recovered the onside kick. In that sense, the game finished like it was a blowout because of the way our team reacted to the Georgia momentum. Everyone in that stadium knew our defense was leaving it all out there and the tank was running on empty.

It’s a couple posts up. From another poster. I thanked him for his post, he said much of the defense was at a basketball game Wednesday night. He said ESPN reported we only practiced two days the previous week and had a lot of time off, how does this happen????

this alone is pitchfork worthy, and people WONDERED WHY WE LOOKED LIKE SHIT COMING OUT OF A BYE WEEK TO PLAY FLORIDA??? And IT had posted some nugget they never clarified like “you reap what you sow in practice” kind of cryptic comment. We didn’t know what it meant. So we have two games that were important to our season as a WHOLE and we had bye weeks before them and we come out of those bye weeks losing big? Florida put us in the hurt locker but losing to Georgia that way put our chances on life support, if that’s true he can eat his own ass.

Sark could murder Bevo, give Aggie our playbook ahead of the game and call only plays from it, pull down his pants and shit on the field and cut the horns off it and say it makes his nipples hard to get beat by Arky and some of you dingdongs would still defend him.

I think it's hilarious how we skipped the spring game, had a light fall camp, rested tons of players during the season that could have played.... so we could have a healthy roster for the.... Alamo Bowl.  If only we'd had physical practices like other programs to prepare this team for the grind and physicality of this conference.  This is one of the softest teams I've seen at Texas in a while relative to the talent level.  Also most undisciplined Texas team I have seen in my 20+ years of watching Texas football.

they got blown the fuck out by Georgia and were hardly competitive with Florida. No one cares about the Ohio State loss even if you replace it with a rice win or some other bullshit win. They played like such dogshit against SJSU that they wouldn't have stayed #1 and probably would have dropped to at least 2, maybe even 3 or 4 based on the rest of their dogshit ooc schedule that they didn't take care of business for. So they would likely have been similarly ranked when they LOST TO UNRANKED DOGSHIT Florida BY TWO FUCKING SCORES (one technically, because 2 pt conversion, but fuck off it was a 2 score game). They would have dropped out of the polls either way. Manning looked like ass. The second half of OU was magical, but it doesn't make up for sucking shit through a straw in Kentucky and Mississippi state, then coming home and whipping a fraudulent vandy team, then turning around and getting blown the fuck out by Georgia in a more than 3 score assfucking.

other 2 loss teams (don't count ohio state loss and count it as a whatever win)

Notre Dame - Losses to Miami (lol) and a robbery loss to TAMU on the last play of a game - a must if they win out

Oklahoma - Losses to Texas, ugly but rivalry, and down to the wire Ole Miss a real contender one loss team - a real contender

Alabama - Losses to FSU, WTF early season loss, and down to the wire w/ Oklahoma - a real contender

Miami - Two wtf losses to louisville and SMU - certified ACC dogshit.

Vandy - Losses to Texas and Alabama - a pretender trying to be a contender.

USC - Losses to a decent Illinois and Notre Dame - A wildcard deserving a spot if they win out

MICH - losses to Oklahoma (not good, but freshman qb first big away game), a contender and USC a good team - a wildcard earning a spot if they win out

Texas - Losses to absolute dogshit florida by 2 scores and a complete fucking blowout by georgia a real contender -

Theres 8 no or 1 loss teams. So out of the above you can pick a maximum of 4 teams. ND and Alabama are for sure in barring chaos. that's 2 teams left out of that group. Oklahoma wins out and they are in, you can't take that away from them. so 1 team left. Out of every other team available there with everyone winning out you choose Texas over a USC or Michigan that knock off Oregon or Ohio State? - now lets say that none of that does happen, then sure Texas looks like it has the furthest outside shot left, except OH MY GOD WE NEED A G5 TEAM AND AN ACC LOSER FUCK TEAM - theres no room for Texas in this playoff with it's resume EVEN IF IT HAD ONLY 2 LOSSES.

Did I say they were making the playoffs?

Also, everyone forgets that the Georgia game was a 4 point game going into the 4th quarter. That 4th quarter was dogshit but you change the result on 1 4th down play or the onside kick and that quarter looks completely different.
