Maybe but I doubt it. Who knows how long it took for them to find Jyn in rogue one. Could've been weeks or months.

It took like 10 years to find Jyn, she was a kid and then went to jail after being raised by Saw!

Do we know what led to Jyn being on that prison camp planet? Is it in canon or no?

You're currently calling yourself Liana Hallik.

Is that correct?

Possession of unsanctioned weapons, forgery of Imperial documents, aggravated assault, escape from custody, resisting arrest

Imagine if the Imperial authorities had found out who you really were. Jyn Erso?

Yeah I got that but what was she up to?

Acting out against the Empire for killing her mom and taking away her dad?

I’m in the minority that liked S1 a bit more than S2.

Clearly S2 was still excellent, but I really appreciated the slow build of S1.  I also loved Maarva, Mosk, and Kino, for example, more than the Maya Pei idiots and even Krennec.

And then the speeches that you mention… I don’t remember any from S2 that even approached S1’s.  Luthen’s, Kino’s, Maarva’s, Nemik’s manifesto, all were pretty significantly better than Mon’s Senate speech, and I don’t think anything else in S2 even ranks.

Again, S2 was outstanding in its own right and I’ll rewatch it a ton as well.  I think my argument is that S1 was severely underrated, not that S2 was overrated.

It wasn't really a long monologue or speech, but Cassian's pep talk to the mechanic at the beginning of S2 Ep 1 is outstanding:

Werid that it came across my timeline.
cuz I was finger snapping during andor.

but is the little chunky fellow the same actor in andor. The one that helps syril?

I like his character in andor. A little hard charging fellow

Still one of my fave characters and little arcs in that miniseries.

Miners strait cut through the bullshit.  "If these masks were helping you'd be wearing them." "Oh it's hot, so we're working nude fuck you"

Saved the fucking day too knowing it was going to kill them.

I didn't want to read this thread until I finished season 2, and wow was it worth it. What an incredibly good show, the best of anything Star Wars since 1981. Well done characters, motivations, acting, pacing, direction and beautiful settings that didn't overwhelm you with CGI. Everything you could ask for in the "how did the Rebellion come about?" series. I love the feeling of the hopelessness and tension in many of the scenes.

Great intrigue throughout, lots of unknown outcomes and unexpected twists, excellent weaving of multiple storylines together without getting hung up on a single one. Even the villains were likeable in the sense that you understood their motives and what drives them. I loved seeing how the ISB works and how they plan and execute their tasks. The actors were great, excellent casting choices, and Mendelsohn was absolutely perfect. He has a gravitas about him that was took over every scene he was in. Dedra was a great choice too, so ambitious to move up the ladder only to be left humiliated, ashamed, broken and sentenced to a death camp. Just an incredible rollercoaster of a ride with her story.

I hope there is not only more of it, but more of this style of Star Wars, gritty, harsh, tense and lots of difficult situations with just a few glimmers of hope sprinkled in here and there.

Finished ANH 💪🏻. Now onto the empire strikes back.

Rogue 2 is the pilot/ship to rescue han and Luke deep in the snow.

I like that name. Rogue. Sounds cool. Would name a pet that.

Krennic’s character got a huge boost from Andor S2. Now when he says to Tarkin in RO, “We stand here amidst MY ACHIEVEMENT, not yours!” that hits home way more than it did.

She actually looks better in that picture than in real life.  She is just really unfortunate looking.

She's actually much better looking when she smiles and doesn't have that horrible Dedra hair.  I think she was only allowed to smirk once in the entire series - the rest of the time she had on the gold standard resting bitch face.

I thought that is how she got access to the Death Star plans, but I don’t recall how he got access to her files.

Does anyone know how Lonni got access to Dedra’s files? Was that ever mentioned?

He used her code cert. I don’t think we know exactly how he got access to them, but he somehow had her passcodes to access her individual files

He's had her code cert for a year now...whatever that means.  That's the depth of the explanation.  He didn't tell Luthen so he wouldn't be pushed to use it.  He went into Dedra's  files when he started suspecting that they were on to Luthen after his convo with whomever else (I had a two hour window) and that is when he found the Death Star Fwd Email from the Nigerian Prince.

Remember the whole meeting starts off with Luthen saying "you rang the big bell". Lonni usually broke something out in public to indicate he wanted to meet...he didn't use the radio.

And the higher ups/Krennick knew Lonni was logged into her account, just not whether Dedra gave it to him or what. Hence why they assumed she was working with Lonni and Luthen

Thanks. I remember all of that, I just wasn’t sure if I had missed something. Rogue 1 is on right now and everything about it is even better after Andor.

I couldn’t help it and started a rewatch last night. I’m on the “Axe Remembers”.  This show is brilliant on every level. Every character matters. Every conversation means something. Every look conveys the unspoken meaning.

My main concern about this series is that Disney misunderstands the core appeal of it, like Lucas with ESB. Then they make a new series of "Young Luthen" in the style of Indiana Jones, showing us how he became a collector of antiquities before being drafted into the military.

This will be the last show like it going forward. There will be no follow-up shows or prequels other than in comics and books. Disney is not going to pay for streaming Star Wars going forward. Ahsoka season 2 is it. We'll get some animated shows but Star Wars on Disney+ does not pay for itself any longer. Gilroy even says Disney told him that streaming is dead. Everything live action will be movies going forward.
