Interesting that whatever formula espn uses for its playoff likelihood has Seattle and Houston both around 20% higher than Texas, despite the obviously very similar records.

Just looked it up and that's bizarre.

Granted it's assuming that two of us will take the WC spots either way.

Toronto is only a couple of games behind the ALWest pack, so that is far from a certainty.

Sure, and it's far from a certainty that we don't win the division.

Just making the point that they still have us making the playoffs.

Odd as Seattle looks to have the toughest schedule in September overall.  Surely they come down to earth.  Stros probably the easiest schedule.

They had it really easy against the A's tonight........wait

Also we play them 7 times including finishing out the season with them, and they have 7 with the cheaters to go too.

Damn near everyone is off on Thursday for whatever reason, so tomorrow is the last game of the month. it’s not crazy to think that all 3 AL west teams could be tied for first entering September baseball.

They don't want to compete with the first NFL game.

NFL does not start tomorrow. At least I hope not. The fantasy leagues I’m in all have their draft this weekend.

NFL starts the first Thursday after Labor Day the past several years.

OK, you're right. Maybe they set it up that way to make room for makeup games. Who the hell knows. Baseball does weird shit.
