NASA has a programming "oops" V'Ger 2 cant transmit data for 2 months now

I saw this yesterday and my first thought was....   We're worried about a 45 year old satellite is malfunctioning?  Considering this thing was built with 70's technology and has been floating around in the ether for that long, it's been a huge success.

Isn't the failure to properly rotate the antenna what caused HAL to freak the fuck out initially?  And this is all happening IRL, the same week NASA announces they've already deployed AI on some of their previous missions?  Yeah, can't wait to see where this is going...

supposedly V'Ger 2 will auto reset itself in the correct position on oct 15th
