Irish music and narrator. I hear that spot  every night while walking the dog. This shit rules. I used to work with them and wasn't a fan, but this changes things.

luka for 31 last night.  10-11 from the line.  eventually LeBron is going to tell him, no reason to bitch so much about calls, the name on the front of the jersey takes care of most of it.

Well... I don't fault Nico for that one. We offered him an extension but he declined and wanted to test FA this summer.  He's a fun player to watch.

No one has money for free agency this off season. If you are making a trade for AD to push this year, you roll with the better player.

And the mavs GAVE UP a second rd pick in the deal.

Grimes scored more points tonight than minutes AD/Martin have played for the mavs.

Lebron also bitches though

I’m still so fucking angry. The Adelson/DuMont regime is worse than I feared, and my fears were off the charts to begin with.

Called into Rich Eisen Show this week to express same… it’s so fucked and I’m riding the emotional rollercoaster on the daily.

Dallas Mavericks season ticket prices are going up, here's why | wfaa.com

Quote

DALLAS — Dallas Mavericks season ticket holders saw a price hike in their season ticket renewal option, which was sent out Monday.

The average overall price increase will be 8.61%, according to a press release from the Dallas Mavericks. The increases reflect ongoing investments in team and fan engagement, the team said in a statement.

Would be interesting to see attendance figures and tv ratings post Luka..,

I bought a digital antenna so that I could watch the games. Tubed in regularly. Had a reminder on my iCal.

Since the trade, I have watched 0 minutes. I have no interest in the mavs anymore.

I mean, the damage is done. What big name would even think about signing here without a no-trade clause? Going "easy" on Luka ain't helping shit.

On the flip side, if a Bill Duffy client ever signs here again we'll know right away that this was a hit job by the league.

I mean what big FA have you guys signed in recent history?

Didn't say anything about big FAs. I said Bill Duffy clients.

I take that back anyway. We'll know what's up on lottery night, 'cause our ass is gonna be in it.

Isn’t trading your star player and having all your good players injured and then raising ticket prices the plot of major league II?

My best friend that's the Mavs fan actually mentioned this yesterday afternoon when we were talking. I told him I hope they don't borrow the part from the first movie and wind up with a cutout of Miriam Adelson or Dumont.

The ironic part is if we hadn't traded Luka, we would probably be able to weather this storm while Kyrie is out. Gonna be funny when this all comes crumbling down after Kyrie declines his player option this summer and we're left with an aging, always hurt AD as the only piece to build around.

Did Luka curse the place as he left? wtf. I feel for Mavs fans. God damn

Also feels there’s a culture problem in your S&C program for all the injuries

Nico/Adelson's cursed this team and every remaining player on it.  I hope the STH renewal rate is abysmal.

So do the Adelsons so they can move the team to Vegas 🤮

We had one of the most respected S&C programs in the league until Nico fired the head trainer because he couldn't get Luka to stop drinking beer.

Nico Harrison turned a championship window extending out past the next decade into a fight to tank for Cooper Flagg.

Real Mavs fans don’t deserve this.

Mother fucking Nico and Kidd will be gone in a year and we’re left with this dumpster fire.

They literally can’t get him. There is no way they could tank Enough.  Heck as bad as the teams behind them are they might still make the fucking play in. 😩

That’s been debunked so many times.  They are NOT moving the team. It’s important for their hopes of legalized gambling here.

Besides the league and owners would make way more by expanding to Vegas. Not moving  team there.

This was not a play to move Dallas. They just have no fucking clue what they’re doing.

Not true. If we get into the lottery we have an 8% chance of our ping pong ball rolling out first.

They are 4 games back of getting into the top 10. If AD gets shut down the rest of the way they will be well inside the top 10.

You're right...

The Mavericks have NEVER moved up in the lottery.  Only stayed in their spot or went Down.

but sure...some astronomical chance it happens.

If David Stern were still here, he'd probably assure Dallas got the top pick as a make up.  Doubt we move up at all though.

You see the teams behind us right? The Suns want to win but can't...everyone else is not winning at all.

Mavs still have a good chance of just staying pat at 10th. Which is even worse, ugh.

Hearing they also raised season ticket prices again by 13%. This is after they raised the prices 30% last offseason. Incredible effort to tank the value of a franchise in a matter of weeks.

That makes all of this even worse.  I guess I can officially move the NBA to the list of sports I don't really follow.  This whole episode reminds me of how I felt when Beard got arrested...just a "no way that just happened" thing.

Agreed...there was just no reasoning behind this other than Nico saying "I don't like Luka or his work ethic, so let's get rid of him"

That's way too long for my patience @Bozo_Casanova. And yeah, I mean about moving too. If this is gonna be the ownership group long term then I'm fucking out anyway so who gives a shit.

My son pointed out in the car this morning that Kyrie was crying when he was shooting those free throws, and I just told him "then you already know what the MRI is going to say." 😔

Fuck everything.

They “only” raised ours about 4%, but last year they also gave us a 10% loyalty discount. The ticket rep called the guy who buys our tickets every year and made it clear that they would not be offering any kind of loyalty discount today.

He told her we were done because the team is shitty, Luka is gone, and prices keep going up.

I feel really bad for those ticket reps right now.
