A big ridge of high pressure will soon settle in over Texas. Every day from tomorrow through next Sunday will basically be a repeat of the day before. Low to mid 90's, near-zero chance of rain.

Had to step outside for a second before going to bed last night. 81 degrees with a feels like of 87 at 11 pm. This shit getting tedious.

Hope everyone enjoyed that nice 60-hour stretch from last Sunday morning until Tuesday night. Looks like it'll be a while 'til we get another dose.

It's been like 5 days.  How'd you make it through that 40 day stretch we had not long ago?

I'm a lot more tolerant of Summer when it's July and August. Less so in the middle of September.

Well we're currently about 8-10 degrees cooler each day than we were at this time last year.

Even though the highs are back up to 95 or so and will continue the next few days, humidity is lower than normal in dallas and it only gets to 94-95 for about 3 hours each day. Not a blistering day at all. I've started to think about what kind of summer this would have been without global warming. Even with it, this summer has been absolutely incredible by any standard

Yeah it’s pretty great in the shade in the morning or evening even with the humidity in Houston. I miss the low humidity I got for the 5 years I was in Austin. I remember my first night there in early August hanging out on my balcony thinking holy shit this is nice and there are no mosquitos

This.  I always get pissed by September.  Like, August is terrible and I expect it to be terrible.  September is where other parts of the country start yapping about fall and pumpkin spiced crap and we melt.

Low-er humidity. Still not low, just relative to Houston.

Yeah, this is what I was getting at. I've developed major envy for parts of the country that have distinct, defined seasons. I'm not even just talking about up north or in the mountain states. It starts getting pretty nice this time of year in places like Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville.....etc. Pretty much anywhere north of Dallas.
