Agreed - pretty cringe for a player who got paid a shit ton of money for not doing a god damn thing to criticize the people signing off on the checks.

I agree. Fuck that guy. But that doesn’t help right now.

Brooks can be a credibly good tackle with more development. Cojoe we never got to see any real playing time because of injury but Brooks can absolutely be a tackle for us at some point. Do not get confused by Flood’s total mismanagement of playing him at guard, as a freshman without any training at the position.

Was Cojoe the guy battling Baker for a starting spot before injury?

According to On3…..There are 2,543 IOL in the portal. 27% have committed elsewhere. We can’t find 3 to help us?

I mean we’ll find 3-4 in there. We don’t really have a choice. They might be bread tho

Yes

OTF says the Wisconsin IOL is Indiana bound.

Eh. If anyone thought Texas was a serious contender there, that's on them. Would have frankly been a miracle.

Well Goosby / Cojoe / Robertson / Baker / Brooks it is

God that would be a disaster lmao.

Just glancing at 247, there are some servicable OL options still uncommitted in the portal. Not holding my breath but it's possible they stumble into a couple decent pickups and patch together an OL that approximates average P4 level play. We're probbaly playing at least one guy either out of position or before they're really ready next year though.

Names I'd look at on the interiot are Emmanual Poku (two year starting OG at ECU, 2nd team all AAC in 2025) and Paki Finau (6th man OL at Washington, started afew games at G. I watched several of their games this year and he is servicable). Of course, no idea where Texas is looking or if those guys are viable at this point.

We won't know that until next year. But maybe.

0/4 on OL now.

The 9.95ers keep hinting that they're several portal recruits who secretly visited UT over the last week & don't want that info public. Regardless if there's truth to that or not, it's insane that UT has only had 4 OL portal visits so far when UT needs both OL depth & starters. Why hasn't there been visits from top G5/FCS & 2-deep non-starting P4 OL portal recruits just to set the floor & provide depth?

yeah, while a heated battle between Neto and Stroh was taking place on the other side of the line…

If you wake up with a wet spot on your forehead, you can blame it on phrasing.

Lol. You wouldn’t know them anyway, they’re from Canada.

Yes. I’m not sure how serious the position battle really was but technically yes.

Put it on the wall, I guess.

Oh wait, this isn't TexAgs and there's no "should have made the playoff" trophy.

This might not be texags, but it does seem like a lot of negative recruiting our own school goes on around here.

Wasn't it assumed to be Cojoe's position to lose?

Omarion Miller would have been an interesting name to watch but it looks like he is locking in with ASU. Nick Marsh would have been fantastic for what we really need but ofc he signed with Indiana yesterday. Scudero has major drop issues but is worth it; ofc he is locked in with Colorado. I think KSU and Boston College both had good WRs enter but those guys might be locked up as well. Going to be interesting to see where we pivot.

edit: woops mentioned BC guy twice.

I saw the BC wideout, Reed Harris, also committed to ASU. I know zero about him. That’s two of the top 4 portal WR’s for whatever that winds up being worth. It would be nice to have guys who are healthy next season at that position.

Indiana went in two years from the losingest program to outclassing everyone else on the field and in portal recruiting. Indiana.

Which shows just how ridiculously fucking awful the portal ‘ratings’ are for players. Conner Stroh wasn’t the 13th best IOL on Texas, let alone in the god damn portal.

*Everyone’s favorite, and future NFL superstar. Trent Farley is ranked 28th amongst IOL by 247. 15 spots behind human speed bump Conner fucking Stroh.

It’s amazing that Stroh wasn’t even mentioned until about mid August when he suddenly was looking really good from practice reports.

Flood should have been fired in mid August.

A nice, but jaggy jag suddenly shows signs of life in mid August of his redshirt junior year? Are you fucking kidding me? You fucked up the OL room so badly that you had to grab some red-headed blocking pylon from the back of the line and throw him into the starting lineup a couple of weeks before the start of the season?

How were we ever ranked preseason #1 with that worthless piece of shit coaching our OL in front of a first year starter at QB?

Flood sucks ass.

Hire this guy, he surely has a list of unexpected players from outside CFB to bring in to play OL.

The number 6 IOL is a three star choosing to go to Purdue?

Purdue will be his 4th stop. Juco -> 2 years at Troy -> South Carolina -> Purdue. fwiw

He had a 49.2 PFF rating in his first 4 games of the season. Improved a little later on.

Adams earned a 64.2 pass blocking grade and a 48.1 run blocking grade for the Tigers last season, according to PFF.

Last year, Baugh received a 60.8 pass blocking grade and a 55.9 run blocking grade, per PFF.

He (Echols) received a 70.6 pass blocking grade and a 51.5 run blocking grade, per the analytics site.

So does our GM, we have a GM right?

Glad someone in our staff told the $9.95ers we were going to be done by the weekend with out Oline recruiting.

They either don't have height or weight requirements or we're able to gauge height or weight much easier than we were

How many interior o line are starting, not seniors, and still in the playoffs?

that is the real worry. Does anyone have faith in Flood's ability to coaching the OL up and identify the best 5?

Everyone here is going to be eating a lot of crow very soon when they learn "all in" means stealing half of Indiana's national championship team right from under them. O Line and all
