Not strictly transfer related, but significant roster news

  • This kind of shit from our fanbase wears me out. Sark took over a lost program and since we've been to 2 semis and should have been in the playoffs this year but for a committee that doesn't understan

This might be what makes sense. Coleman is a big outside receiver, and if they are also keeping Wingo, the Coleman position would be Livingstone's.

Fingers crossed. It would be dope to land him

Parker is a redshirt freshman. If his catches were gonna drop next year or they didn't meet his NIL ask who knows. However, he could have sucked it up for a year and waited his turn as an upper classes if he wanted to.

Obviously he didn't. Texas didn't throw him out the door. So yes, this is just like wisner leaving and should be viewed the same.

Wtf on livingstone. Losing some people that were diehards. Rather make a few extra couple hundred thousands rather than try and be drafted? He had to believe in arch. Was it because Jackson came back?

But that presumes that someone out there will pay more…watching games last weekend, yesterday and today, I don’t see any of the contenders that would consider him to be an upgrade.

Livingstone demanded a million dollars? Are you sure?

Just now, Red Five said:

As in, we told him he wasn't going to be getting any?

As in he wanted a certain number and we weren't gonna pay it. This isn't new. CTJ has said repeatedly Texas puts a value on players and doesn't budget except in exceptional cases.

Yall realize Livingstone had a 30% drop rate right? He'll he dropped a perfect one yesterday.

Its all relative. If Parker was paid 100k and now wants 500k. That's a bigger ask than Wisner going from 650 to a million.

But the reasoning is the same. More money or more playing time was more important.

Given that we know we're big game hunting at the position and what we have in the pipeline why do you believe he was going to have a similar or elevated role next year?

Ryan Williams turned in a big 26 yd catch but only added 5 catches for 27 yds outside that one play. As his team got demolished by 35 points and only scored a FG.

Those hillbillies can keep him

We prefer to be called rednecks or trailer trash, though Cullman County denizens are predominantly referred to as meth heads. Hillbillies live in the Ozarks….

A 3 outside WR rotation of Wingo, Coleman, and Moseley would be damn salty for a leveled up Arch in his NFL audition and heisman favorite season.

Arch and Sark cutting out Arch's buddy and roommate to bring in a more talented mercenary is some football game of thrones shit. Provided they're still buddies and Arch didn't bang Livingstone's hoe or something.

It's good that he can play both the X, Y, and Z. He's super important to our offense. But we need a high level X WR to take the top off the defense and fight for 50/50 balls (Wingo seems to forget that Part). Lockett looks to be a guy that can do that. I don't know anything about Ffrench once he arrived on the 40.

I, for one, am heartbroken that Jaggy McJaggerson was told to go be mediocre and drop passes somewhere else. Maybe he’ll wind up with $250k from a dumbass program like Tech that wants to claim victory off the field against Texas.

I am now claiming analytical dominion over all of the idiots on this site who thought that this reject from Alan Jackson’s lineage would ever amount to anything worth a fuck at the University of Texas. All of you people have been cheering blindly for a traitorous hillbilly born with a silver spoon in his mouth and skillets for hands.

Livingstone was ass yesterday. Recency bias but he’s not worth what he thinks.

Die hard my ass. A gun wasn't held to his head to get in that motherfucker. It's his decision.

Maybe Sark has gotten much more hardcore?

Lockett has way more upside than Livingstone.

Not sure what the staff sees in McCutcheon. Looks very mediocre at best.

Grayson Sheena special for all you haters.

This one is definitely a headscratcher from multiple perspectives.

Which part? The fact that Wisner is a JAG, or that he was asking for RB1 money for a JAG?

Bobby says he’s hearing at least 6 potential transfers will be on campus this weekend, “and that number is climbing”

Any update on his injury from bowl game?

Sounds like they think it is nothing major and should not heavily impact winter/spring conditioning.

Expect Texas to spend 10-15 million in the transfer portal this off season. We need a starting RB, 2 starting WRs, a starting LB, 2 starting OL (maybe 3), a starting DL, and maybe a kicker?

You were crying while typing that, weren’t you?

We’re here for you, buddy

Well lets see...

1 WR, 2/3 IOL, 1/2 RBs, 1/2 LBs, P, K, and ?

Livingstone didn't have many drops until last night. He was probably our most sure handed receiver this year

Interesting this has a lot of likes. I remember him having quite a few drops, and thought that if it weren’t for wingo he’d get more shit for them

Portal, Wingo (maybe), Mosley

McCutcheon, Ffrench, Lockett, Livingstone

Then three true freshmen. That would have been 10. And those first six are all gonna play a bunch, and so is Bishop. I suppose it makes more sense if you think about it in a "PL wasn't going to even be in the two-deep" sort of way.

I can safely guarantee you that Kohen Brown will not make a difference. Like, he's a head scratcher. Chris Stewart actually does have the skills to be a reliable guy. So Stewart and Bishop + (portal or two), Wingo, Lockett, Ffrench, McCutcheon should be solid.

Bobby also saying Texas is the leader for Louisville RB Isaac Brown and that they are also pursuing Jadan Baugh should he enter the portal. Says they will pursue two RB’s.

Think about how hard it would be to defend us with Cam Coleman and a figured his shit out Ryan Wingo on the outside with Mosely in the slot. And Arch Goddamn Manning at QB

48 minutes ago, HateYouAndMyself said:

Wisner was a JAG asking for RB1 money. Maybe we will soon find out that Livingstone was also making absurdly unrealistic asks but I highly doubt it. Livingstone is also a fairly average outside WR. Wisner was considerably below average by every objective measure.

When you're 137th in the country at your position, it's time to push you out.

I can has upgrayded OL, plz??

Yeah, how injured is he?

The injury update is important, since his high-quality treatment at Texas would end immediately if he hit the portal, wouldn't it?

Such strange scenarios the portal creates!

I’m way out of the loop here but that seems pretty steep for 8 guys - 1 being a kicker

Everything pointing to the horns going all in next year to capitalize on Arch's last year and pay for top flight players. I'm guessing the message to our young guys like Parker is stick around and you'll get a chance to play some next year, and a lot more the next year. Some will stay but others want to be starters and will move on. You don't get a chance like we'll have next year very often, so I get the strategy and am fine with it.

Really, what if Ffrench and Lockett make triple what he makes? And he thinks he is better than those guys.

Goosby, the ND center and at least one probably two veteran guards

What about a punter?

I like how people are thinking Wingo is gonna flip a switch at this point

He is who he is. Dropsies and great plays. Dude is a day 2 draft pick. Although he’s hit his ceiling at Texas and we all know it

I don’t think it was Becht that got that money. I believe Beau Pribula is transferring back to Penn State for something around 3mil

I honestly don't mind the musical chairs of CFB ech year. You get to upgrade at positions, while shedding fat from the roster. We haven't lost a single difference maker, but we've added sone helluva lot of ballers.

The thing is pair his with a healthy Mosley and a real #1 WR, and that is an absolutely great guy to have. Have him as your #1 with no real 1b option and a less than dynamic TE group and he is a liability.

I say cut Wingo loose and let him drop passes for someone else, including secsecsec peoples.

Negative. Don’t you realize we are building the greatest 7on7 team ever?

That would certainly be something if it happens

Apparently Cal’s coaches and recruiting staff are all following Jagger on X now. No other intel besides that and while Cal needs 4 or 5 WRs, their problem this season was dropped passes all over the field. Doesn’t seem like that would be alleviated if he ends up in Berkeley
