I know Virginia had that series against Florida State canceled but I don’t see how you can put them in the field.

Ended up dodging 4 of the top 7 in the ACC because of scheduling and cancellation of FSU series. 63rd in the RPI, 5-6 in Q1 games, 243rd ranked non conference SOS. Had a chance to stack some wins in the tournament and you lose day 1 to a Boston College team that finished 28-29

I'd put them in over aggy.

But neither should be in.

Southern Miss is a team to watch today. If they win the Sun Belt tourney against Coastal Carolina today it will be hard not to give them a host.

Will that include the seeds? Or just the sites? Because I would like to know who we are paired with for the super. Otherwise, this is a useless announcement.

Just sites I think

You’re excused because it’s impossible to remember all the changes in conference members

Austin tabbed as one of 16 regional host sites for NCAA Division I Baseball Championship

AUSTIN, Texas — For the 38th time in program history, the University of Texas has been selected as one of 16 Regional host sites for the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship.

Following its best regular season in 15 years, Texas (42-12) will be making its 64th postseason appearance when play at the Austin Regional begins Friday, May 30 at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

The Longhorns are 155-59-1 (.723) all-time in Regional contests, including an 87-22 (.798) ledger in Austin.

Texas is one of eight SEC schools to host the Regional Round, joining Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. To view all 16 host sites, click HERE.

The Longhorns last hosted a regional in 2022, when second-seeded Louisiana Tech, third-seeded Dallas Baptist and fourth-seeded Air Force visited UFCU Disch-Falk Field in early June.

The Austin Regional, as well as the entire field of 64, will be announced at 11 a.m. Monday on ESPN2.

All session tickets will go on sale to Longhorn Foundation donors at the Icon level and above at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27.

If available, single session tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 29.

So...uh...do you have to be a Longhorn Foundation donor to buy all session tickets now? Holy shit. Granted we haven't hosted since 2022 and that is a long time in this era of college sports.

So, I'll bite, how much do you have to shell out to be an Icon Level foundation member?

i feel like we usually get an email about postseason tickets sooner than this - anyone have any intel?

Mine went to spam/trash. Give them a call, don't know if they can help this late, but worth a try.

Everyone complains about the SEC getting too many bids but no one is talking about the B1G.

Oregon has 12 Q3 and Q4 losses and only played 10 Q1 games the entire season.

UCLA only has 3 Q1 wins.

The Big 10 has been a mid-major Baseball league for decades. I feel like their reputation from other sports is biasing things.

Of course the PAC 12 was a major baseball league and both those teams are former PAC 12 teams.

Also the West Coast always seemed under rated when it came to RPI for whatever reason.

I’m waiting to see which regional will be welcoming number three seed Florida with open arms.

I really hope it’s Tallahassee. That would be perfect postseason theatrics.
