Yeah they need Overshown BAD

This won't make any shred of difference..... He won't be 100% and he's not a run stuffer.

I don’t disagree he seemed to wear down every year. That said, I saw a stat when he was traded that the Cowboys’ defense was one of the best in the league the past four seasons in expected opponents points per play, if not the best, when he was on the field. When he was off the field, it was dead last in the NFL in that same metric.

You'd do better arguing with a wall.  He doesn't have stats or experience to really back up this thesis, so it just goes to motivated reasoning.

We’re wasting one of Daks best season because our defense can’t stop a nose bleed

We're wasting one of the best seasons a Dallas QB has ever had because of the defense.  That's the real tragedy.

Here's some fun stats:

When folks don't understand about being so reactive and just sitting back in a reactive zone.

But it's the QB's fault:

Historically bad..... And we haven't even played the toughest part of our schedule.

Good for Rico..... It's also why we shouldn't break the bank on Javonte..... Rico got 3m this year.  We should have paid him and Williams.

Frankly, though I'm in the minority, I'm sick of how increasingly easy it has become in the NFL to come back late, sometimes after big deficits. It has become basketball. It's so much about penalties or lack of penalties called at peak moments. Too much about 2-point conversions, that give teams an opportunity to make up for past failures. Too much about stickyass receiver gloves so you don't even need great hands to be a really productive receiver. You just need one meat-hook. Filed position and defending your end is virtually meaningless any more. Even the 60 yard field goals are routine. Maybe they should think about widening the hash marks again, or narrowing the goal posts.

Big comebacks are fun. But they are too common. They were great because they were hard. It took a lot more grit and real skill and smart play. When it  happened, it was really something. Now you pretty much expect it about five games a week in the NFL. Everything they do benefits the offense, even to the point where the laws of basic physics do not apply in NFL rules.

Anyway, just an old fart pissing in the wind. But in this raised on video game world  today, very few people really get it. It's a damn shame.

Virtually no defense in todays game can stop a team, unless it's a total shit team. You really can't play bend but don't break bullshit any more. It's all about pressure. You can be good against the run, but it don't mean shit if you are garbage against a bottom third qb and a few stick-em gloved fast guys.

You get the qb, or the qb gets you.

Fire DC Matt ElmerFudd. Bring in a modern football guy that understands.

Jags bench cooper rush.

But yeah. Cooper was a terrible fit for the Ravens. He's about as opposite of Lamar as you can get. They ain't built for that shit.

Jags bench cooper rush. Put in guy off the practice squad. It took three games for John Harbaugh to give up on former Cowboys QB

It's always a good idea to have a backup who is so mediocre that the starter doesn't have to worry about losing his job... doesn't have to improve. Case in point, Dak Prescott/Cooper Rush.

What are you trying to say here?  You think Dallas should have had a better Backup than Rush...who pretty much won almost every game he started for them(wen they were good) until Dak went down for the half the season last year(and the team was bad).  He was like 5-1or something the previous 2 years and idiots were saying they were BETTER with him than Dak.

So I'm not sure what you're trying to imply here.

I would trade Milton for Rush in a heartbeat, when the OL is actually decent.

If Milton ever has to play in a meaningful NFL game in meaningful time, defenses will make his head spin and he'll be a turnover machine.

Oh on that I agree. Rush can steady them for a game or two for sure.  Just don't want him starting for 6+ games.

The cowboys could just fire the entire defensive staff and let the players do what the want and it would probably generate more turnovers, at least.

Use that salary on the George Pickens contract extension fund.

Eberflus is the same guy who coached Chicago last Thanksgiving where they let the clown run down completely to end the game when they still had timeouts. He's a very low IQ football coach. Was a terrible hire.

This defense is all-time bad. Someone posted this a few weeks ago but if you have the stats of every QB we play this season and combine them into one player, it's going to be a hall of fame great season. And we haven't even gotten to the hard part of our schedule, which is very soon. Going 1-2 against Chicago, NYJ, Carolina when you have a razor thin margin of error isn't going to get it done. They have zero shot at the playoffs this year with this defense.

I never liked Rush. He wasn't really starter material. I want a backup with the potential to win the starting spot. Maybe a backup who comes in for a series or two when the starter is having a bad game, scrambles, shakes things up, gets the team pumped up, gets the starter's head back in the game. That ain't Cooper Rush. Seems maybe those guys are hard to find. Don't understand why that is.

Dak has his moments, but something is missing. Great some games, then gets distracted. No killer instinct. Same could be said for Clottenschotter.

There aren't really 32 starting QBs in the NFL, much less starter material backups.

to be fair, the 40 second clock was really instituted so that you didn't have to worry about the ref starting the play clock.  they also started the 40 second clock after a TD, after the PAT, in an effort to speed up the game.

It had the benefit of also ending a game at the 2min warning(or just inside of it) if the defending team had no TO's and the offense had a 1st down.  That didn't used to be the case so there could still be a change in possession which would extend the game.

That happened last weekend. We saw one (I forget who) team come out after the two-minute warning and sit on the ball - literally took the snap and downed the ball, and ran out the clock.. That should never happen.

Under the old rules we saw more desperation football in the last two minutes. Desperation is great. Hurry up offenses. A lot more onside kicks - which if done properly can be pretty damn exciting.

He was a failure when he was hired, his only accomplishment was having come from the sperm of someone famous. Nobody worthwhile would be dumb enough to work for Jerry Jones.

Can't we get a coach with some Shanahan sperm?
