I avoided Galindo as long as I could, but here I am now watching Cal and SMU.

Glad he missed I was on a one play max with Lowell.

Suck it ponies...

Lol Duke playing in the ACC champ game. That conference is comically fucking bad.

And Miami should be left out for not even getting to the CCG.

the ACC is a one big league.  Big 12 can maybe get 2. Maybe. But it shouldn’t be Utah.

How the fuck was that NOT a chop block?!?

Reffing in CFB has gotten really bad. One theory I've heard is that a lot of good, experienced officials retired during the pandemic. No idea of that's accurate but it would make sense.

Big 12 probably gets two if BYU wins the CCG.

If Duke wins the ACC championship, two group of 5 teams might make the playoff as Duke is so far down at 7-5 that they won't be in the top 25

I pray Duke and BYU win so we can finally get the Big 12 and ACC to fuck off as conferences.

Gambling.  The obvious answer is obvious.

Experience done have shit to do with some of the outright blatant ref fuckery the last few seasons.

Yeah they should in that case. If BYU loses, again, they shouldn’t.

that’s the only way Texas was going to make it. If they dropped Miami(they won’t) for not even playing that crappy conference title and keeping BYU/Utah out.

Have there been any deaths yet on the 9-3 playoff thread, I am hesitant to venture there.

No most reasonable people knew it was a long shot when we lost to Florida and then Georgia.

No doubt all the gambling has also played a role, but it's likely a combination of factors.

When Tech destroys BYU for a second time, that should eliminate the Cougars from consideration. And if Tech doesn’t win conference with their shit schedule, they shouldn’t get in.

So I’m not much on connect the dots conspiracies but I’m curious what makes you think this and is there any corroboration. Not coming at you, others have said the same thing so I’m genuinely curious if there’s really something there.

What’s their RPI? How many Tier 1 wins?

we had one game in about 3 weeks(not counting OSU's demolition of Mich) go our way and it was the one that mattered the least.

Actually no. If Michigan won that gsmw they’d have not only stayed above us. But jumped into the top 10 blocking us.  Even if OU or Bama lost. It was the one thing that had to happen.

we needed other things too.

just a matter now if they put Texas above Vandy and Utah as they should.  Probably won’t get above Miami or BYU until BYU loses and it probably won’t be enough to secure their spot.

meh, they should still put Duke in ahead of fucking James Madison.  Plus Duke already lost to Virginia by 17 at home so it's not going to matter anyway.

Only possibly scenerio since 11/12 are for stupid ACC/G5 champs is if Bama loses and they drop them due to 3rd loss.

Could make a case that Texas with 3 losses has a better resume than them. And hope they don’t leave 2 loss Miami or BYU above them.

But that’s the only chance really.  They really gotta get rid of the auto bid

You think Tech would fall from a #4 seed to out of the playoffs if they lost to BYU in the title game, uh no.

They won’t. But they should.

who you okay and beat should matter like in college basketball.

if it’s strictly based on losses only then team will do what Indiana did and jettison anyone with a pulse from their schedule.
