Aggravated murder is the charge right? Showing indifference to others as there were people all around Charlie and he could have hit one of them and that the bullet passed thru him and missed people or something like that.

the Utah County DA gave a ton of information way more than my group was expecting to get. Damn.

The list of aggravating circumstances for capital murder is pretty expansive.  The DA's information alleged "the actor knowingly created a great risk of death to another individual other than the deceased individual and the actor" as grounds for elevating this to capital murder.

You're not dealing with someone with a full deck. The roommate is going to catch hell.

So just to humble brag on my true crime group once someone in any case has been cleared but we see social media or news organization still imply or go after an innocent person will smack them down and school them. We make it a point to make them make retractions. So if you see that shit we are usually trying to correct it. there are around 250 in my group and that’s small but we hit YT and TikTok and X and comment sections in articles demanding they fix that shit. We have gotten results and it’s unfortunate we even have to do this but it’s necessary.

off my speaking about my group no more of that. We will however correct people and do it all the time. And smack down assholes.

I feel just horribly and am praying for the shooter’s parents. I try to imagine this. Their son has become more and more distant and angry from them.

the mom sees a picture on the news of the shooter who she immediately realizes is her son, calls him and wants to know where he is. Wants to know what he’s been doing all day. He said sick in bed. She speaks immediately to her husband who agrees the picture is of their son.

the dad calls the son and says let me see the gun. Which was a family heirloom and the shooter’s grandfather’s and the dad had given it to his son for a bday present several years prior, the son refuses. The dad confronts him on the phone and the son said he would kill himself. Somehow the dad is able to convince the son to come to their house. He does and they invite a family friend over who is successful in getting him to confess.

impossible choice. What a heart wrenching and scary night they had particularly once they knew their son was the shooter and they were waiting for him to show up at their house,

bless them. I pray CK’s widow will be allowed input if she doesn’t want the DP sought. Her wishes should be considered. However at this stage it may be a bargaining chip to avoid trial all together so I see why it’s still on the table at this time. They can still use it to get cooperation.

Well, he's cooked regardless.  I mean, there is no way this goes unpunished with the death penalty.  The only real question is going to be, does the retribution stop at the murderer directly responsible for Charlie Kirk's death?

I’m hoping and praying that with a release of a ton of evidence today people will calm down a bit more. Information and having it is better than darkness. Not having it breeds a lot of fear and confusion and anxiety and misinformation which brings even more hatred. Fear leads to hate. And with the transparency they were able to show today in laying out the case the crux of it will be his texts to the roommate. They are beyond damning. And the roommate can testify to them. The shooter said how he did the crime and tried to disguise himself, what he used, where he put the weapon, how long he’d been planning it, that the old man was just a random arrest, said once he disposed of the weapon he’d have left no trace

but the best part was the two obstruction charges where he tells the roommate to delete all their correspondence and why. A treasure trove that we don’t normally get, the shooter gave up a lot of evidence, and the gun being an heirloom in the family 🤦🏼‍♀️ and his parents identification and his confession to them…damn. Nailed. People will calm down a bit. We can’t help r fix the ones who are determined to make this worse. He was caught. Quickly. Turned in. Is still alive. Left a massive electronic trail. And also out a bullseye on his discord group. And if they have involvement FAFO.

Part of the text exchange with the roommate:

Robinson, who allegedly said he had planned the shooting for "a bit over a week," appeared worried he wouldn't be able to retrieve the rifle, which was a gift from his family.

"I'm worried what my old man would do if I didn't bring back grandpas rifle," he allegedly wrote. "I worry about prints I had to leave it in a bush where I changed outfits."

"How the f--- will I explain losing it to my old man," he allegedly continued.

Totally cooked.

That text exchange is something else.  The increasingly shocked and horrified questions from the roommate, and the flippant and unconcerned responses from the killer.  Far more worried about getting a rifle back to his father than killing another person.  Chilling.

Yeah....that's a brain in self-defense mode.  You don't process -- you refuse to process -- the larger horror, because it's more than you can handle (even though you are the one who did it).  So, you fill the space with the mundane.

See the videos you can find online of cops interrogating a drunk driver who just killed someone/a family, even after the driver knows that is what happened.  They'll talk about stuff like "but I need to pick up my dog," or "okay, but my phone was in the car, I need to get my phone."  We're watching thinking "WTF?  You just killed someone, and you're worried about picking up your dog from the groomer?"  But that's what the human brain does.

The more we see and learn, the fucking sadder it is.  And the more it fits into an odd grouping that is all-too common: fucking lost souls.  Ending up in a way that they didn't need to end up.

I’m just a lame ass normie. I struggle and fail to be in the know about stuff these days. In my high school days we just had Goths. That was it. And Goth encompassed many people who probably would have formed their own or different group under LGBTQ instead of goth. And when the Columbine Shooting happened it was then a war on Goths. And the media just lumped in all of them. Not saying back in HS the Goths didn’t hate us normies or nerds or jocks bc they absolutely did…but it was like all of them got lumped into the shooting category. And it was sad and unfair to see that play out when I was in school.

But it was Amarillo High School. And there were Not a ton of options for us Sandies. (Mascot of my HS)

Utah said he is seeking the death penalty. On the assassin

Don't sell yourself short.  You're far from normal.

I read that as he was worried about retrieving the gun not just to get the evidence back but because it was such a big gift from his grandfather that it would be super suspicious if he couldnt show them it was in his possession. He still thought he was going to get away with it but then his Dad (and other family) wanted confirmation he had the gun.

It will be interesting to see how he planned it since the affidavit said he did so a week before. Did he do it completely on his own? Was he public about it on any of the forums he was on? Even if he did, did he do so with an anonymous username where no one knew his identity? If it's on Discord, I don't think that has any layer of putting your actual name or anything identifying on it. I'm going to lean towards he acted alone and no one knew outside of vague meme talk.

Seems they usually are.  And remember, for every one of these types who actually pulls something off....there are a shitload more that get caught beforehand, chicken out at the last minute, or just try and fail.  Because the Occam's Razor of this timeline is that when shit like this happens, it's never a complex, well-planned conspiracy ("it's a professional hit, by a well-trained team").  No.  It is pretty much always exactly what we have here, and have had going back to (and past) Oswald: a single fucking nutbar doing nutbar shit.

I wondered when I got the invite to the group if they only did it bc they think I’m the Rainey Ripper and want to observe me. Lol. The most well known person in our group is former FBI and is on tv all the time as a guest explaining cases (not that Nicole lady on Fox) and she and I struck up a friendship. She often praises my posts online. Maybe she is just observing me? I never thought about that. lol. Lawd, maybe this whole site is doing that given how many people engage with my posts….hmmm. Shit.

Exellent questions. Premeditation is important  to the case. We have a confession. A heirloom family fun used. DNA and camera evidence. Internet and text evidence.

I am as you are curious about who know what and when did they know it. In the discord. Cue boomers going crazy looking up what is “the discord”

we know the roommate romantic partner was not involved. The shooter had left a note saying that he found a way to kill CK and he was gonna take it. After the shooting then texts his roommate and asks her to look under keyboard for the note and then begins the damning text exchanges.

Can’t read everything being published right now,  but from what I did see- does it seem like Kirk was just a target of opportunity?  In that the guy has gotten to the “too much evil” point and then sees that Charlie just happens to be showing up nearby soon, so he’s the one.

Could have just as easily been someone else or nobody if Kirk wasn’t scheduled at UVU?

That is a good question that I’ve seen no one ask. Would he have even killed his folks if he had been able to go back and get the gun? Good question and I have no idea.

I seem to remember LE announcing they had found the weapon hours before they put out pics of the shooter. At that time the identity was unknown and people were talking about tracing dna off the gun and using genealogy. Then they put out the pictures. So they found the gun thru CCTV evidence? I’m guessing? When did they speak with the roommate? After he had been turned in or before? That part of it is confusing to me.

If this were a time before “cameras everywhere” he still doesn’t get away with it bc he told his roommate and couldn’t wait to share it. But the idea he felt he left no trace not wearing gloves with cameras everywhere illustrates how naive and quite frankly dumb he truly is.

What kind of charges would anyone in the Discord get if he simply announced he had a gun and was going to kill CK and they did nothing or even worse encouraged him? This is speculation on my part that he would have made a statement like this in that group. But if he had what would any of them be facing?

I did notice that he said “remember” like the roommate should be aware that he was engraving cartridges/bullets.  That’s a sign that the roommate ignored.

After a lot of information has been released in any murder case about the suspect it starts to hit me with a sadness. In my group we treat all the victims of true crime with the same respect whether they are a homeless person or a debutante or a CEO or an influential person. There is always a sadness and a moment of reflection and for healing. I wish it could be like that for this case. A healing moment now the answers are being found out and are being made known. If anyone else is involved I hope they are also charged.

Finding out the assassin is a such total dumbass that makes Lloyd Christmas look like Mensa by comparison is somehow even more upsetting. I get angry at these killers and these thieves of life. But it’s like this guy thought he was so fucking clever. Fucking dumber than dumb.

Jamie Lee Curtis is my gal. Final gal. Legend. Love her. Loved what she said about CK’s murder, she is my gal.

Here is the dumbass in court,

charges against him are currently being read live by Utah Fourth District Judge Tony Graf out loud. His eyes did kind of bug out just now when the Judge referenced many incriminating texts between he and his roommate.

judge was reading that Tyler James Robinson intentionally selected Charlie Kirk bc the of the killers perception or beliefs about CK’s expression of his beliefs. The judge said this concludes the charges and there was a nod from the suspect. Viable nod. Probably to concluding his reading of charges. The suspect does not have an attorney at this time. A rep for the state said they’d have one by the next hearing on 9/29/25. Suspect was absolutely still, emotionless and not blinking much thru out. His eyes did appear to bug out on mention of texts with his roommate and he nodded at end of proceeding, that’s it.

He is too stupid to be a martyr. It’s not sanctioning the evil he did if they don’t seek the DP. I get why it’s still on the table now. He doesn’t have a lawyer as of yet and they can still use it. But there won’t be any deals made I don’t believe. Only CK’s widow saying she doesn’t want it sought might change the punishment after he’s found guilty which I expect him to be.
