I’d stay after it.  “The Republicans can modify Senate rules” is a real winner of an argument.  No wonder yall keep getting fucking steam rolled.

Honest question: does your brain tell you that 53 is less than 47? Because if it doesn’t, you’re gonna have to provide more detail on why the Senate is an obstacle to passing GOP friendly legislation.

You understand it takes 60 to pass in the Senate?

Which is why the Vice President gets to break the tie when it’s 59-41?

Guys, cut incredulity some slack. He still is trying to work out if unlegislated taxes (tariffs) are happening or not, and if they have an impact on inflation. He can't be bothered to understand that you need a simple majority to pass something in the Senate, and that the VP is the tiebreaker

Lol. Look at the dude you are stanning. He reees. He pepes. He clearly is drenched in far right white nationalist propaganda. When that's pointed out you come for me? Are you also racist? Why are you defending an obvious racist?

https://www.house.gov/the-house-explained/the-legislative-process

"All Legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives."
(Article I, Section 1, of the United States Constitution)

How Are Laws Made?
Laws begin as ideas. First, a representative sponsors a bill. The bill is then assigned to a committee for study. If released by the committee, the bill is put on a calendar to be voted on, debated or amended. If the bill passes by simple majority (218 of 435), the bill moves to the Senate. In the Senate, the bill is assigned to another committee and, if released, debated and voted on. Again, a simple majority (51 of 100) passes the bill. Finally, a conference committee made of House and Senate members works out any differences between the House and Senate versions of the bill. The resulting bill returns to the House and Senate for final approval. The Government Publishing Office prints the revised bill in a process called enrolling. The President has 10 days to sign or veto the enrolled bill.

Just stunning the Democrats didn’t have 50 to protect women’s healthcare in 2023.  Real head scratcher

It must be absolutely freeing to be able to constantly post and not have to cite to any facts or source.  Probably why polls say that conservatives are happier.  Being freed from that - reality tether - has to be almost intoxicating.

And equally stunning that Republicans don't have enough votes to change the rules to pass super duper important legislation.

You also apparently don’t know whether you need to ask me if I am racist or whether I enjoy a brown water. Damn Hayden.  You know that you are clowning.

You’ve already displayed your abject ignorance.  Cite to a source that says you need 60 votes to pass a measure in the Senate or shut the fuck up for a week or two and give everyone a rest.

Were you here 2020-today?  Most of its still there.  Except what has been memory holed when posters celebrated the first assassination attempt on Trump and assassination of Kirk

Absolutely agree. You turning a new leaf or do you not realize what you are saying?  Don’t bother responding. I know the answer.

Both of them are/were racist women hating pieces of shit, and the world would be better if they were both dead.  I do not approve of political violence, but I admit I have expensive chilled bottles of champagne waiting to celebrate the orange dip shit’s death.  Why? Because I am not a racist, misogynist, grifting homophobic cult member.

The fact that you are stanning them both likely means you are one of their philosophical brethren.

I powered through because I know of at least one superfan who wasn't fortunate enough to do so, so I felt a special sense of duty

Why is it so damn hard for you to say that, technically, 51 votes are all that’s required to pass a Senate bill? That is a true statement.   Why do you refuse to talk about filibuster and cloture?   Is it because bills regarding the budget, taxation, spending, and raising the debt ceiling can be passed with a separate process called reconciliation which cannot be filibustered?

You simply refuse to discuss the rules or the process and hide behind Snark. Stop that please.

If Republicans really wanted to pass these CRs, they could change the rules and pass them. Unless, of course, they don't have the votes to change the rules.

Either way, responsibility for failing to pass legislation lands at the feet of the majority party.

Bullshit.  I’ve said repeatedly the disingenuous simple jack question bullshit was merely an advocacy for nuking the filibuster.

For the record I’m against nuking the filibuster.  I also agree the filibuster should be the old school talking filibuster, but that’s not happening.

Well then, we are in agreement on that point.
