It is if he's about to move down the depth chart.

By the time we got to the Playoff era, the Alamo was up there near the Citrus behind the Big 6.

the alamo bowl people do a great job. sa golf is a big part for the visiting fans

Even with portal additions, injuries will happen. Maybe the WR corch coming back was the issue and/or Sark saying that he will really have to work hard to break the rotation next year.

Or more $$$$$$s. I thought his production went down as the season wore on and he had some horrible drops lately.

That sucks. Good player with a lot of upside.

The problem right now is we are spending too much time targeting Wingo and the people around him are getting frustrated. Our receivers aren't bad, it's how we deploy them. Dudes with higher catch rates are walking. Not good.

You're worrying to worry. Let the transfer season play out. You shouldn't sweat losing Parker Livingstone.

Dude, Livingstone isn't entering the portal for lack of targets. That is ridiculous. This is something else.

even the NFL isn't like this. sounds like you have to go down your roster and have a one-on-one with each starter and know for certain what the decision is.

I don't think if you had polled Sark at the end of the A&M game, he would have been able to predict precisely who would be staying vs going

It might just be about money.

Are you sure about that?

He could very easily be 5th on the depth chart next year if Lockett and Ffrench live up to their advance billing.

That's different. The suggestion was that he was leaving because Wingo was eating up the targets during the year. Livingstone was featured plenty. He isn't leaving because we didn't give him opportunities in 2025.

Dude has almost half the targets of Wingo while delivering only 1 TD less and the highest average on the team by two yards. Maybe he sees himself as the better receiver and wants to go somewhere to be the feature. It's not everyday you see a 6'4 receiver who can run. I don't like it.

Right, but he could be leaving for fear of not getting opportunities next year, which would probably be a valid concern.

I would guess some other coach has been talking to him about PT and some NIL money. He was serviceable here, and if that earned him a bigger role somewhere else, then good for him and best of luck. We'll still win some games next year, too.

We aren't losing Jordan Shipley.

Maybe we target him less with more proven talent around him. Parker was Arch’s roommate, I guess it’s possible they still didn’t like each other, but I’d find that hard to believe. Wingo was the first read on most passing plays for better or worse. But Arch would seldomly come off of him to go elsewhere or he would stay on the read too long. He never seemed super confident in those other guys.

Livingstone will be a guy who portal multiple times. If you're leaving an Arch Manning led offense then you're an idiot who is only chasing money. He'll be Jontay Cook, portaling multiple times.

the early traditional bowl games for decades were Cotton, Rose, Sugar, Orange, Sun, Citrus, Gator. If you go to 1971 you can add Liberty, Fiesta, Peach. I would consider these the 10 historical bowl games(that still exist) with Cotton, Rose, Sugar, and Orange being the big 4. we've played in 9(no Liberty) , won in 8(0-1 in Gator).

Sun Bowl is interesting, being in El Paso it just got passed up but it is actually the 2nd oldest Bowl Game.

Why play at the Sun Bowl when Frisco ISD Stadium exists?

Ship caught 27 balls for 417 as a Sophomore. You never know. What I see is a kid who, while he has some drops, has good speed and has been the only dude winning 50/50 balls downfield for us.

Why Jordan Shipley?

Why are we not losing Quan Cosby or BJ Johnson?

Is it the deceptive speed?

This is how I see it. Upfront, it’s clearly a negative.

Maybe it works out that we move one of the 5* up and he balls out, but that’s hope.

Sark is targeting Wingo because he wants to keep him happy. Sark isn't a "best guy gets the ball" guy. As much as we liked Rojo, he shouldn't have been playing in front of Brooks. Wisner was superior to Baxter. Everyone can see Wingo struggling to play the position, yet we keep throwing him the ball and relying on him on money downs even though he fails more times than he succeeds. My issue is Sark's small rotation.

He wasn't asked to relinquish his scholarship. An honest discussion about the WR was had. This is his decision.

I doubt that. He’s being pushed out for an upgrade I’d say. Or someone is offering a crazy amount they didn’t want to match. It’s far from a Jontay Cook situation, which unless he gets a drug addiction and attitude problem real quick and commits somewhere then gets it taken away a couple days later, not the same.

You're a WR leaving a situation where you get passes from the possible 1/1 of 2027. That's a smart decision and you're not just cashing money? I hope he enjoys SMU or whatever ACC/Big 12 option he goes to.

From a productivity standpoint we just lost our most efficient receiver. As many yards as Moore with roughly 10 less catches and 2 more TDs. From a freshman.

Again, if he is leaving because of lack of playing time next year, it is almost certainly a good thing. He was a nice reliable target. But he isn't an elite talent or a game breaker. I get that you hate Wingo, but I think you greatly exaggerate his issues.

That it’s NIL related.

I don't know if Livingstone is being pushed out or just saw the handwriting on the wall and got ahead of what is about to go down in the portal.
