My screenshot; Red icons and the Red polygon in the middle are pre October strikes.  The Red icons within the Blue polygon were the Oct 6 strikes. The Blue polygon is from the FIRMS shot in the quoted post. It appears they hit everything on the easy side of the terminal, including the rail loading/unloading facilities.

I believe Ukraine has chosen not to target the 3 large tanks on the west side of the property, because they are large, and very close to civilian infrastructure adjacent to the terminal.

Should have called me. I put out a diesel fire, at fire school, in a 6'x6' pan ~ 6 " deep, with a dry powder extinguisher.

The protocol w/ oil & gas fires, cut off the fuel source, control the fire, and then assess. your options. Burning gas (vapor, natural gas, not gasoline) in a controlled environment is preferable to a large gas plume continuing to vent and grow, looking for an ignition source, that vaporizes everything within the plume. Most big gas fires, like the one next to Walmart in Pasadena, you isolate the fire and let it burn itself out.

Most liquid fires, try to put out the fire, and clean up the mess.

From the FIRMS data, it appears that most of the facility is burning, which probably includes the fire water system, is compromised and/or to hot to get access to.

"Satellite images confirm 11 fuel tanks destroyed at Crimean oil terminal after Ukrainian strikes
A key fuel supply hub for Russian forces in Crimea has lost 11 storage tanks to Ukrainian strikes this month, with several more tanks unlikely to be restored to operation.

by Maria Tril, 18/10/2025

Radio Liberty's Russian service has released satellite imagery documenting extensive damage to the oil depot in Feodosia, occupied Crimea, following Ukrainian strikes on the facility.

Ukraine's drone strikes focus on Russian military airbases, manufacturing facilities, oil refineries, and energy infrastructure. According to military analysts, these operations aim to disrupt Russia's fuel supplies and inflict economic pressure. Attacks on oil refineries have hit approximately 38-40% of Russia's refining capacity, damaging production of gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel, which has led to shortages and price increases within Russia.

The images show 11 fuel storage tanks completely destroyed as a result of Ukrainian attacks on the site, according to Radio Liberty. Several other damaged tanks are unlikely to be recoverable.

Ukrainian forces struck the Marine Oil Terminal facilities in Feodosia on 6 October. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine described it as "a multifunctional technological complex for transshipment of oil and petroleum products from railway tank cars to sea vessels and back, as well as to road transport, which is involved in supplying the occupying army of the Russian Federation."

The massive fire that erupted following the Ukrainian strike could not be extinguished for more than two days, Radio Liberty reports.

On 13 October, Ukrainian military forces struck the Feodosia oil depot again.

The result of two Ukrainian strikes on 7 October and 13 – 11 completely destroyed fuel tanks, several damaged and unlikely to be recoverable, according to the reports.

The first Ukrainian strike on the oil terminal in October 2024 destroyed or fatally damaged 14 tanks at the hub that supplied fuel and lubricants to the Russian army in occupied Crimea. A Pantsir air defense system installed at the refinery in 2022 failed to prevent any of the three Ukrainian attacks."

@PTINS don’t know if this a new thing but Ukraine apparently trying to finish off fuel depots and the like hence the second and third strikes.

Thanks for the post. We were both writing at the same time!

I went back this morning and looked at the recent Ukraine targets. Refineries, pump stations and oil terminals, ammunition plants and storage depots, power plants and electrical substations, critical manufacturing plants (some single source) in the supply chain.

The cumulative effect on the Russian supply chain, economy and the capacity to make war has to be staggering. Plotting these on a map, and it's like ...

Tomahawks cruise missiles would be a nice add, but Ukraine is fucking dunking on Russia every time they get the ball.

Part of me says keep it up and fucking kick their ass back to the 19th century. The sad reality is that Russia will attack schools, hospitals and apartment buildings until somebody makes them stop.

When this ends, the free world will be standing in line to help rebuild Ukraine, with nobody willing to walk across the street to piss on a Russian fire.

Maybe a massive shower of cruise missiles would do the trick.

Edit: The video does not show the physical altercation that followed - the Swiss man protecting his wife and two-year-old child from the Russian - but Ivan was arrested by Swiss police and the nation of Ukraine has demanded that the Swiss investigate this criminality, putting pressure on the prosecution.

Orenburg gas processing plant, the largest facility of its kind in the world, has been forced to suspend its intake of gas from Kazakhstan after a Ukrainian drone attack, Kazakhstan's energy ministry said on Sunday.

Orenburg regional governor Yevgeny Solntsev had said earlier on Sunday that the plant had been partially damaged and that the drone strike had caused a fire to break out at a workshop at the plant. The fire was later put out, Russian media outlet Kommersant reported, citing the operator.

The facility, operated by Gazprom, has an annual processing capacity of 45 billion cubic metres and handles gas condensate from both the Orenburg oil and gas field and Kazakhstan’s Karachaganak field.
Kazakhstan's energy ministry said Gazprom (GAZP.MM), opens new tab had notified it of the emergency but had yet to provide details on the extent of the damage or a timeline for resuming full operations

Has Russia just given up about “drone debris”causing these issues?

It's now a "fire at a workshop" and never "damaged a single-point-of-failure processing tower thing that the whole refinery relies on and if it goes out of commission the refinery is shut down".

Frustrated Ryan Gosling GIF

I can just imagine him if he saw Red Dawn back in 1984 - "I don't know why those kids didn't just surrender when Soviet, Cuban and Nicaraguan soldiers landed in Colorado. The war was clearly over."

The only good thing is he despises losing and there's no way Russia can sustain the current campaign against their O&G by the Ukrainians, and they damned sure can't cover it up, so he'll look like an idiot when Russians are standing in line for gas and can't heat their homes this winter. The flip side is we are apparently doing to Venezuela what Russia tried to do to Ukraine, and that's exactly the kind of thing Trump understands - hostile takeovers.

I would like to think Zelenskyy knew they wouldn't get Tomahawks (it's been obvious for a while) but wanted something lesser so by asking for something he can't get he gets something lesser, and Trump thinks he's snubbing him by giving him something lesser.  But it didn't sound like anything productive other than the US continuing to give up leadership of the free world.

As somebody pointed out, "We went from all of Ukraine to surrendering, to the four oblasts and Crimea to now just Donetsk lol"

Trump tells Ukraine: Accept Putin’s demands ‘or be destroyed’
US president, shouting and swearing, pressures Zelensky to surrender the Donetsk region

Memphis Barker

Donald Trump demanded that Ukraine submit to Vladimir Putin’s peace terms or face destruction in an angry meeting at the White House last week, it has emerged.
The US president, who spoke with his Russian counterpart shortly before hosting Volodymyr Zelensky, warned that Putin would “destroy” Ukraine unless a peace deal was in place.
Shouting and swearing, Mr Trump threw aside Ukrainian maps of the battlefield and pressured Mr Zelensky to surrender the Donetsk region to Russia.
Putin is demanding the withdrawal of Ukraine’s army from the crucial eastern territory as a precondition for peace.
However, the surrender of Donetsk is a red line for Ukraine, which has long refused to cede the territory, which Russia has failed to capture despite fighting since 2014.
Kyiv still holds about a quarter of Donetsk province. The land makes up part of the so-called “fortress belt”, a string of heavily defended towns that blocks Russia from making rapid westward advances towards the capital.
In the White House meeting, Mr Trump echoed Putin’s talking points, despite them contradicting his own recent assessment that Moscow was a “paper tiger”, European officials briefed on the meeting told the Financial Times.

The US president told Mr Zelensky he was losing the war and said: “If [Putin] wants, he will destroy you.”
Mr Trump is keen to secure another peace deal following the success of his intervention in the war between Israel and Hamas.
In recent months, he has swung between Russian and Ukrainian positions, often cooling on sanctions or further military pressure on Moscow after phone calls with Putin.
At the White House, Mr Zelensky held his ground and refused to cut a deal that would leave Ukraine badly exposed. But the Ukrainian president left in a bitter mood, dashed in his hopes that Mr Trump would authorise deliveries of long-range Tomahawk missiles.
On Saturday, Friedrich Merz, the German chancellor, said the visit “had not gone as Zelensky hoped”.

On Sunday, Mr Zelensky told NBC News that “I don’t know the dialogue between President [Trump] and Putin,” adding only that he believed Tomahawks could pressurise Moscow into serious peace negotiations.
Asked whether Mr Trump needed to get tougher on Putin, following his decision to turn the screws on Israel and Hamas, Mr Zelensky said: “Yes… because Putin is something similar but more strong than Hamas. It’s more bigger war and he is the second [largest] army in the world.”
He denied that Russia was winning the war and said that Putin was after more than just a further tranche of territory, in remarks that appeared to reflect his discussion with Mr Trump.
‘This is not about territory for Putin’
Russia’s “army now [is] in a weak position,” he said, having lost 1.3 million men to capture just 1 per cent of Ukrainian land since near the start of the war.
“And really I don’t understand why the leader of the country which has the biggest territory in the world needs some more kilometres – that’s why I think that this war is not about the land and not about territory for him. It’s about our sovereignty and about our independence.”
Mr Trump is set to meet Putin in Budapest within the next fortnight in an attempt to make progress on a peace deal.
During their phone call, Putin told Mr Trump he was willing to cede small parts of the southern Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions under Russia’s control in exchange for the rest of the Donbas. Moscow has struggled to control the territory and made almost no progress on the southern frontline since 2022.
A European diplomat told the Washington Post that Ukraine would never accept such a deal. “It’s like selling them [Russia] their own leg in exchange for nothing,” they said.
On Sunday, Mr Zelensky said he told Mr Trump he was ready and willing to attend the Budapest summit, but cast doubt on whether Putin was seriously prepared to make peace.

I gotta say, Hap Arnold, Carl Spaatz and Curtis LeMay must be looking down and smiling upon Ukraine's strategic bombing campaign.  Every morning I wake up and wonder which link the Russian supply chain will be on fire today.

One or two might be looking up, but yeah.

Meanwhile, Orenburg appears to have another fire

Local residents report a new fire at the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant. Eyewitnesses are posting videos of smoke, but regional emergency officials insist there’s “no fire.” Sure — the atmosphere just got a little overheated. A day earlier, the facility was already attacked by drones: according to Governor Yevgeny Solntsev, part of the infrastructure was damaged and one of the workshops caught fire.

Real leadership

Lithuanian Foreign Minister: “The only European city where Putin should end up is The Hague” Kęstutis Budrys said this before the start of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Luxembourg. Budrys also stressed that he does not consider it possible for Putin’s plane to fly through Lithuanian airspace and advised the dictator to look for alternatives.

It is the only road of this class that directly connects Poland with Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania Via Baltica plays a crucial role in the region’s security, defense, and economic development.

It's semantics of course.  Urging Ukraine to "freeze hostilities along the current front" necessitates giving up the areas that Russia has invaded.  It's effectively the same as suggesting Ukraine give up Donbas.
