2019 MLB thread

Ok need someone who knows how to find career leaders in non normal stats to help me out.

McTaggart tweeted this yesterday:

Career hits on 3-0 counts:

Alex Bregman: 1

Craig Biggio: 1

While I know 3-0 doesn't happen often and then most will take (especially lead off hitters) it just seems crazy to me that Biggio only had 1 hit on that count out of 3060 hits.

Anyway got me wondering who has the most career hits on a 3-0 count. Can someone find a list of like top 5 or something? Curious to who it is and how many.

Found a new leader...Manny Ramirez with 18

Edit...Griffey 29

Double Edit: Big Hurt 39

At some point in hopefully near future, I'll be able to see "Big Hurt" without thinking about the Nugenics commercial with the huge cuckold guy.

Certainly Latin players have a reputation of being level headed, gentlemanly sportsmen.
I try to stay away from the bash Derka threads as I feel that you sometimes get bullied. But gotdam, sometimes you deserve it. You fucking fat moron.

yeah, i was really asking for it here...??

i honestly have no clue what you're even upset about, but you're doing a great job of proving how incendiary and unhinged i am.

oh, and since you somehow couldn't decipher what i was saying:

Latin guys wear chains and swag their jerseys out and pimp their homers.

Everyone else in the league takes offense to it.

really belligerent stuff, i know.

Weird deal, Roberts sits Muncy against a righty even though he’s 4-6, 2 R, 3B, HR, 4 RBI, 2 BB in last 2. Then he uses him to PH in the fucking 4th with a 4-run lead & burns Freese.

Why not just start Muncy like always against a righty? Dumb.

0-44 now, we could see history soon.

With a righty starting for Oakland, today could be the day.  46 is the record.

His last hit was on Sept 14, 2018.  That hit ended an 0 for 17 streak, so he's now at 1 for his last 62.  I wonder what the longest 1-for record is.

September 2-3, 2018 he had back to back 2 hit games, from September 1-5 he had a 4 game hitting streak, and from August 27 - September 5, he had hits in 7 out of 8 games.

Cody kinda fucking pissed on that one.

His is absolutely unconscious.  The talk out here is whether to buy out his (and Seager's) arbitration years with long term deals like the Braves gave Acuna.  We have a lot of dough coming off the books after this season.  I think we should.

Won't be easy with Boras as his agent, and this came out today from him.

Check out Eugenio Velez, the dude he’s chasing. Finished ‘10 0-9, then went completely fucking hitless the next season to establish the record. Shockingly, never saw another MLB AB.

Wow. He didn't K all that much either.  Some serious BABIP going on.

Crazy bot 2 at Wrigley. First two guys retired easily, then all kinds of shit happened...

Throwing E by Pitt SS on a fucking routine play
IBB to Heyward to face Lester, who promptly doubles
Single past the diving SS
Bryant hit in the elbow
Rizzo fucking DRILLS Taillon right on top of his head, stays in
Javy literally throws his bat at a horrendous pitch in the LH batter’s box, bloops one over the SS
Schwarber grounds to poor SS, who kicks it, then throws it away
Contreras finally Ks to end it

6 runs, 3 Es by one guy, a P almost dies, all after 2 quick outs.
