  1. Past hour
  2. Any thoughts on the suggestion that Vettel could replace Marko at Red Bull?
  3. yea, more like the peanuts in my turds.
  4. I actually dig that choice of mascot a lot. One of the better new franchise names in awhile.
  5. No. Think of it more like a timeshare.
  6. If she isn't a bot as suggested upstream then she is absolutely batshit crazy. Imagine your husband losing their job because of this administration and then posting 1000 MAGA positive afterwards.
  7. We just watched it last night and both enjoyed it. Yes, there are parts that seem as if they are trying to curate the story behind putting Kimi in Lewis' car, some of the behind the scene stuff might not be new, but it is enjoyable. I am not sure Kimi could be paired with a better engineer than Bono when you consider the temperament and the experience of working with two pretty decent drivers in his past work history. One scene that really reinforced just how young Kimi is during a family dinner and his sister says all her friends want Kimi's autograph. The shot of his sister really struck me because she looks like she would be in junior high (which is very possible) and then they cut to a shot where Kimi and the sister are running around outside like two little kids just having fun.
  8. Sark would have been back on the sauce in six months, tops, if he'd been hired by aggy.
  9. These dudes lured in migrants under false pretenses, kidnapped them, bussed them up the coast, and dropped them somewhere that they were completely unfamiliar with. Then openly bragged about it. Let's not pretend a little fraud and embezzlement is going to have any object permanence here.
  10. Same. I don't think the message boards were particularly happy about it.
  11. You know, putting the abject cruelty and stupidity of this aside, the logic of it is what kills me. No one coming to the US says to themselves, "Hey, I might wind up in Libya because of this." People willing to cross the Durian Gap or any of a series of hazards to get to the US are only thinking "Anything is better than where I am, and America is top on the list." Once again, those are the people we WANT here. They're going to succeed, even if their measure for success is just getting here and becoming a productive citizen. And here's the rub - so long as the US is the greatest economic engine in the world, that will continue to be true no matter how cruel these Nazis are to the immigrants they can catch. What they're really doing, is making sure that we are no longer the kind of economic engine that people aspire to emigrate to. Which is the greatest idiocy of all. Anyhoo, morning rant over. Back to my coffee while I can still afford it.
  12. So, states 52 and 53? After Canada of course.
  13. And we could do much worse in that position. Unless of course you are really into making up intelligence to justify your bombing campaigns. In that case she may be a problem. Enjoy your echo chambers of lunatics.
  14. It is on. Was hoping they would say fuck it and come in like this.
  15. That's not Hanania's podcast. People left of the far-right have to use their fucking brains about this shit. There's some nuance for who someone should engage with, depending on their platform, the topics at hand, and your ability to speak to them and their audience. If you are Pete Buttigieg or Bernie Sanders, you can go on Joe Rogan. But if you're fucking Dr. Sanjay Gupta trying to promote vaccines, not prepared for a hostile debate and thinking you're going to get an honest interview, stay the fuck home. But there's one hard-and-fast-rule and that's this: Don't debate nazis. Don't do public appearances with nazis. In fact, just don't talk to nazis. Richard Hanania is a nazi, no matter that he pretends otherwise now. He's never actually disavowed anything he used to say or believe, he just thinks it's more beneficial for him personally and his cause if the nazi shit seems more intelligent and sophisticated. That is his project. When you speak with him to talk politics and sell your political book, you're legitimating him as an acceptable public intellectual figure. You're legitimating his ideas as acceptable public ideas. You're aiding his project.
  16. My wife made the comment it felt like they had a bingo card of characters and situations and the writers were trying to play black out. We never really could connect with the characters.
  17. I'm still honestly surprised we went and got Sark
  18. If you all put his pedantic, moronic ass on ignore, HE WILL GO AWAY! He's Dunning Kruger exemplified. He's hopeless. Just give up on him.
  19. Lots of trash talking in this thread.
  20. Pretty much. My son is easy. The wife/daughter had a magnitude of shit that I've been whittling down over the years. Hair dryer, curling irons, bag and bags of makeup. And endless stream of fucking shoes. We did get a smaller, more expensive hair dryer that they share. They can buy or share makeup....that was a concession so they get to shop when they get there. And if course hotels with the ability to do laundry is a must. We don't ski much anymore, but that was the absolute worst. At least we rented equipment, but fuck me it was a beating. Why do I need a dozen different outfits to sit and drink at the lodge!
  21. Most people I interact with these days, outside present company of course, do not suffer from delusional disorders and are capable of holding attention span. But I do like how y'all get spun up about myfitnesspal app passwords.
  22. That's like 400 pounds of trash per conversation.
  23. Lengthy article, Vic has comments on the new additions. (excerpt) https://eu.statesman.com/story/sports/college/longhorns/womens-basketball/2025/05/07/texas-womens-basketball-vic-schaefer-longhorns-roster-transfer-portal/83437930007/
