Because it's a dumb exercise to begin with if it's epidemiologists researching it. Do you need epidemiologists to document the number of "straight" cases we have every year and what can be done to treat them?
  3. don't know about Texas but at least one of Colorado's firefighter training programs was completely gutted, local news had the story a couple weeks ago.
  4. Imagine Kamala giving that talk. Come on guys lighten up.
  5. Honda has been offering the DCT since 2010 or so on a few models. I wish other manufacturers would do likewise. It would open up riding to many more people, which is a good thing for all of us. Triumph kicked ass in 2024 by offering up small displacement bikes and making things easier and more affordable for new riders. I hope they realize they can double down on that success by coming up with an automatic platform of their own. BMW has its ASA options on bikes such as their new 1300 GS, and Yamaha is coming out with its Y-AMT system this year. Harley decided to ride the nostalgia train almost into the ground, but who knows? With what's going on now with their CEO getting the boot and their sales in the toilet, they may decide to finally start offering bikes other than oversized and overpriced machines with dated tech. Their demographic is aging out of riding by the second, and they forgot to build interest among the younger generations. My wife has a 300cc Vespa GTS that she loves riding, and though it can go 90 on the highway if need be and easily keep up with my 1200cc Bonnie, she wants something that won't get blown around so much at higher speeds, especially when the wind is blowing. Using a clutch has held her back from trying a lot of bikes, but I'm going to get her on a few of the Honda DCT models to see if one will work for her. I suspect the Rebel 1100 will win out, given the lower seat height, but I'm secretly hoping she goes for the Africa Twin so I can ride it some too. Of course lots of bikes come with quick shifters and auto blippers these days, but that's not quite the same for someone who is either afraid of a clutch or can't use one due to physical limitations.
  6. What's insane is the fact that you get offended when people don't agree with your degree of criticism. You paint those people as "Quinn could do no wrong" supporters, when that's not at all true, at least in the vast majority of cases. I think most here acknowledge his flaws. Furthermore, when people point out other failings of other Longhorns you push back as if those failures didn't happen or you assert how they're a natural consequence of Quinn's play. This is not personal, it's a question of the lopsidedness of your arguments, along with those of a few others.
  7. Mine is in a federal prison. So she is probably hitting from other side of plate now.
  8. Wait a second, cuts to early childhood education were not supposed to affect kids named “Tanner.” There must have been some error.
  9. Do you really want to be that disappointed in humanity?
  10. Arteta: “It’s not fair that Liverpool won the league with 82 points, because we finished second with 84 and 89 points the past two seasons.” Scousers who remember 2018-19 and 2021-22: “You don’t want to play this game, Lego man.”
  11. Her thread is that way —->
  12. Fuck em. We’ll be back.
  13. Tough dude and from the outside what looked like the ultimate team player.
  14. I'm still plenty nervous. Jets were my pre-playoff cup pick based on regular season. Not just how much they outplayed us in the series but Tiffin had a couple of regular season articles breaking down their top power play, etc. that highlighted how impressive they were. But then of course, they get to the playoffs and completely lay an egg on the road and weren't really even competitive. Granted, that was a Blues team that didn't lose at home in their last 15 games or something but still. I think all together I favor stars slightly and I certainly felt the inverse before the Colorado series. I'm pretty sure I posted here I actually felt better about the Colorado series after losing game 1 as I saw enough there that we flipped the switch from last few weeks of regular season, but I still kind of expected Colorado to pull that series out right up until Miko scored to tie it up and then i knew we were winning. This is going to be a completely different series though. They don't have the star power but good all around team with suffocating defensive structure and elite goaltending (if he's on). They beat us last game playing conservative, shutting us down and then pouncing on mistakes. If Morrissey is out hopefully that is something we can exploit. Would be huge to get game 1 tonight. I'm leaning slightly towards the Stars but fully expect some swings this series. Our top line is going to need to continue to score but would be great if they got a bit more support starting tonight.
  15. Feel like this is just general coach speak at this point to try and garner a better whistle. All of these guys say the same stuff.
  16. Yea how? I need to see some legal eagles to provide a technical analysis of the case to explain how this happened.
  17. A boring recruiting season is a really good thing.
  18. If the Sooners win enough games to save Venables for another year then they won the portal. That was a 4 win team beforehand
  19. This is awesome, from the SoonerScoop mailbag this week: I get it- their portal QB and RB have produced. Yes, DT is a worry for Texas. But, it is clear they have not paid attention to Colin Simmons, even after he ran down Hawkins in the RRS last year. Also, the four position groups he has rated better than Texas are the four that they probably have the most NIL committed to. Got to keep the fans interested.

None of that has anything to do with evidence based medicine. Maybe feels-based medicine is what yall are looking for. In which case you are no different from the ivermectin and HCQ covid lunatics.
  21. I didn't think of it before I saw this, but I wonder how much A&M's fire school has been affected by the cuts. They usually have fire fighters from all over the world going there for training, and a lot of FEMA disaster training. I need to get in touch with some folks I know who might have some insight into that.
  22. who here has a vendetta against QE? who here has said they are rooting against him? where are you getting this from? people are literally just talking about his performance and limitations as a qb, yet so many of you make it out to be like people are wishing death upon the guy. you bombasticize the most objective and factual criticisms of him and then you get yourself all huffy and puffy over your own made up, totally skewed version of events. that’s what’s insane.
  23. Didn't realize I could still be shocked these days
