Government Shutdown 2025: This Time It’s Personal
Hermanator replied to Bozo_Casanova's topic in Cloak Room
The common man will always be fucked by his government because of two reasons. 1) properly executed government is boring. It's tedious. Legislating for 330 million people in the face of billionaire corporations and every other special interest is extremely complex when done correctly. It's far too complicated for the common man to tangentially grasp on the most rudimentary level. Much less understand it. 2) Any time politics gets dumbed down to the level the common man understands it's always populist bullshit. Simple black and white tropes. Blame "the others" for your problems. We will save you if you give us power. Basic slogans. -
Boldin Retirement Software Thoughts

I run a couple dozen financial plans a year on MoneyGuide Pro for clients, prospects, and non prospects (pro-bono). Been using that software exclusively for 15 years so can’t speak about others besides some colleagues preferring E-money. I appreciate the order of operations concerns you are referencing above but in my experience that isn’t going to make much of a difference. You either have saved a big enough pot of money and can live off of that (outside a sequence of returns 2008 wipeout scenario) or you under saved and are counting every penny. -
So, guys who've served. Shaving in a combatish situation seems like a painful waste of time. I think of seeing guys in winter conditions shaving with no doubt cold water out of a helmet, and it just makes my face hurt. Is it anything like McRaven's make your bed everyday? Because I think that's real. And about half my GI Joes had beards, along with their life like hair.

I really wanted to like it, since GameDay defenestrated themselves. But "poaching" the obviously unqualified and idiotic "The Bear" from Gameday was all I needed to know. There is a market for intelligent discussion about truly great collegiate football competitions. But presently nobody can do that, they just want to take off their shirts and do stupid stunts and fake eat terrible cold food and they refuse to fire Desmond.

Was coming from the west, waited in traffic about 10-15 mins to get up the pass. Lot of cars but easy parking. Once you got a couple of hundred feet down the trail it cleared out quick and made for a nice hike with the kids. -

Nope. Engage them and call them what they are. They are un-American and cucks to a fat, child raping dictator. Call balls and strikes. Keep doing it until they bow up or wilt and continue to fight for your country. They stand on the shakiest of ground. They will live a life of shame if we continue to fight for the very constitution they disavow. This is a turning point between reality and falsehoods. The rubber will hit the road at some point. Stand fast. -

Just did a bit of a deep dive into the forecast for Saturday afternoon in Gainesville. Thunderstorms are definitely a concern, but they should be somewhat scattered and moving through. So while there's a chance for a lightning delay, I doubt it would last hours. And although it may rain some during the game, it is very unlikely to be raining for a majority of the game. Things may start to clear out some toward evening. Regarding winds, the overall setup between two pressure systems favors strong winds. But some of the latest high resolution models are indicating more modest winds of 10-15 mph. So who knows. In summary, fuck ou. -
