F1 with the Dolby audio was epic. I don’t know where you guys are going with all the audience interruptions. People on their phones can happen and I’ve experienced some talking (especially during horror movies) but it’s been pretty rare. My theater of choice is AMC Clear Fork in Fort Worth which might be part of it. Newer theaters are so loud - it would be hard to hear someone talking. Not to mention there is a decent amount of spaces between the rows. The theater experience for me and my family has always been something we love. I’ll pay the costs - keep the doors open. Bring back the boutique theater experience as well.

Great band name.

Sure, they could, but what would that accomplish? The system is set up for duopoly in every way. All it does is aid the opposition. I'd love more than 2 parties but it just isn't realistic right now.

If someone showed me that clip without names or numbers, I wouldn't have guessed Sharma was the freshman. -
I really like Clark's. I go there probably once a month with Mrs.LL. They don't reserve spots on the bar on the patio. So you can just show up and get a seat on a Friday afternoon, order a martini, watch the people along West 6th, and slurp down some damned good oysters (and a very good lobster roll).

Desperate times. Desperate measures. It's amazing what any of us will believe when we find our options limited and someone offers us hope. Even false hope. OU can see their relevance disappearing for lack of resources. They had to have hope a true salary cap was going to be instituted with the House settlement or other legislation/court orders. And then their approach would win out (I'm not saying it would - I'm saying that's the core belief). They still have amazing facilities, a decent athletic department revenue stream. They're not completely down for the count. They have a state population that's likely to subsidize the payroll with a tax of some sort, if that's permitted whether by permission or forgiveness. Same as LSU's fan base. I believe a diffusion of responsibilities is a great way to protect the incompetent. Who is responsible for the decline of OU football? Not me! I have answers, son! Diffusion of responsibilities in an organization rewards the people most gifted at finding scapegoats. I feel like Nagy has positioned himself where he won't be blamed for OU's decline for years. I'll also say that KSU did come close to competing for a national championship with Michael Bishop at quarterback. Probably should have. But that was a different era when Snyder exploited KSU's open enrollment and the junior college system in place at the time to help bring in players who had difficulties meeting the NCAA minimum entry. But that was 30 years ago and that dynamic hasn't existed since. Also, TCU competed for a national championship. But that was a one off. More the exception that proves the rule. Nagy can poo poo the recruiting services all he wants, but the truth is it's harder to find a diamond in the rough than it ever has been. There are too many paths to exposure. I truly feel like it starts with having the right head coach. The right head coach wouldn't have had an end around pulled on him like this. Nagy having the power he does is as much a sign of Venables being the wrong guy as much as his horrific offense and his win/loss record. Could you imagine this happening to Bob Stoops?

Maybe @NowThis will find his way back? -
Term limits Max age limits Citizens United Tossed All investment activity frozen upon assumption of office Ranked choice voting Political service should look something like going to work in the soup kitchen Do all of that and both parties probably start looking a lot better Would all have to change at the point of a gun at this point though so it’s the dismal tide

I stumbled across this after some random video on Twitter and was like who makes this shit? Or thinks it’s funny? Look to see what account posted it and JFC, we have assholes running the country.

Zero chance of them NOT ingesting the F-juice? But since you got me thinking - how about Ukrainian agents also delivering bunches of humanitarian water purification systems - that have hidden embedded GPS locators - so the drones and artillery have a better idea where to make it go boom?

Slotkin got destroyed by Krystal Ball over Israel. Fucking Cortez Masto is why we have Emil Goddamned Bove with a lifetime judicial job

jfc. this is so bad. wow.

Yeah they sounded eleventy bazillion times better not too long ago. They sound like vacuum cleaners now compared to even just 2012. Those of y'all complaining about the cars not sounding loud enough ... sadly that's just how they sound now. That engine formula change in 2013 was probably the biggest mistake F1 ever made, on multiple levels.

If he doesn’t have one currently, he should confer with an experienced elder law / estate planning attorney NEXT WEEK and discuss power of attorney, health care directive, will or trust and disposition of his remains. Not fun to contemplate but if not done, nothing good will happen. There is no “end of life good fairy.”

Got in last night going to see Astros tomorrow night. Hitting the usual spots today and thinking about a Fenway tour in the morning. I’ve been to Fenway but my 12 yr old has not. I have never done or really considered any kind of stadium tour. Has anyone done a Fenway tour? If so how was it?

Why the hell would you put the fentanyl IN the watka? Drop care packages of needles, fentanyl and vodka. Throw in some Ritz crackers and ball point pens for giggles.

i was 5, we were living close enough to get inches of ash. I couldn't be convinced that it wasn't snow and my parents basically had to tie me to the couch. I remember seeing the big whitish grey explosion cloud in the distance(didn't impress 5 year old me all that much) then the sky going grey for days and all the associated clean up/freak out/vehicles, heatpumps, gutters, roofs damaged. Towards the end of the clean up the fire department came and washed the ash into the storm sewers(probably wouldn't do that today). Somewhere in the family collectables are mason jars filled with ash. as you describe, very fine and powdery.

I love seeing movies in the theater, but people fucking talking out loud or looking at their fucking phones during the movie are just a beating. They can eabod and diaf. Seriously. The prices suck, but if they got rid of the inconsiderate assholes, I'd pay even more. Last movie I saw with an intermission iirc was Reds, when I was in high school in like 1980. It was brutal. /csb

It’s August and the kudzu, morning glories, thistles and commentator diarrhea is clogging up tv sports. Like someone posted, just run some decent games from the past, with radio synced for either team. We be starving for college football.
