It’s interesting that all 4 p4 conferences are working on this together. Don’t like it, go to g6

I went ahead and rolled into R1 right after finishing the final episode. It was really amazing to me how seamless everything continued. I was just going to watch the beginning, but it was so much more enjoyable after watching Andor that I went through the whole thing. I wanted to roll right into ANH, but it was already after 2:00 am. I fully agree with whoever it was that posted that the Andor season should be the official Star Wars prequels now. I never even watched those things and I hate them

I'd be extremely surprised if Marion turned out to be a successful head coach. Time will tell. -
Well, I do, of course. Marist is in Poughkipsie, NY. Rik "The Dunking Dutchman" Smits played there.

I’ll be interested to see if they can get a few extra ticks on the fastball for Volantis once he spends a full offseason in the weight room. His long term future is as a starter but damn having that kind of arm in the bullpen is such a weapon, especially in the college game where leads are rarely safe. -

They can't cap anything, they can deny deals individually. If they capped a certain players earnings that would get them sued by the player not the institution. Players don't sign mandatory arbitration. This isn't some boogeyman to keep players from getting paid. It's to prevent fucking crazy 100k for a tweet cuz you run the ball real good and have 10k followers.

Yep. Meant as a comment on the idiocy of Andy Staples.

NCAA match play finals is one of the most underappreciated events in all of sports. men's and women's. it gets so tense. good lord, Stanford is so fucking loaded. but Stanford/Florida State in the semis could be great (assuming they both win). Lottie Woad and Ting will give Stanford trouble. come on Horns. i'd love to win this national championship.

Three things: 1. Didn't we lose a pretty good football player once upon a time to a pickup basketball game? Can't remember who or when... 2. Thanks for the videos. That fucking offense was purring under Manning. He spread the ball around. He didn't fuck around in the pocket, and the Sark offense came alive. He helped showcase all the talent around him 3. Maybe this might be a good thread to vent a little on Ewers...

I could have sworn there was a Season 6 thread. But yes, after the first two seasons, this show has given me nothing but TV-blue balls. Not since the last seasons of Walking Dead have I hated something I keep watching this much.

The concern would be DeLoitte instituting a de facto salary cap, while the good ole boys go back to dropping bags under the table. There is an alternative, if things work out that way. Like minded schools, that don’t need a salary cap (Texas, yes, TAMU, tOSU, ND, Michigan, maybe UGA, certainly Oregon, maybe Florida, Miami) could form their own league. The only league without a salary cap will, in short order, be a premier league. (And the ratings for this league will be amazing).

But if you must lie, lie in the hooves of the one you love. If you must cheat, cheat respect. And if you must steal, steal from us with TexAgs.

For those that don't frequent the cancer thread, I was diagnosed in March. Drank my face off after finding out, but had no problem quitting when it was time to get clean for testing and chemo. It's like a switch went off that said nope. Not anymore. I tried a beer after the first cycle and nearly gagged. So I guess that's it. Good thing because the PET scan reported a fatty liver. Only side effect is an insatiable craving for sugar. Oh and my bank account is fat. Completely redecorated my place with all the loot I haven't been spending at bars and on blow. Keep fighting the good fight yall. Guess I'm a normal and didn't know it.

This is rather massive, our biggest weakness all season was 1s. Will be interesting to see who she pairs with if we don't grab anyone else.

“I wanna hear her last words. For me. “ that line hit. but also. Why not radio in?

Resistance tidbit. Went to the Rangers-Astros game Friday night. Was surprised to see that my bunch was not the only group who declined the invitation to stand and sing God Bless America at the bottom of the 6th.

https://www.wsj.com/sports/baseball/what-is-a-swing-ea55e1ad?st=7REpma&reflink=article_copyURL_share Baseball Seeks an Answer to a 150-Year-Old Question: What Is a Swing? In a bid to settle the unending argument over when exactly a batter has swung at a pitch, MLB is launching a replay program in the minor leagues to adjudicate on checked swings Now baseball is trying to settle the debate once and for all. On Tuesday, MLB will launch a pilot program in the minor leagues of a replay system for check swings, the term used to describe when a hitter begins to swing but then stops partway through. The test, which will take place in the Single-A Florida State League, is an effort to inject a degree of objectivity into the murkiest calls umpires have to make. The new rule will work similarly to the automated strike zone that was auditioned during spring training this year and uses the same technology. Teams will have the ability to ask a computer to determine whether a hitter swung or not. If the head of the bat is ahead of the knob on the end by more than 45 degrees, the pitch will be deemed a strike.

I'm talking about the dearth of prosecutions from the Obama DOJ.
