I guess auto-correcting away from "wife beater" to "white heater" is a good thing? -
It seems some here are extremely hesitant to assign any blame in this situation. Let’s try a different word. That word is RESPONSIBILITY. If you’re a camp leader you are responsible for the children in your care. If you are a county official you are responsible for making sure the county is safe for residents and visitors. If you’re a state official you are responsible for making sure the counties are properly prepared for disaster. There were failures at all levels, but nobody is taking any responsibility. And some here are refusing to assign any responsibility. Leaders are supposed to be responsible.

This is excellent validation for our first DFW-STS flight in two weeks. Thanks!

we were disfunctional but not a cesspool. That was full on pussy herbstreit. that said does anyone really care that much about these pre game shows anymore? It's on in the background in my house until there is an actual game on. Portnoy is good for them because these shows are built for clips to go viral and to have maybe the last 10 minutes hold the viewer for the following game. -

I admittedly only really encounter McAfee during Gameday or some other thing leading into a live sporting event, so maybe that's why he doesn't freak me out the way apparently many people are with him on this board. Portnoy? I run into him on Twitter, or his stupid cronies, way more than my reading habits say I should. I see his fucking face in articles in my Apple feed as well. I have tried to mute and/or ignore that bigmouthed clown as much as possible. If it wasn't for low class, he wouldn't have any class at all. Fuck that show. I'm no longer in the young crowd and I am not a lowest common denominator viewer or buyer. I view the guy as an addition to Gameday and entertaining. I never watched wrestling and I don't watch his show. I know for a fact, however, that I am not a user group of one. Do you know how I know that? Gameday ratings jumped by adding that guy. There's a reason they keep upping the ante to keep him around on there, as well. He's "widening the tent" when it comes CFB interest and viewership. Grumble all you want, but he's doing more good than harm when it comes to CFB. Quality safeties can be found in the portal every year, unlike DTs and LBs, at least in volume. I'm interested in seeing whether they want to battle on this one or feel content to pursue other options that open up in their senior cycle and/or the portal. -

Yep, it's been said before but, once you realize that America is chock full of pro wrestling fans (sub in reality shows for those that don't actually watch wrestling), it all makes perfect god-damned sense. The storylines don't have to make any sense. In fact, the crazier they are the better. They crave the drama. If Trump decides tomorrow that JD Vance is a heel, he'll be dropped like a sack of potatoes and reviled instantly. Everything Trump does, as the perpetual face, is virtuous and just. He's Stone Could Steve Austin sticking up his middle fingers to the establishment. His enemies are detestable cheaters. The shittiest part is that they realize the absurdity of it all and just don't care.

one of the more amusing things about this circus is the delusion the maga dipshits betray when they all claim they want bondi's head on a pike and to replace her with someone that will release the epstein names...as if bondi is not doing trump's bidding by refusing the release the information in order to clearly protect a guy that was known to have a very close relationship with epstein for decades, is a known piece of shit adulterer who has been found civilly liable for rape and who was convicted of 34 felonies stemming from paying off a porn star that he fucked. they genuinely don't understand that replacing bondi would not change the outcome because she's not making that call. they truly are that delusional and cannot see the plainest of plain realities slapping them in the face. it's so naked and obvious...and yet, here we are.

2 of Witt, Garcia or India had to be out of the lineup before Devanney was going to get a chance, so he never got a chance at the MLB level. He wasn't likely to be a long term piece anyway. But Adam Frazier? Again? It's Yuniesky Betancourt all over again. ETA the best anagram for YB is Batter nine, you sucky. A Royals Revue classic

This is something that has shocked me about humanity since I was a kid, because I've always found it easy to identify and account for my own bias and remain objective in most circumstances. But so many people can't do this at all. They are complete slaves to the id of their psyche and what they consciously or subconsciously want or perhaps need to believe about reality. These people are disproportionately drawn to MAGAtism because make-believe isn't just sanctioned, but a central tenet.
