I've never once thought, "I want to move to Dallas" in my entire life, seeing how much rain they've received the last year compared to us, the thought is tempting.

It's buried in here somewhere but there's a series of posts on how to break the fog of someone that's been conned. Portnoy is acting as a 'cooler' here. Someone inside the social group that can allow them to admit that they were deceived without losing face. I'll take it.

The next season of Welcome to Wexham is sounding awesome. -
AND you don't play all 16 teams in the regular season anyway. Stop ducking opponents, we are going to skull fuck anyone in our path.

I think (hope) that Wednesday loss in Seattle will be the worst loss of the season for us. Hopefully it ends up meaning nothing. The Astros offense is performing horrifically- with a sub 90 ops+ Guys that are capable of hitting with good track records in the bigs suck. We could have buried ourselves (like we did last year) with that horrific offensive start but instead we are a sweep of the white sox away from (probably) ending the week in first place in the division. It's an acceptable April even if it's not what we'd have hoped for out of spring training.

I live in a world where 1) Derka 2) can observe that Dave Portnoy speaking as to the economy is important, and 3) both Derka and Dave are right. Stop this planet, I'd like to get off.

And before anyone else gets their panties in a wad over this (or tricked by a far-right leaning, billionaire-funded smear machine again), if you read the bill you’ll see it only applies to the following people/entities: Sec. 255.0015. REQUIRED DISCLOSURE ON CERTAIN POLITICAL ADVERTISING CONTAINING ALTERED MEDIA; CRIMINAL PENALTY. (a) This section applies only to a person who: (1) is an officeholder, candidate, or political committee; (2) makes expenditures during a reporting period that in the aggregate exceed $100 for political advertising, other than an expense to cover the basic cost of hardware, messaging software, and bandwidth; or (3) publishes, distributes, or broadcasts political advertising described by Subsection (b) in return for consideration. So if you want to make funny memes fire away. You’re safe so long as you aren’t a politician, PAC, or getting paid to do so. Sincerely, Dade’s mom

But did he stop on a dime?

I made it my New Year's resolution one year to send back every single postage paid postcard or envelope that I received via unsolicited marketing efforts (never with my own information, of course.) Some envelopes contained boogers, belly button lint, and/or pubes; others contained crude notes, some were empty, and many contained fragments/shreddings of each other's return materials. It was gratifying in a delightfully petty way for a while, and then it eventually got pretty tedious. I think that I made it to around October before abandoning the project.

Yeah. They should definitely be income based. But reading the text is seems like it is only for a very small number of low income black people: 1,500 people in a pretty small geographical area? Over 5 years? Seems likely to only be a pretty small budget item and potentially be revenue neutral in the long term. Seems like a pretty small thing to get upset about. But yeah they probably just should have made it income based. Granted Washington has a pretty small black population compared to the rest of the US so if they did just make it income based it probably wouldn't really help in the goal of getting black people in homes. I don't know. As for the deficit, they are one of those states with no income tax like us. We get away with it by just allowing public services state to go to shit. Maybe they should follow suit or start having an income tax.

It means they execute ruthless flanking maneuvers on corn, sorghum and sheep. Occasionally lettuce, too. They're undefeated against produce. Whoop! -
Why? There aren't going to be >16 teams from the same conference in the field.
