  2. A good OC “adjusts” as the game progresses. What a novel concept.
  3. if we are ever gonna be a powerhouse again, that glad handling smiley shit needs to be the gms job; not the coaches anymore. do you want your pilot focus on flying or communicating with someone who is having flying anxiety. thats one of the things the flight attendants are taking care of. If your pilots were running to the back of the plane for every little Karen and Kevin, even if only for first class passengers ( to complete the analogy); we would have a lot more crashes.
  4. Donald Trump said that during his talks with Volodymyr Zelensky, the idea of handing over Donbas to Russia was “never discussed.” According to him, the talks were only about freezing hostilities along the current front line. Earlier, The Washington Post reported that Vladimir Putin allegedly proposed to Trump ending the war in exchange for parts of the occupied Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. Meanwhile, Financial Times claimed that Trump echoed Putin’s talking points and urged Zelensky to withdraw Ukrainian troops from Donbas, warning that otherwise Russia could “destroy” Ukraine The President of Ukraine revealed that it was U.S. Special Envoy Witkoff who brought up the idea of Ukraine giving up Donbas during their meeting in Washington. Zelensky responded firmly, saying that Russia’s so-called “referendums” were a farce conducted after the occupation. “The Russians claim they held a vote among ‘their people,’ but between the invasion and that so-called ‘referendum,’ ten years passed,” he said. When Witkoff referred to the fact that the results of these “referendums” were written into Russia’s Constitution, Zelensky replied: “If tomorrow Putin adds something else there — are we supposed to give it up again? And if I add two Russian regions to Ukraine’s Constitution, will they withdraw from those territories?”
  5. That makes you have 1/4 wooden shoe blood Dr. Brinker. You’ll never be King of Rex now.
  6. Oh look, I was right. What say you, current dick riders? Or are there any left?
  7. The wife and I went fishing in Oregon a couple of weeks ago. Damn, it was fun. Caught a shitload of Chinook and Coho.
  8. This is the scale of turnout when the message is truly manufactured by billionaires
  9. I wonder what happened 7 years ago that made them not want to…. Ohhhh.
  10. Real leadership Lithuanian Foreign Minister: “The only European city where Putin should end up is The Hague” Kęstutis Budrys said this before the start of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Luxembourg. Budrys also stressed that he does not consider it possible for Putin’s plane to fly through Lithuanian airspace and advised the dictator to look for alternatives. It is the only road of this class that directly connects Poland with Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania Via Baltica plays a crucial role in the region’s security, defense, and economic development.
  11. One or two might be looking up, but yeah. Meanwhile, Orenburg appears to have another fire Local residents report a new fire at the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant. Eyewitnesses are posting videos of smoke, but regional emergency officials insist there’s “no fire.” Sure — the atmosphere just got a little overheated. A day earlier, the facility was already attacked by drones: according to Governor Yevgeny Solntsev, part of the infrastructure was damaged and one of the workshops caught fire.

  14. Hey man, don't forget to get some more smokes too!
  15. Well, you can't prosecute them, that would be a concession that they're ordinary criminals and the strikes are unlawful. Why they're not held as POWs is anyone's guess, but might be because they weren't drug smugglers or members of any identifiable gang or "combatant." and that would be revealed during habeas proceedings.
  16. brmc at mohawk saturday night. was on the floor and it was far too sweaty for an october night. they played all of howl and 5 or 6 other songs. i saw them at the parish 20 years ago when they originally toured for howl. it's not an album i listen to much, had forgotten how emo it is. it got a bit too whiney for me a couple times, was happy when they got to the rock portion of the show. tom petty tribute concert yesterday at hotel ella. the damn torpedoes were the backing band for several guests, and then played their own set of covers. kevin russell and kelley mickwee did a great job on stop dragging my heart around and nightwatchman. ray benson covered you don't know how it feels, and he flubbed a lot of the lyrics. the damn torpedoes drummer remains the most energetic, over the top drummer i've seen in quite some time. now let's talk about this boomer trend that i find infuriating. they will get there early and set up in the back of the venue next to a table or rail they can lean on. then they expect that no one will stand in front of them in the vast amount of open space available between them and the stage. the conversation usually goes something like this: boomer: are you seriously going to stand right there? me: yes boomer: i got here very early to stand here. it's extremely rude that you think you can waltz right in and stand in front of me. me: you're welcome to stand in front of me, there's plenty of room. boomer: but i want to stay in this spot me: well that's your choice then
  17. It's a bit as it relates to this year. We are clearly a rampaging pride of fuck lions on defense, our special teams is likely national title good (not saying best in the nation but a really solid unit that would fit in as a plus with just about any national title team) but our offesne sucks shit through a straw and is, quite frankly, stunningly inept and embarassing. That doesn't mean this team can't bumblefuck it's way to 9 or 10 wins, but, yeah, it's pretty bleak for the year. Long term out on Sark? Not a chance. He's gotten us to back to back final 4's, recruiting well, managing well, has shown good offenses in the past, etc. This year you can say- new QB, decimated (and pretty untalented) RB room, brand new TE's, starting an entire new offensive line (outside of DJ), no game breaking WR and a QB that was supposed to be a force multiplier instead pretty much sucking. We are young in many places and where we aren't actually young we are inexperienced. So, thought it was going better but I guess we couldn't overcome it. If it looks like this again next year then I will be VERY concerned about the direction of the program. Or- put another way- which programs would you trade places with nationally (future looking) with zero reservations? For me that's Ohio State, Oregon, Georgia, Domers. Shurg and say maybe yes, maybe no- Alabama. I'm not changing places with Miami or Tech or aggy or USC or Indiana or PSU or Ole Miss or TN. Florida if they nail the hire? Maybe. That's about the program and our resources as much as the head coach- but he's shown he can marshall those resources and do other big picture program stuff well. It's bizarre that it's his core competency that's held us back the last 3 or 4 years. I guess he needs his QB. The fact that that doesn't appear to be Arch is troubling- but I'm fine with wait and see for a year before being out.
  18. My biggest concern right now with Arch is his mentality. Yes, he's working hard. Yes, he's taking a beating and shown toughness standing in the pocket. He owns his mistakes and poor play. Plenty of blame falls on Sark's shoulders and a piss poor OL too. The shitty offense has been a total team and staff effort. But Arch has got to start being a leader. When asked recently on a OTF podcast, Bobby (or Gerry, can't remember) tentatively named Wisner as a team leader on offense. That's not gonna work for us. Tre is awesome and he was the clear offensive MVP vs. OU. But the QB has to be the leader. Quinn might not have been super demonstrative, but his air of confidence and cool demeanor had a very positive effect with his leadership skills. The outside pressure and national media attention has caused this team and staff to react with protectiveness with Arch. I get it, they have good intentions. Taaffe was acting like a big brother trying to defend Arch post-game. But it's not working. Sark always praised Arch for being a "great teammate" and just one of the guys the last two years while he sat behind Quinn. That you wouldn't know he was a famous hotshot Manning by the way he interacted with the team. That's great and I have a lot of respect for Arch trying to blend in. But he is the starting QB at the University of Texas now. And he has to flip that switch and become a leader. Embrace the accountability. Hold yourself and your teammates accountable. The spark starts with him.
  19. Cross-posting... Scipio Tex analysis OFFENSIVE LINE Center and left guard continue to be a massive problem, no matter who starts there. Brooks gave up three sacks and six pressures. Robertson gave up 5 hurries and 5 pressures. Neither run-blocked well. Flood has failed at teaching protections and apparently no one in the building will tell Sark that pull protections are a fail when a defense smells blood. Below we impressively combine bad pull protection with weak slide protection. This is supposed to be a gotcha play down the sideline to Endries on the fake screen. The pull “deception” in the pass protection proves useless to the play’s success. It just guarantees an immediate sack. Amusingly, if we’d actually run this as a screen with Endries leading, it would have gotten 8-10 yards. But we never went back to it, because Sark grab bag. We are just throwing stuff at the wall. “Let’s try a shot play from…a look! Also, is there any way that we can combine the two protections that no one on our team can execute?” Goosby was average to below average. Baker had a tough penalty and got bullied some in the gap run game. Both tackles did well in outside zone last weekend. So…don’t do it? Take a bow DJ Campbell. You are the only OL who played passable football.
  20. Is it time to fly a banner?
  21. Especially when the other team says fuck it for an entire half and blitzes on virtually every play.
  22. Man, look at that dude in the white maga hat. He's gonna hit the first convenience store he sees for a 12 pack, and drink 6 of them in the parking lot just to stop the shakes long enough for him to drive to a bar.
