  2. Spurs, De'Aaron Fox reach 4-year, $229M max extension, agent says https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/45900046/spurs-deaaron-fox-reach-4-year-229m-max-extension-agent-says
  3. That's usually what we get. And yet its still low 80s at 2:00 PM in Austin.
  4. I still can't believe what a dick Joe is. Chick tried to reason with him and he was just like "nope."
  5. I see we're rounding into "there is no way there are 25 teams deserving of a Top 25 ranking in the preseason this year" form.
  6. Non-functioning FEMA and both Federal and State governments out front shoulda told ya. The social/government compact in America and Texas in particular exists for one reason only: to ensure maximum profit/minimum costs/taxes to a very small segment of us....and fuck everyone and everything else. We are not seeing the system failing. We are seeing it working flawlessly, exactly as designed. From the moment the first raindrop fell the night of July 3-4 to present, and to infinity and beyond. Ho-hum, same old same old.
  7. I was always in the camp of don't eat Tex Mex anywhere north of Dallas until I had some of the best Mexican food I had ever tasted in a strip center restaurant in Vail. It didn't hurt that they also gave us all a shot of homemade tequila served in a goat hoof.
  8. bumping this We are here: https://www.cnn.com/2025/08/04/us/texas-flood-survivors Absolutely nothing on FoxNews website https://www.foxnews.com/ Absolutely nothing on MSNBC website either https://www.msnbc.com/
  9. I just imagine it as an ashtray.
  10. We are not that far away on agreeing. I am surprised that anyone survived at the camp. I think that Mr. Eastland (RIP) might have waited too long to warn the campers in that one cabin, but we all have been guilty of ignoring tornado watches/warnings and flood watches/warnings. If you look at Camp La Junta, that camp was utterly destroyed, worse than the damage at Camp Mystic, yet no one died at La Junta to my knowledge. I guess because they had more warning and were further downstream? I have lots of questions. Again, I would invite you to come and see for yourself, as Squish Mitten has done - you really can't describe the destruction here. Peace C-Man.
  11. I will say though, that from an interpersonal skills standpoint, both of my kids check all of the boxes.
  12. I assume the 50k is a little inflated, but really any number above a 5k is bad news for them.
  13. all in !!!! im also all in on dating jennifer lawrence this week !
  14. A nice, well-stated update message from Mo-Ranch: Tim is good people, and the crew they have working at Mo these days are top-notch.
  15. Nah, she was getting destroyed by a 200-lb RB….
  16. I didn't have a problem with his character doing those things. It was more the improbability. He's never shown the aptitude to be able to decipher a language from a few snippets. They needed to set it up better. And the "sexy alien" thing was annoying because Johnny was more practical in this movie. He honestly wouldn't have been focused on such idiot things in that situation. It reeked of marvel studios trying to insert their stupid humor, which was thankfully in short supply in this movie. I agree with you, I enjoyed the more noble version of Johnny in this movie.
  17. Feels like a little 5-1 end to the road trip headed into the next homestand. also wouldn’t be surprised by 1-5, so there’s that.
  18. My first thought?
  19. Didn't think anyone but Jeselnik would say some messed up shit like this. The hosts can't handle it 😆 🤣
  20. Here's why that's bad news for Texas -satya
