  1. Past hour
  2. Thoughts in general on the Nike line of shirts and clothing for Texas? Getting better, worse, the same? Also highlight whether you are old, young, or middle aged.
  3. You WILL regret dating that chick.
  4. I don’t hate them. But I don’t really like them either. Maybe if they didn’t have the Nike swoosh on them
  5. Fucking legend
  6. I think you need to read the post just above yours. This isn’t me saying this, it’s what Texas at one time was considering. Fast forward to today and I think we all would believe that Texas would go a different direction, but Traylor in his own mind is still waiting around hoping to get a shot. So maybe you should be the one to get a grip.
  7. I’m sure it was discussed on Surly, but that doesn’t make it a reality or a remote possibility. Texas isn’t going from Steve Sarkisian to Jeff Traylor. Get a grip.
  8. That's just the silhouette of the round lumed index behind it. The hand is a straight sword hand.
  9. Putting Trump aside for the moment. Stirring up crime fear among a non-involved populace and subsequent governmental over-reaction is one of the oldest political stunts in the book. The governmental overreaction almost always involves terrible and expensive policy that sacrifices civil rights and does little or nothing for public safety. Think satanic panic, Biden crime bill, Miami and cocaine, the examples are endless. People are getting suckered in the worst possible way.
  10. There are a number of posters here who I think are perfectly fine to clean their gun while it was loaded…
  11. Today
  12. I’m an unabashed ABBA fan from my high school days in the ‘70s. Early ZZ Top, early Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ELO, etc. It’s a playlist from Top 40 radio back then. I liked it all. Mama Mia is also a production masterpiece in my mind. Just a great hook and the guys that produced the sound were geniuses for their time, IMO.
  13. Some of them may be adherents to or knowledgeable of the Thiel/Andreesen unorthodoxy. The place did host Yarvin at a debate.
  14. Were your communications with them as lacking in detail as this post??? What do you mean by money in your grandma's estate? Who's name is the interest currently in? The lack of detail is tied directly to the thought that I'm not sure what is and what is not safe to post on a message board. Of course, there's a lot more detail when dealing with XTO, but that is ineffective as their firewalls prevent any real conversation with exchanges of real, useful information from occurring. The logical next step seems to be sharing that detailed information with an experienced attorney who can take the details, decipher what's known, and break through XTO's gatekeeping system to get some movement on the matter. Certainly that's enough information to get to the, "I might know a guy..." level. No?
  15. this Breakfast Club reboot looks like it sucks
  16. Watched & enjoyed it.
  17. Back in January, I was shopping at the Love Me Two Times antique store in Tulsa not paying any attention at all to the guy standing next to me in the heavy coat and ballcap. Suddenly, a young lady approached from behind saying "Oh my God, can I have a picture with you??" Turned around to realize the guy to my left was Ethan Hawke. She asked him what he was doing in Tulsa and he said they were 'shooting a TV show'. So, I've been impatiently awaiting the release of this since. Donald Washberg for Governor!!!
  18. There's a track that would be especially poignant right now.
  19. Agreed on the umami taste... And its flavor is completely different from thermite
  20. Many moons ago, I clerked at Roy Minton's firm for two years while going through law school, and I still have a tremendous amount of respect for him & his legacy. His death was a big loss to the legal community in Texas. He got consistently great results by being genuine, insightful as what makes people tick, polite, sharp as a tack, well-prepared, and down-to-earth. I still regard my two years there as the other half of my legal education. His older son, David, was also at the firm at the time, and he's another good guy. I got from David one of my favorite lines to use when someone screws up -- "he just shat in his messkit." David probably got it from his dad. Perry was still in undergrad at the time, but he used to stop by the office occasionally.
  21. <— sported knee braces on both knees back when I played ball regularly.
  22. I’m pretty sure that 95 under par would win most tournaments
