  1. Past hour
  2. Dems need to start insinuating that JD is the real President and Trump is incompetent. Nothing would piss off Trump more if anyone thinks he isn't in charge. While JD would denounce that implication, it would force Trump to start calling our JD as unable to lead. And then the more Trump fights that opinion, start doubling down more. Force an inner WH fight even a one direction fight.
  3. That was probably perennial vanity candidate Gene Kelly
  4. Would it be worth it in the playoff? The risk is there in every practice, scrimmage, spring game, pick up basketball game, etc. Should we bubble wrap them? Personally, I want them pissed off. I want them to kick the everliving shit out of Michigan and then be out for blood next season. Having a chip on their shoulder is good.
  5. I want to see motherfuckers crushing Cheeze-Its into a fine powder and snorting that shit on national TV. Players doing Cheeze-It dust lines off of cheerleader’s tits. I want to see players eating Cheeze-Its on the field between plays. Put boxes of Cheeze-Its in a cannon and fire that shit straight at the fans. Make this shit fun and rival the Pop-Tart Bowl.
  6. Centrism and moderation are fool’s gold, for multiple reasons. I’m not saying a centrist or a moderate can’t win. They can, but it’s irrelevant to winning; doesn’t help, doesn’t hurt. It’s the middle ground between poles on a map nobody cares about out.
  7. stick to Chicago or Detroit style. The sauce is a binder in NY style, not the main event. Focus is on the cheese, dough and toppings. I'm sure you can ask for extra sauce. It is not the best but top 10 in town easy.
  8. Austin Mack is a JAG and everyone at Alabama knows it. They went all in to recruit Russell. They may choose to sign a veteran but if they do Keelon is gone.
  9. We don’t need AI for that, the math and formulas have always been there. The real issue is that sports guy talking heads, conference reps, and fans will not like doing it that way and will melt down when the math doesn’t work their way.
  10. Damn, those tariffs are funding a lot of different things. Alledgedly.
  11. The 80s were a different time man.
  12. Hey, that woman is doing important research on how to stop autism and manage the next pandemic, okay?
  13. Did you make it? I whipped up the dough on Saturday and it's fermenting in my refrigerator. I'll probably use it tomorrow night or Wednesday.
  14. Platner has his military background and blue collar beard look that appeal to some. Talarico can't mimic that. How someone physically looks can count for a large % of their support.
  15. One of my favorite Longhorn players I've been fortunate enough to hang with. Really, really nice guy and I hope he finds success in football and post-football with his apparel brand. You can see his brand here:

Fair. I may have misremembered how things were. I recall 30+ point beat downs from the late 90s.
  17. We will always have this weird beauty pageant invitational crap because there are too many competing businesses (conferences) that are self-serving. If we want to play fantasy for a minute: conferences would get blown up, realigned for parity, long standing rivalries and geography as best as possible. Each division can just be the conference name instead of something boring like west/north etc 10 teams per conference, 6 conferences. Round robin, no CCG. Top 2 teams in each conference get auto bids. If needed, a wild card system can be devised. The remaining +60 programs would be put in the new FBS-II or something with 7 conferences and 10 teams per, with their own separate playoffs. There are 136 teams in FBS, so things don't divide perfectly. Or 8 conferences in FBS and 6 in FBS-II etc. Maybe allow some teams from FBS-II to move up (i.e. for winning FBS-II titles) and then push some of the bottom dwellers in FBS down etc based on performance. I'm sure there are some tweaks that could make it better, but that's just off the top of my head. --End of fantasy--

    Senate 2026

Yeah I don't think he is a centrist either. My main concern with him is he doesn't seem to channel working class rage like Platner does...but we shall see.
  19. That’s not at all accurate. Texas as still competitive. The GOP held the state senate by one seat. Sanchez got annihilated, losing by 18%, but John Sharp only lost the Gov Lite race by 5% and Kirk by 12. And that sweep was only possible because the Democrats publicly chose to “keep their powder dry”* in 2000 and didn’t field a full ticket. Then they turned Kirk’s senate race into a referendum on who would be most helpful to Bush** between himself and Cornyn. If not for unforced errors Sharp wins in 2002, and Bell wins the Governor mansion in 2006 instead of losing by 10%.
  20. God I hope you’re right.
  21. It would seem that with ai and other advances a BCS type formula could be far improved than the prior iteration. The big question is how to agree on how to program it and how to weigh certain things like noncon games or conference games with unequal scheduling. UT’s beef is the tOSU loss. Should the computers disregard it entirely or give it a weight? Should the weight be on a sliding scale? A noncon loss to the No. 2 team should be less detrimental than to the No. 10 team, or No. 20, or No. 25, etc., but it likely cannot be ignored entirely. Would admins and conferences agree to the computer weighing wins over FCS very lightly or possibly ignoring them altogether? How about computer rankings set the bracket and a committee is formed with the sole job of determining if other factors require an adjustment and the vote must be unanimous to alter the computer ranking and explained on paper in a professional manner like a legal brief or arbitrators decision instead of putting some jagoff on camera to yammer away like a dolt.
  22. When you got 2 OL coaches, you got no OL coach
  23. Cal's season is one of the most nonsensical things I have seen in a long time. They lose 34-0 to San Diego State and get destroyed by Stanford...yet take down Louisville and SMU and finish 7-5 and get a vacation in Hawaii.
  24. Well, refusing to release the inflation data MUST mean only sunshine and dandelions right?
  25. I don’t think Talarico is a centrist. He’s probably aligned with Crockett on all policy views. The difference is Talarico won’t activate the racists and sexists on the other side to juice opposition turnout.
