  2. This is the first time I can recall see Diane and she actually having lines in a scene. If I remember correctly, Rick was working on portal travel and was stuck, she encouraged him, and there was a comment about someone going for ice cream when Rick Prime dropped the bomb which killed Diane. I can't recall an explanation ever given as to why Rick Prime first killed C-137's Diane and then used the Omega device to erase Diane from all dimensions. One theory I heard once was Rick Prime was the first to discover portal travel, choose to explore the dimensions versus staying with Diane and Beth, Diane left him with Beth and the pain was so profound that he wanted to erase any memory of Diane. Overall, liked the first 20+ minutes of this one, thought it fell apart a bit at the end of the chase scene, and liked the ending. Reconfirmed Rick has always been a shit father, Diane is the parent who raised Beth, and when Diane was killed C-137 was unable to put aside his pain and loss for the good of their daughter. That story line is pretty damn real for far too many families.
  3. Gotcha. That’s very true. Alabama is the measuring stick program for SEC teams because of their history of success. Even in the Bill Curry or Mike Shula years, beating them was a highlight of the season for most schools.

  6. FYI, you can find off-brand rechargeable batteries for Spypoint cams on Amazon that will last several months between charges. I've replaced the disposable batteries in almost all of the cameras at our lease. About $15-25 each depending on the model. Most use LIT-22 batteries and you can get a pack of 2 for $45. They charge with any standard USB-C cable.
  7. NATO aircraft scrambled during major Russian drone, missile strike on Ukraine A drone also crossed into Lithuania from Belarus, an official told ABC News. ByDavid Brennan July 28, 2025, 6:23 AM 1:04 Trump says he will reduce 50-day timeline for Russia's Putin to make peace dealPresident Donald Trump expressed frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin and said he would reduce the 50-day timeline he gave Russia to agree to a peace deal with Ukraine. LONDON -- Polish and allied NATO aircraft were scrambled in response to a large Russian drone and missile attack launched into Ukraine on Sunday night, the Polish military's Operational Command said in a statement. "Polish and allied duty aircraft have been scrambled and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have reached the highest state of readiness," the command said in a statement posted to X in the early hours of Monday morning, as hundreds of drones and missiles targeted sites across Ukraine. The alert lasted for around three hours, after which the command posted another statement saying that "deployed forces and resources have returned to standard operational activities." NATO's Air Command and Swedish JAS 39 Gripen fighters stationed in Poland took part in the response, the Polish Operational Command said. An official at Lithuania's Defense Ministry confirmed to ABC News that a drone also crossed into Lithuania from Belarusian airspace. Russian forces regularly route drones through Belarusian airspace to attack Ukrainian targets from the north. A search for the drone was still underway as of Monday morning, the official said. Russia launched 324 drones and seven missiles into Ukraine overnight, the Ukrainian air force said in a statement published on Telegram. Of those, 309 drones and two missiles were shot down or suppressed, it said, with 15 strike drones and two missiles impacting across three locations. During his visit to the U.K. on Monday, President Donald Trump expressed frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the continued long-range attacks. The president said he would shorten the 50-day window offered to Putin earlier this month in which to agree to a ceasefire deal or face punishing sanctions and tariffs. "I'm disappointed in President Putin, very disappointed in him," Trump told reporters. "So we're going to have to look and I'm going to reduce that 50 days that I gave him to lesser number, because I think I already know the answer what's going to happen." At least eight people were injured in Kyiv after a Russian drone hit a residential highrise, the head of the city's military administration said in a post to Telegram. Andriy Yermak, the head of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's office, wrote on Telegram that the most recent barrage was evidence of Putin's lack of commitment to a proposed ceasefire. "This is how Putin responds to calls to end the war and sit at the negotiating table," he wrote. "Russian air attacks are still ongoing, with civilian infrastructure, homes and people, including in Kyiv, already affected." "There is no alternative to sanctions, strengthening Ukraine's long-range capabilities and tough actions against Putin's circle and Putin himself," Yermak wrote. "He wants nothing but war and Ukraine's defeat. And there will be no defeat." Referring to the scrambling of NATO aircraft and the drone crossing into Lithuania, Yermak added, "The Russians and their satellites are testing NATO's reaction. Drones entering the airspace of the Baltic countries are signals that cannot be ignored." Zelenskyy also posted to Telegram noting that Kyiv is "constantly strengthening the Ukrainian air shield and it is very important to maintain full understanding among partners about how exactly they can help. Step by step, we are closing the funding gap for drone production and this week I will have new talks with partners regarding this task." "Restoration and rescue work is currently underway everywhere it is needed," the president added of the overnight drone and missile impacts. "This particularly concerns electricity supply. Necessary assistance is being provided to the wounded." Russia's Defense Ministry, meanwhile, said its forces shot down seven Ukrainian drones overnight. ABC News' Hannah Demissie, Michelle Stoddart, Lalee Ibssa and Fidel Pavlenko contributed to this report.

  10. Palabra! Honestly, to come out 6-5 vs the NL division leaders is really solid, especially considering it could have been 7-4. I do hate being in this "almost good" spot though. Young af team battling it's ass off but still making tons of mental errors and no real chance of postseason success, and no way they're going to be buyers. Just hope they don't sell too much and cut the legs out of the rest of the season.

  15. Pretty scathing review as a whole. Ignoring presentation, the food was meh. And nothing more than rebranded normalcy (The condiments like “Electric Sauce” were the usual relabeled chipotle mayo and similar stuff). Not to mention that the execution was just bad and obviously, overpriced. Given the pictures clearly more effort was spent on to go boxes over food itself. The place itself was unimpressive. Lame decor, ill thought out design. Dirty bathrooms (and only 3 STALLS for a restaurant that seats 250). Parking spots that don't face the drive in movie screens. Oh and those screens? Block an apartment. The last paragraph really nails it (emphasis mine): From the sound of it, the Tesla diner should be a monument to just how out of touch Elon really is. 21. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/07/28/world/middleeast/israel-genocide-gaza-rights-groups.html Two of Israel’s best-known human rights groups said Monday that Israel was committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, adding fuel to a passionately fought international debate over whether the death and destruction there have crossed a moral red line. The two groups were B’Tselem, a rights monitor that documents the effects of Israeli policies on Palestinians, and Physicians for Human Rights — Israel. Their announcement was the first time major Israeli rights groups have publicly concluded that the Gaza war is a genocide, an assessment previously reached by some organizations like Amnesty International. In a report titled “Our Genocide,” B’Tselem cited the devastating effects of Israel’s war on ordinary Palestinians to support their claim: the killing of tens of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza; the razing of huge areas of Palestinian cities; the forced displacement of nearly all of Gaza’s two million people; the restriction of food and other vital supplies. All together, the Israeli campaign has amounted to “coordinated action to intentionally destroy Palestinian society in the Gaza Strip,” the organization wrote. “In other words: Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.” The debate over whether the war in Gaza constitutes genocide has also played out at the International Court of Justice, where South Africa has brought a genocide case against Israel. The court has yet to rule on the matter. The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not immediately comment. Speaking at the International Court of Justice in January 2024, Tal Becker, a member of Israel’s legal defense, said that Israel was fighting Hamas, not targeting Palestinians wholesale. “What Israel seeks by operating in Gaza is not to destroy a people, but to protect a people, its people, who are under attack on multiple fronts, and to do so in accordance with the law,” Mr. Becker told the court. Genocide has a specific definition in international law: particular acts carried out with intent to destroy a group in whole or in part. The accusation hits a painful nerve for Israel, a state founded after Nazi Germany’s attempt to exterminate European Jewry. Israel vigorously denies that its war against Hamas in Gaza amounts to genocide, countering that Hamas seeks to destroy the Jewish state. Israeli officials have also pointed to the Hamas-led attack on Oct. 7, 2023, in which 1,200 people were killed, mostly civilians, which prompted the devastating Israeli response. The subsequent Israeli bombing campaign and ground offensive in Gaza have killed more than 59,000 people, including thousands of children, according to the Gazan health ministry. That toll does not distinguish between civilians and combatants; at one point, the Israeli military chief said nearly 20,000 Hamas fighters had been killed in the conflict, without providing evidence. Yuli Novak, the director of B’Tselem, said that she was not seeking to minimize the “horrific attack” that Hamas had perpetrated on Oct. 7. But the assault had prompted an Israeli assault on Palestinian life in Gaza that had spiraled into genocide, she said. “The report we are publishing today is one we never imagined we would have to write,” Ms. Novak said at a news conference in Jerusalem. “But in recent months, we have been witnessing a reality that has left us no choice but to acknowledge the truth.” As part of the case for genocide, international law requires that there be proof of intent. In the report on Monday, B’Tselem cited a string of dehumanizing remarks by Israeli government officials, such as a statement by Yoav Gallant, a former defense minister, that Israel was fighting “human animals” in Gaza. Some Israeli politicians have also said that their goal is to drive the remaining Palestinians out of Gaza. Israeli leaders argue that the country has adhered to humanitarian law, that generals work closely with legal advisers who ensure compliance with standards, and that Israel has gone above and beyond what other Western countries have done in similar situations. Mr. Netanyahu has at times distanced himself from the most extreme statements made by his political allies. But for the vast majority of Gazan civilians, the past 22 months have been a desperate attempt to survive constant Israeli bombardment, find enough food and clean water for their families, and flee amid Israeli warnings to immediately evacuate or risk being killed. The growing number of Gazans now starving has contributed to rising criticism of Israel by some of its longtime allies. Israeli military officials often attributed the deadly impact of the war on Palestinians to Hamas’s strategy of fighting its insurgency by hiding among civilians. The Israeli rights groups said that alone could not explain the rampant death and destruction in Gaza. “Israel’s claim that Hamas fighters or members of other armed Palestinian groups were present in medical or civilian facilities, frequently without providing any evidence, cannot justify or explain such widespread, systematic destruction,” B’Tselem wrote.
