I played the Austin Beerworks course this morning (now enjoying beers in the tap room). Such a fun course but definitely challenging. I didn't take many photos, but here's one from the tee pad on 4.
  5. What name was on the disclosures
  6. I love that one. Lots of inner dialogue so maybe they get Morgan Freeman to narrate.

    Getting old sucks

for anyone dealing with cognitive decline ... the other thing about cognitive health --- blood flow is probably along with diet the most important thing. nutrient deficiencies and added toxins or inflammatory compounds like added sugar are terrible, and there are literally hundreds of natural compounds in healthy foods that are neuroprotective. but back to blood flow, high intensity interval training (HIIT) and sprint interval training (SIT) are tremendously helpful for cognitive health. I've probably spent 200 hours researching brain health because of my illness last year and what became clear is that it's really hard to heal a brain but it some case it can happen but whether it's healing or halting a decline the fundamental key is blood flow - in every single case getting max blood flow to the brain is critical. unfortunately it's really hard to get that blood pumping to the far reaches of the brain but the one thing that does it, strenuous exercise. going for a jog is great, and HIIT can be helpful for even those beginning a journey of wellness in the gym, but if you are in good shape (which is a prereq for SIT), it's time to up it to the next level, sprint interval training (SIT) and that shit will get blood to everything. basically you exert max effort for 30 seconds then rest for up to 4 minutes and do that a bunch of times. I do 6-8 sprints on a stationary bike with a minute or less in between to mimic an all out tennis point (you only get 20 seconds to rest between points). my way is probably ill advised an I think I may revise to 6-8 times with a 90 second break because by the 4th or 5th time I'm not fully recovered in my 20-40 second rest period. another blood flow treatment is EECP - I used it to help with micro-vascular and brain injury from long covid and it was a fucking miracle. there is emerging interest in its effectiveness for neurodegenerative illnesses... I spent hours working on understanding it before I committed to a seven week treatment protocol - every single work day for seven weeks - but it was a game changer. Too lazy to deep dive again, I asked chatgpt to tell me, here's the excerpt... while the insurance issue is legit, you can probably find a cardiologist that will recommend it. my cardiologist was able to get it approved for long covid with a heart injury focus.

  9. I guess I missed that it had already passed when I posted that. Welp, at least I have property and citizenship in Mexico.
  10. meh
  11. Use Elmo, abuse him, milk him for whatever he's worth to rid ourselves of the scourge that is Trump/MAGA and then ...
  12. We once did 5 nights in Paris followed by 3 nights in the Loire Valley. We stayed in Amboise, which we found to be a nice town with good access to nearby chateaus. If you find that kind of thing interesting, I would specifically recommend visiting Chateau Chambord and Chateau Chenonceau. The surrounding countryside is really beautiful as well. I would highly recommend renting a car in Paris so you have the freedom to explore on your own. I think it’s about a 1.5 hour drive from Paris.
  13. Stop asking any question that amounts to "so what if the American people DON'T get totally assfucked?" That's a hypothetical that will never happen. "We get assfucked" is the always and only answer.
  14. The title company for our current house rejected our signed documents because none of our signatures included a middle initial. It was the weirdest thing ever. I told them I would go back and just write it at the top but refused to re-sign everything. Now every legal document I own has the same signature except for my mortgage documents. So weird.
  15. FYI, they are finally making another great non-horror King story, the Long Walk, into a movie that releases later this year. I'm uncertain how it will translate to film.
  16. Lotsa fuck machines on this board. Meanwhile…
  17. Is Shedeur gonna be able to go Rolex deep into Deshaun?
  18. @Armybrat were you there?
  19. looks much closer to the book. The 80s movie was different than the book. beat me to it.
  20. That skeet is pointing out that Teslas are depreciating faster than (as least a couple) other EVs. It's taking a mildly interesting fact and making into a "Elon is destroyed" internet moment.
  21. Well, AI gave him moobs but probably didn't make them big enough.
  22. No doubt, but that is small potatoes compared to the Watson bullshit.
  23. Cowyboys Super Bowl pictures.
