  1. I want to feel sorry for her, but if she was a decent person, she would have smothered Stephen with a pillow when he was a child.

  2. I remember my grandmother taking one of these cognitive tests a few years ago. When she was done, the home health care person who was administering the test asked her to write down just one question that she would like to ask the home health care agent. Her question - "Why do you ask so many dumb questions?" My grandmother will turn 106 in September (God willing and the creek don't rise), and she still thinks Trump is a moron.

  3. My 88 year old dad had a stroke almost a month ago and is doing OK in terms of stroke and functioning. Went to the hospital for 3 days and then rehab at his retirement community rehab/nursing center which was an ordeal. Was moved to several different rooms. Some without TVs so he was bored. Tested positive for covid 19 when he arrived so put in a semiprivate room with another positive patient. He had no symptoms throughout the ordeal. Tested negative over a week ago and moved again. Tested negative again and finally got to go home this afternoon. Happy camper! Back in his duplex at the retirement community with a sitter for a period of time. Now waiting to get better so he can get his dog back:

  5. For sure. He's just different. But really, it's not just Bijan. I mean, he's the extreme example but there are a lot of guys in this class (and each of Herman's classes) that are simply different. It's one of the reasons I'm stunned when I see people that are hating on Herman as a constant refrain. Do they not go to games? Have they not witnessed the actual clearly visible physical transformation of our roster? Don't get me wrong, I know Herman has got to get better and quickly, but can those same people not see the difference in signing guys like Breckyn Hager vs. Joseph Ossai, not to mention someone like Alfred Collins FFS. Guys like Keondre Coburn, who on his first day on campus was the best looking most physically developed DT on the roster. Guys like Jhadae Barron, Jaylan Ford, Kelvontay Dixon, Jaden Hullaby, and Adrej Karic make up the BOTTOM portion of the classes. Garrett Thomas or Andrej Karic? Tough choice. TSRH. This. EXACT. Shit. Collins will be a top 20 draft pick, barring injury. Ash will do with him exactly what he did with similar guys at Wisconsin and Ohio State --- he'll get the fuck out of the way. He's going to keep things simple and let these big, strong, fast, guys be bigger, stronger, and faster than the guy they line up against. Casual Texas fans in 2020 (as long as we have this season) "Who is T'Vondre Sweat and why does he continue to pull limbs off of people in the backfield? Why do he and Keondre Coburn appear to be in the backfield before the QB has the snap over and over? Where were these guys last year? Why aren't we blitzing on 3rd and 63?"

  6. If Republicans want to have any hope at all of ever seeing my vote again, they're going to have to change some things right now, and they are going to have to hope my dad survives. He seemed to be getting better a couple days ago after a week with Covid, but this morning he's heading to the hospital with what looks like pneumonia related to COVID. If he dies from this, I will work for the rest of my life to make sure Republicans lose power where they have it, and stay out of power where they don't. He caught it at work, which he does 3 days a week because he's retired and bored, but he is an essential worker so his work didn't change when this hit. He works at a place where everyone is tested regularly and gets a temp check every day on their way in. You can't count on that to keep you safe. Let me repeat that: He works at a place where everyone is tested regularly and gets a temp check every day on their way in. You can't count on those two safety measures to keep you safe. Stay safe everyone.

  7. Not political, but since I've been posted here more than the DT thread lately: My 88 year old dad had a stroke almost a month ago and is doing OK in terms of stroke and functioning. Now waiting to get better so he can get his dog back. Hell, let's make it political -- he's an evangelical Trumper, so he probably thinks that either 1) God healed him or 2) it really is a hoax.

  14. Yeah, what a twit she is, right? Again, she is more of a "man" -- if we define 'man" the way I was raised: having courage, honor, and integrity -- than any male GOP congresscritter. Being female, she has no balls, yet she has more balls than any of those gutless fucking cowards. Seriously. As for "real world experience," you know what I think is REALLY fucking valuable? Having someone in Congress whose life experience is NOT "worked for daddy's company, hung out at the country club, and cruised into office based on a campaign financed by rich contributors who expect me to return the favor," but instead is "grew up in a lower middle class household, like most of America, held menial jobs, like most of America, and busted her ass to get where she is in a working class district." Man, that sounds like a FUCKTON of "real world experience" to me, and it's something that is miserably absent from Congress -- you know, the folks who are supposed to represent "we the people." I've had enough of politicians who don't have any idea what it's fucking like to have to decide whether to pay the electric bill or the rent at the end of the month, who don't know what it's like to have doors slammed in your face because you don't come from the right family, or you look too "ethnic," who don't know what it's like to fucking scrap and struggle for everything you've got -- which is the lot of the MAJORITY of Americans, in one aspect or another. We're calling HER naive and clueless? And not the fucking class of rich, recreational congresscritters and senators who have never had to worry about paying a single bill in their entire fucking lives? THAT is "naive and clueless," folks.

  16. Part of the problem with a limited imagination and a poor education is that one cannot discern situations. Being on the wrong side of the intellectual bell curve is not a problem as long as you accept it or work on some skill to offset the disadvantage. You may be unfamiliar with history, so I will share with you a simple fact that there were many revolutions and insurrections before Marx and they had multiple reasons too. One could even argue that this country was founded on a now solely Democratic Party belief in the right of representation (voting) that the right loves to suppress and restrict at every turn. What you see as Communism was actually totalitarianism and not so much in disguise but you could not see beyond the words and your emotions with those words. Thus you don’t actually understand and cannot see how the right embraces authoritarianism and is much closer to those “communists” you so fear.

  18. Orlando is gone. Ash will not have Collins dropping back into coverage nor will he have Collins in a 3 4 eating up blockers so that our LBs can misread the play and gap. It's really simple. Tell him to go tackle whoever has the ball and kill anyone in the way.

  19. Trump was just impeached (it feels like years ago) for cheating in the 2020 election, and the GOP almost universally ran interference for his cheating. And he's made up crap about illegals voting. There are many examples of Republicans cheating at elections in recent years. They may not have cheated in all elections, or enough to win all elections, but there's many examples of cheating. Just because Republicans can invent a tale out of whole cloth to try and accuse Democrats of doing what the Republicans are guilty of, doesn't make this a both sides issue.

  22. I agree. But I have found that many do not understand that. It is that conundrum where two people can take a diametrically opposed view and both still have valid points. I feel like there are vasts swaths of people that do not understand that. See the shouting each other down rather than having meaningful debate. And yeah, AOC is guilty of the shouting each other down as is every other member of Congress. They all suck IMO. You went from "AOC really is dizzy because she doesn't know anything about economics" to "yes, people can be diametrically opposed in their viewpoints on economics but both have valid points, AOC is the problem because she shouts opposing views down and claims they don't know anything." If there were a 100m backpedal in the Olympics you might be able to make the team.

  30. What’s awesome is how full of shit he is. I give that test 20 times a week. I used to give it even more when I ran a brain injury unit. And I don’t give it to anyone who’s a questionable genius. No, we give that when we think you have dementia. Fucking bozo. Edit: 'they say, wow, how did you do that?' LMAO - no doctor has ever responded like that, unless you have someone who zero doubt has dementia and pull that out of their ass. Only the people who I give an extra pudding cup to get that type of response.

  31. Y’all I just realized he didn’t make up or recall his actual test question. “Person. Woman Man. Camera. TV.” - he’s just reciting what’s in his field of vision. Watch his eyes. Person (Television producer) Woman (Kayleigh McWhatsherface) Man (Cameraman) Camera (Television Camera) TV (Monitor to see the playback)
