To get around the DOTARD pardon, is there any way he could be brought up on any state crimes? Lawdogs?

evasion of CA income taxes perhaps?

Wrapping himself in the flag....by bragging about how he fought for war criminals who were loathed by their own unit-mates.  Real prince, he is.

zero remorse in that letter for his lack of ethics.

Was it ever mentioned why he waited to resign? Was there some pension uptick if he lasted until next week?

I used to wonder at the mental gymnastics required to square one's behavior with their moral compass until I realized that for some people that temporal area in their brain has no wrinkles, no defined area of reasonable rational thought. It is simply a flat smooth expanse of brown excrement. Unfortunately, Duncan Hunter is not alone in possessing this cerebral phenomena and it seems to inhabit many of the brains of the GOP members. Sad.

Smart, IMO.  That's a solid-red district.  It sucks that they will be without a congressman, but, then again, they elected this POS when they knew full-well that he was dirty, so fuck them.

These are the type of people who will continue to get elected in this country. Only unethical, scumbags will step forward in this corrupt political environment.

Horseshit justice system, man.

And I’m sure he’ll stay free pending appeal for years and end up only serving like 30 days.

can you appeal when you enter a guilty plea.

Depends on what the plea deal states, but that only applies to sentencing.
