B-b-b-b-both sides!!!!! And bullshit. The garbage the GOP has pulled since bowing down to the orange shitgibbon automatically makes the Democrats 10,000 times better. The “both sides” bullshittery is how we ended up here. Don’t compare craven business as usual politics with the utter lawlessness of the Trump administration.11 points

So apparently up until a year or so ago my wife thought the little urinal thing on the side of a porta potty was a shelf to set your phone on. She's been setting her phone on dirty urinal cakes for years while she pees at concerts and fairs and stuff...8 points

two things: 1)he missed a whole bunch of open guys when he was under zero pressure. to blame those throws on the o line is horse shit. 2)the "omg we won stop bitching" crowd and all the jokers who keep pos repping them can go find the game thread now please and thank you. this is a thread specifically dedicated to discussing sam ehlinger and his performance. this isn't a game thread, and it isn't hornfans. if ehlinger doesn't play particularly well then it's going to get talked about in here. telling everyone to shut up because we won is just mucking up the thread with sunshine fanboy crap. and the way you guys all incessantly rep and quote each other just derails the thread. cut it out.7 points

Went to both the wrap party and cast party. Fuck I’m paying for it now. Real good time. First time going to the wrap party, 3rd time going to cast party. Most of the cast is headed to Vegas now, some big reality event. Finale night- most of production was surprised KC won because Scottie had told them prior he was voting for Tyler to win. Despite Hayleigh saying the speech changed her vote, she was always voting for Tyler. Also they were pissed about the engagement. That was 100% Grodner and Chen’s call. Most of the staff wanted to close with that because they knew it would cut into the F2 final speeches. And for someone who had such a complete game like Tyler, 45 seconds isn’t enough to explain all the moves he made. Apparently Kaitlin was mad she didn’t get to call Tyler out for “emotional manipulation”. KC’s mom was hilarious. She kept saying “let’s go!” every time she hugged a cast member. If KC was runner up, she would have won AFP. Brett was 3rd, Hay 4th, Sam and Angela we’re pretty much tied for 5th. Tyler won by a significant margin. Wrap party- after backyard interviews, we went to some other building on the lot. Pretty intimate setting. Cast, production, and the Finalists family/guests, plus a few “friends of friends” like myself. Impressions after brief convos: never talked to Rockstar, Sam, JC, Swag, Bay. JC was visibly shaken and was getting a lot of reassurance from his friends and cast that everything is alright. I assume it was from some of the questions he got about his TMZish behavior in the house. Kaitin- aloof. Didn’t listen to a word I said. Kept eying Tyler and Angela. Steve- nice guy. Can tell he’s not looking for anything from his experience. Scottie- very socially awkward, but he seems rather harmless. I asked about his 2nd exit, he said he pissed off A Lot of production and he apologized to Angela at the Round table. Angela- was very nice, well spoken, but you could tell she really wanted to keep the convo brief because she wanted go hang out with Tyler and his fam. Rachel, Brett, Winston- They were there for booze and the 15 minutes of fame. Brett really tries hard to be the life of the party, Rachel tries to top him, Winston was more reserved but still enjoying the hell out of the moment. Hayleigh- super cute and nice. Almost over the top, but I think she was just genuinely excited. Showed her my Horns tat, and she shot me a look and said No! Kidding of course, she admitted Austin is so much more fun that CS. Said she is supposed to have her ring dunking ceremony next semester? Idk, her tits were bout ready to pop out. Fessy- was funny. I kept ribbing him about how clueless he was. He took it in stride. Good guy. Out of nowhere, he asked if I thought him and Hayleigh were gonna last. Like, he expected me to say anything other than yes? Sure Fessy (shakes head no). KC- was still on cloud nine. Told her she played a great game. She joking said “I agree”. She honestly didn’t think the votes would be that close. She thought she would only lose Angela and JC’s vote. Tyler- Came over while I was talking to KC. Gave her a hug, said he was proud of her. She went back over to her family, then I told him I thought he played a fantastic game. He said thanks and then saw my beer was low. Went and grabbed me and him a refresher. Cool fucking guy. He really thought Fessy was going to vote for him. He said he kinda regretted apologizing to Bay because he knew he really didn’t do anything wrong, just a half assed attempt to swing her vote. Was sincerely shocked he won AFP, then he talked non stop about Angela. Dude is legit in love. They kept giving each other the fuck me eyes while we were talking. I told him to go back over with her, that he’s got catching up to do. He said naw, he had to be sequestered that night, but tomorrow... then smiled and walked off. I’ll spill the tea from the cast party later, not much but some drama.7 points

Really? Was it great coaching to start Delton instead of Thompson? Better coaching to get them a 19-0 deficit with 76 yards offense in the first half? Better coaching to score a whopping 14 points, or maybe the 200 total yards of offense? Give me a break5 points

We don't need the FBI to tell us that Brett Kavanaugh, as a judge, at best is unable/unwilling to make the distinction between a refutation and a lack of recollection when he claimed party attendees disputed Ford's account, or at worst intentionally told a demonstrable falsehood under oath. That's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this nomination but by itself should be more than enough to not only disqualify him from the SC, but from being a judge at all. He should be breathing a sigh of relief he's not yet going to jail, but I'm sure he'll continue to be outraged in his consequence-free world the elite are accustomed to.5 points

https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/i-knew-brett-kavanaugh-during-his-years-republican-operative-don-ncna907391 I used to know Brett Kavanaugh pretty well. And, when I think of Brett now, in the midst of his hearings for a lifetime appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court, all I can think of is the old "Aesop's Fables" adage: "A man is known by the company he keeps." And that's why I want to tell any senator who cares about our democracy: Vote no. Twenty years ago, when I was a conservative movement stalwart, I got to know Brett Kavanaugh both professionally and personally. Brett actually makes a cameo appearance in my memoir of my time in the GOP, "Blinded By The Right." I describe him at a party full of zealous young conservatives gathered to watch President Bill Clinton's 1998 State of the Union address — just weeks after the story of his affair with a White House intern had broken. When the TV camera panned to Hillary Clinton, I saw Brett — at the time a key lieutenant of Ken Starr, the independent counsel investigating various Clinton scandals — mouth the word "bitch." But there's a lot more to know about Kavanaugh than just his Pavlovian response to Hillary's image. Brett and I were part of a close circle of cold, cynical and ambitious hard-right operatives being groomed by GOP elders for much bigger roles in politics, government and media. And it’s those controversial associations that should give members of the Senate and the American public serious pause. Call it Kavanaugh's cabal: There was his colleague on the Starr investigation, Alex Azar, now the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Mark Paoletta is now chief counsel to Vice President Mike Pence; House anti-Clinton gumshoe Barbara Comstock is now a Republican member of Congress. Future Fox News personalities Laura Ingraham and Tucker Carlson were there with Ann Coulter, now a best-selling author, and internet provocateur Matt Drudge. At one time or another, each of them partied at my Georgetown townhouse amid much booze and a thick air of cigar smoke. In a rough division of labor, Kavanaugh played the role of lawyer — one of the sharp young minds recruited by the Federalist Society to infiltrate the federal judiciary with true believers. Through that network, Kavanaugh was mentored by D.C. Appeals Court Judge Laurence Silberman, known among his colleagues for planting leaks in the press for partisan advantage. When, as I came to know, Kavanaugh took on the role of designated leaker to the press of sensitive information from Starr's operation, we all laughed that Larry had taught him well. (Of course, that sort of political opportunism by a prosecutor is at best unethical, if not illegal.) Another compatriot was George Conway (now Kellyanne's husband), who led a secretive group of right-wing lawyers — we called them "the elves" — who worked behind the scenes directing the litigation team of Paula Jones, who had sued Clinton for sexual harassment. I knew then that information was flowing quietly from the Jones team via Conway to Starr's office — and also that Conway's go-to man was none other than Brett Kavanaugh. That critical flow of inside information allowed Starr, in effect, to set a perjury trap for Clinton, laying the foundation for a crazed national political crisis and an unjust impeachment over a consensual affair. But the cabal's godfather was Ted Olson, the then-future solicitor general for George W. Bush and now a sainted figure of the GOP establishment (and of some liberals for his role in legalizing same-sex marriage). Olson had a largely hidden role as a consigliere to the "Arkansas Project" — a multi-million dollar dirt-digging operation on the Clintons, funded by the eccentric right-wing billionaire Richard Mellon Scaife and run through The American Spectator magazine, where I worked at the time. Both Ted and Brett had what one could only be called an unhealthy obsession with the Clintons — especially Hillary. While Ted was pushing through the Arkansas Project conspiracy theories claiming that Clinton White House lawyer and Hillary friend Vincent Foster was murdered (he committed suicide), Brett was costing taxpayers millions by pedaling the same garbage at Starr's office. A detailed analysis of Kavanaugh's own notes from the Starr Investigation reveals he was cherry-picking random bits of information from the Starr investigation — as well as the multiple previous investigations — attempting vainly to legitimize wild right-wing conspiracies. For years he chased down each one of them without regard to the emotional cost to Foster’s family and friends, or even common decency. Kavanaugh was not a dispassionate finder of fact but rather an engineer of a political smear campaign. And after decades of that, he expects people to believe he's changed his stripes. Like millions of Americans this week, I tuned into Kavanaugh's hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee with great interest. In his opening statement and subsequent testimony, Kavanaugh presented himself as a "neutral and impartial arbiter" of the law. Judges, he said, were not players but akin to umpires — objectively calling balls and strikes. Again and again, he stressed his "independence" from partisan political influences. But I don't need to see any documents to tell you who Kavanaugh is — because I've known him for years. And I'll leave it to all the lawyers to parse Kavanaugh's views on everything from privacy rights to gun rights. But I can promise you that any pretense of simply being a fair arbiter of the constitutionality of any policy regardless of politics is simply a pretense. He made up his mind nearly a generation ago — and, if he's confirmed, he'll have nearly two generations to impose it upon the rest of us.5 points

With all due respect, you have been bashing Sam since before he ever took a snap here. Your stance is jaded and shitty and you deep down are trying to find ways to still be right 3 years ago when you said he wouldnt do shit here. Sam has a little Tebow quality to him. Tebow had below average accuracy, was strong and quick, good leader, etc. the guy didn’t always win pretty, but he just won. We won’t blow anyone out this year, but we sure as shit are having the best season we have had around here in a decade. What the fuck is wrong with you?4 points

I've avoided this thread thus far, but I have thoughts on the matter.. I like Sam and am glad he's having some success this year, buuuuuut... This team is good enough to win the Big12 and possibly more If we have a good QB...not Vince or Colt, just a good QB. Maybe we can still do it with Sam, but repeatedly missing wide open receivers or causing them to attempt low percentage circus catches because they're off target isn't sustainable week to week. I really hope I'm wrong and Sam is that QB good enough for us to do some real damage to the middle and latter part of the schedule, but I do know we can't keep relying on special teams or defensive TD's every single game. /rant.4 points

That’s actually a pretty good idea. At least his pathetic opening “speech” which was actually a screaming embarrassing screed unworthy of anyone who ever wants any respect at all from anyone to hold office. If he had been interviewing for a job for them, our criminal drug dealers would have shot him for such a performance as someone wholly unreliable and a completely incompetent fool. That this guy who is a complete joke is a republican nominee for the Supreme Court simply confirms my opinion that the party as we used to know it is now completely dead, is a precursor to a nazi style party, and must be stopped at all costs.4 points
