Texas would take but isn’t pushing for Lindberg and Umanlymannishman. If the numbers get tighter, those offers might compete with one another. They’re going to take a full or super full class in 2021, which is loaded and they’re looking amazing for at this time. Karic is a Yancey special and they liken the take to Cosmi. The Cali WR is a true qualification risk, but they might take him this weekend. Hard push for QJ from here until the end of the recruiting cycle of that is what it takes. There’s a low key plan at LB that isn’t coming to light until it has to, for whatever reason. No fucking clue at TB. Big news going to continue for 2021 today and this weekend.22 points

I disagree. Even without removal, impeachment would have significant consequences. First, while the Dems impeaching Trump wouldn't convince everyone that he is guilty, the failure to impeach sends the message that even Dems didn't think his conduct was bad enough to impeach over. That moves public opinion, and is a big reason why Trump is hitting all-time polling highs since the Dems didn't respond to the damming allegations in the Mueller report. It was the impeachment hearings in Watergate that moved public opinion too, the other way. Second, "impeachment hearings in the matter of Donald J. Trump" would have brought massive ratings and attention to his crimes. Third, Trump loses his pardon power in cases of impeachment. The failure to impeach allows him to continue to obstruct justice by dangling pardons, and maybe even pardon himself. Fourth, Trump's defense in various lawsuits seeking documents is in part, "they can't get this unless it's pursuant to impeachment hearings." Even if that defense fails, it's helping him run out the clock.14 points

The aggys conveniently forget that little incident around 1990 when Harvey Schiller was running the SEC and wanted Texas to jump conferences. The A&M contingent went apeshit that Texas was going to leave and Deloss didn’t negotiate a deal to take A&M along. The ags cried like children to the state legislature and had the deal killed. The SEC instead took Arkansas. Fast forward to Texas talking to the PAC about changing conferences. This time Deloss negotiates a deal with both Texas and aggy. And aggy cries like children because Deloss included them. Fuck aggy.14 points

6'5", 240 lbs This is the 3* OL who is all-conference in the P5 four years later and all the recruiting "gurus" explain his ranking with "How were we supposed to know that a 17-year-old could put on 50 pounds of good mass before he turned 21? I mean, sure, it happens all the fucking time but we're not psychics!"12 points

You are probably right. Nobody has ever seen girls on the UT campus in the 6 percent era that started in 2017 as hot as the girls in that photograph who were pictured together on the UT campus in 2017. https://athlonsports.com/college-football/25-amazing-college-football-cheerleaders-best-2017#28 points

Tonight is trash night and the wife is with her friends, which means leftover nachos. Now what you have here are the last of the tortilla chips, the last of the Doritos, and a few Fritos to fill the pan, then we had 4 bags of shredded cheese that were almost empty, so they all went in, a little left over sausage, and some tomatillo sauce for good measure. Delicious. I will say though the Parmesan added a new twist, but I would do it again.7 points

Let’s look at the timeline here: Midterm Election Pelosi: “We will hold Trump accountable.” January Pelosi: “We have to wait for Mueller” Mueller Report: “Here’s a fuckload of incriminating evidence on Trump breaking the law many many times pertaining to the Russia Investigation.” Pelosi: “We have to follow the facts and see where they lead us. We should have Mueller come in to testify and see what he says.” 1000 Federal Prosecutors: “Trump committed multiple felonies, more than enough evidence proves this. This is really serious shit.” Pelosi: “Let Mueller speak for himself and lay out the facts.” Mueller: “My report is legit AF. Trump can be charged with serious crimes and likely will once he’s out of office.” Pelosi: “We have to wait on the courts. This would be a lot easier if Trump wasn’t obstructing our investigation every step of the way. I don’t know what makes him think he can get away with this.” FUCK YOU NANCY7 points

Schiff just went through a list of everyone Trump's ever known and said "They lied," and Mueller said, "Correct." If this is a witch hunt, they found a shitload of witches.7 points

this should've been the scene today when they came out for their press conference: all four walk out. pelosi introduces everyone, then introduces schiff. schiff : "it's been a long time coming, but today was everything we could've hoped for and more. all the terrible crimes, all the obstruction, all the impeachable offenses, a virtual orgy of evidence. i knew it would be bad for the president, but this was effing devastating. it took everything i had not to burst out laughing and clapping during mr mueller's testimony, and i'm sure my fellow democrats feel the same way, as i'm sure many of you at home who love this country and are tired of the lies...therefore, nancy?" pelosi: "we will be starting impeachment inquiries next week. it will long and exhaustive, but it's what this country deserves. i'd love to stick around and answer questions, but obviously, i have shit to do. have a good afternoon, make sure to hydrate, it's hotter than hell out there." mic drop. walk out. set the narrative, just like trump does every single fucking day. put him and his idiots on the defensive. most people really have no read on what actually happened today, who benefits from it, and who's affected by it. so you know what you do? you fucking tell them what happened. then everyone who wasn't really paying attention would be forced to say, "well damn, i guess things really did go badly today for the president, i guess he's as dirty as they say." the second they didn't do this ^^^^^^ was the second they lost this battle. he's still incredibly unlikable, and he's still gonna have to pull off a magic act to work the electoral math (even though he'll probably lose by 6-8mm votes in the popular). and btw, i would've had this speech written yesterday, and staged this scene regardless of what was said, short of mueller passing out in the first half-hour. ridiculous, predictable, weak, and boring.6 points

Here's my question -- does any of it matter? Did a single person in America change their mind or position today? Those who read any of the report and have paid any attention know that we have a crooked criminal in the White House. Those who are loyal to Trump won't ever change their mind -- no matter what the evidence, shooting a man in the face in the middle of 5th avenue, etc. And then there is the biggest group -- those that aren't paying any attention at all, and haven't done so. They aren't paying attention now, so they aren't moving either. Positions vis-a-vis the administration are fixed. The only thing that can change them is an externality that likely has little to do with the POTUS. If we drop into a deep recession, that might change minds. Likewise, if economic pressures push average worker pay up, that might move some folks. Otherwise, everyone who's paying attention has already decided. And anyone who isn't paying attention isn't going to suddenly start. Today was theater. Everything has been theater, playing to an audience that has already reviewed the play before it was performed, or an audience that isn't even in the theater at all.6 points

I know people tire of the analogy, but like a lobster in a cold pot of water slowly heated to boiling, at some point people need to recognize where we are: this is the birth of fascism in the United States. Devin Nunes is a prime example. Shitweasels like him will endorse anything Trump does and defend him at all costs, in the hopes of maintaining their position within the circle. That's it. They are not patriots, they are not American in any sense of the word. They will get theirs, and I truly believe it will get very very ugly.6 points

Brisket, I don't know. I do think that the time for action is now. Tamely playing politics, at this point, legitimizes Trump's actions and sets a horrible precedent for what presidents can do. Time to fight now. The facts are right there. If no one on the other side changes their mind, I don't care in my calculation. Fight now. Fight hard. Win or lose, it's the best decision. I'm there. I don't think passive strategies have any chance of good outcome. Fascism is at our door. Trump delenda est. GOP delenda est.5 points

I'm streaming the radio broadcast at work and Ford was talking about how Treinen lives in Walla Walla, WA. Sparks: Why is it called Walla Walla? Why repeat the name? Ford: Maybe it's the like the old saying that it's so nice they named it twice. Sparks: They don't call it Baytown Baytown.5 points

ex-girlfriend had a wire haired terrier and he was totally untrained and a complete asshole. a really funny and interesting dog, but he ran the house. I don't look at Nextdoor because it's a pit of stupidity, but I got a notification last night for a post from someone fostering an old boxer puppy with a leg problem, who needed a bigger bed. Kevin won't mind losing his spare bed, look at this poor little girl5 points
