  1. *I have returned from my slumber. And before anyone says shit about the fact that I have obviously moved on from my original medium, just know that if I had to finger bang a touch pad one more time, I was never doing this again. So with that said, enjoy the show, you degenerates.

  3. One of the many things all of this has shown is that Texas and OU are the best kind of rivals. We hate each other with a passion and want to literally destroy each other's programs on the field or court, but we respect each other and recognize each other's value. And we know that each of our programs would suffer immeasurably not just financially but in terms of passionate fan following if we didn't stay together. Meanwhile Texas A&M is a whiny ass bitch.

  4. Perhaps if every Texas SWC and/or Big 12 school not named Rice had focused more on growing and building up their programs instead of constantly shitting on Texas to any recruit, media member, or administrator who would listen the world would be different. Your programs would be better. It wouldn't be completely up to UT to carry the whole state. Recruits would have nice in-state options instead of none in your conference when Texas is down. TV audiences would be consistently higher, ensuring your continued viability. You would have a first rate program. And at the same time Texas wouldn't have to leave to protect its future because the conference would be strong. Unfortunately that never happened. Mission #1 has always been to tear Texas down. So excuse us while we don't give a single solitary shit what happens to your second rate program.

  5. Absolutely. I hate the the shit out of burnt orange, but I respect the shit out of the beast. You can't deny the success of the long-game brand-building and equity the Longhorn name has built. There is no equal in college athletics. Texas makes OU better, and OU makes Texas better. This is the best forum in all of college athletics, save a few aggies that wandered in. Y'all are a lot better than the knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing, single-syllable grunters that populate most of the OU boards. I hope you understand the pain I endured typing that paragraph. So fuck right off. The ASAP conference. Brilliant.

  8. It has and it's the same as everywhere. Most of the time: "Texas is the most arrogant self-important school and fanbase ever. They think they're the most important but they're not. They're overrated and not as big a deal as they think they are." Texas finally leaves a conference to better their own position: "HOLY SHIT OUR ENTIRE STATE ECONOMY IS GOING TO COLLAPSE AND OUR SCHOOLS ARE DOOMED!!! TEXAS CAN'T LEAVE US THEY'RE TOO IMPORTANT!!!"

  9. agroids are self-immolating ... Had an atm fan (she did not even attend atm) just tell me that Texas is already making demands of SEC: 1. Texas wants to keep the LHN and ESPN money 2. Texas wants a double share of TV contract day one 3. SEC has to change the conference name and move the office to Dallas 4. Cotton Bowl will be the permanent site of CCG (I asked her if she meant AT&T Stadium or State Fair Park, and she said, "Cotton Bowl.") 5. Texas wants a division with Oklahoma, Arkansas, atm, Missouri, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt (I told her that Jimbo would probably like that very, very much.) 6. Texas wants atm permanently scheduled on Thanksgiving Day; first one in Austin 7. From now on conference members can only schedule D1 schools (I asked her if she meant FBS schools, and she said, "No, only big time schools.") I also asked her if Texas was making any demands about NIL rules for the conference as a whole, and she said, "I haven't heard anything about academic demands." and the hits just kept on coming ...

  10. Someone somewhere around here said they wished they could remember how all this started. Here's the first time I wrote about the BS spewing from our rivals: https://www.barkingcarnival.com/2011/09/22/realignmentality

  12. I find the timeline fascinating. I have so many questions. Pre-leak (Houston Chronicle article) what was the timeline? How much was it sped up post-leak? Is it true OU approached the SEC first? If most of MSM didn’t have the UT is an evil asshole slant the articles written about all this will be interesting reads. My dad will have been gone 16 years this October. I can’t imagine what our conversations would be like right now. We are joining the SEC, Dad. Wow. Man I miss him.

  14. Crossposting my rant from the A&M thread: I hope someone here has archived the all the juvenile whining from the reactionary aggy officialdom last week including the hilarious 180 after someone told them what fools they made of themselves again. Also, I wish someone would create a statement from UT setting the record straight about the decades old bullshit mantra that Texas “destroyed” the SWC and now the Big 12. I am getting sick and tired of ignorant sportswriters repeating that pack of lies perpetuated by aggy, corn, and the other sniveling dickwads. I think UT officials should hit the pr trail in the relevant media and tell the true side of the story instead of continuing to allow all those goddamned rubes & rabblerousers to smear the Good Guys. And that includes getting Deloss Dodds, if he is still mentally capable, on record of how events actually transpired with the other schools. There is no reason to allow clowns like that bowtie moron and others to dominate the public stage with their slimey sheepshitstained version of events. If we claim to be a big swinging dick, then quit acting like a passive eunuch when it comes to public relations and enlightening the cfb world.

  16. The irony of the LHN being the vehicle that ran ATM off (after lacking the foresight to join it when offered) also being the vehicle that fully funds their return to obscurity and victimhood is absolutely fantastic.

  19. You should be thanking us for every second you spent in the Big 12, because you wouldnt have been there without us. DeLoss Dodds chose you because so many Texas donors wanted you on the schedule. Probably because their dumber kids went there when they couldnt get into Texas.

  24. People that aren't around these fuckers every day just don't understand the SEC hype machine aggy has been for 10 years, you guys can talk about it, laugh about it, think you really get it but you don't. SEC has been their whole life for 10 years, every fucking sports conversation I've heard for 10 years starts off SEC before a&m. The local news, KBTX when the sports segment starts it's "in SEC news". lol These fuckers are absolutely devastated that UT is SEC now and when I say absolutely devastated I mean like their whole immediate family died in a car wreck devastated. The outrage is real and it's fucking glorious.

  29. I guess this thread is as good as any for this, Billy keeps throwing a hissy fit about how we just aren't ready for the meat grinder that we are entering. Their joke schedule last year is a mirage, check the bowl results: Well...about that. The SEC was an impressive 7-2. Of course 2 of those wins were Alabama (lost 52-24). One of them was aggy over UNC. 3 of the SEC bowl wins were by teams a&m didn't even play (Georgia, Kentucky, Ole Miss). The ags did play both SEC programs who lost their bowl however (Florida lost by 35 to OU & Auburn lost by 16 to Northwestern). Those two also happen to represent their two most impressive regular season wins. That leaves 1 SEC team that won their bowl who the ags actually beat during the season: Miss St. They won an all-timer of an Armed Forces Bowl against Tulsa by 2 points. TLDR: The closer you look at it, A&M's big coronation season becomes even more of a mirage. So thank you for pointing that out Billy.

  30. None of that forgives the piece of shit behavior by Blake Brockermeyer throughout the entire process, as well as his childrens glee in talking shit about Texas and actively recruiting Jalen Milroe and others away from Texas. I'll take his kid(s) in the portal if it makes good sense and they can still also get fucked.
