You would think Jimbo would be able to hand over the reigns to someone else on offense, and sit back and watch.. He had no problems doing it with his ex-wife.21 points

They were all in on BT. They got out recruited, and they just found out their slapdick handler oversold their position. This one drew blood, and they're realizing their fears about Texas in the SEC are coming true. The less regarded ones are starting to see the writing on the wall. The full on agtistic ones wont understand whats happening to them until the power gets knocked out in the bunker and Jimbo and Karen swallow cyanide pills.20 points

Back in the day one Halloween, a girl dressed as a slutty nun gave me a really angry handy-j under the table in a corner of the Copper Tank. She was uglier than homemade sin. I never knew her name, but I still love her. If that was you, and you weigh under 200 lbs, please dm me on MySpace.17 points

BTW, you what's fun af? Watching random CFB games with your aggy neighbors, and they're just waiting for you to unload on them with a barrage of shit-talking about how much aggy sucks after such big preseason talk. You know - the way they would do to us if the roles were reversed. And then you just don't say shit about it. They squirm around and stutter like their heads are about to explode. They simply cannot comprehend it. Good times.15 points

BrisketTexas shitting all over this thread with his questions and hot takes. Yes, when being beaten and you didn’t start it you’re allowed to shoot in self defense. Schools are still gun free zones, so you can’t carry there. If the kid left the fight, then returned, he is now the aggressor. And he’s at fault. This isnt remotely the same argument as being of age, or licensed, and carrying a firearm in public where allowed and drawing it to defend yourself when someone starts kicking your ass. Just stop.14 points

I'm cross-posting this here... sorry, not sorry. My buddy's friend from Oklahoma was walking to the game one year, and they couldn't find the stadium. He ran into the nicest group of five young Longhorns and said 'Excuse me, could you please help me find the stadium?". (This had worked for them in the past when they couldn't find Kyle Field). And this group of Longhorn fans said, "Fuck you, OU sucks!", and then kicked his ass, stole his coupons, and pissed on him. Then they spent the coupons on corn dogs and beer, and watched the Longhorns win. It was glorious.12 points

This year will be my 39th Texas - ou game. But, first since 2016. That year, I got to sit next to one of the Big Bosses on here. That game was on October 8. 22 days later, my daughter died. This year, it is time to go back to a game she and I shared a number of times. With hope, strength, love and inspiration. Oh... and if anyone has any ideas how I can get down on the field and spread just a few of her ashes ... let me know. https://adadsjourneywitheatingdisorders.home.blog/2021/10/06/ashes-texas-football-memories/12 points

As has been mentioned in some other threads, we recently moved full time to our lake house in ETX. The configuration of the laundry room meant that the front-loading dryer door opened the wrong way (outlets and drain for washer/dryer were opposite of previous house). Last night I fixed the situation by reversing the hardware on the dryer door. It was a pretty simple procedure. The only complication was that I had Mrs. NNM hold the dryer door while I unscrewed it (the door) from the dryer, to make sure it didn’t fall. When I pulled the last screw out (of the door), the expectation was that the door would remain suspended in place, held up by my trusty assistant. Nope. *Slip* went the door. Right onto my toes. Fortunately, they were enough of a shock absorber that the glass didn’t shatter. Unfortunately, I was wearing flip-flops. The door was probably about 8 pounds of glass and steel. Dropped from a height of 10 inches onto one’s toes, that has a profound impact on one’s well being. A few choice words were loosed from my lips as I expressed my displeasure with the situation and with my toes’ discomfort. Her response? “It was heavy!” Yes, I know that. That is why I enlisted help.12 points

I dunno, we scripted a TD on the first play of the TCU game. Not the scripter's fault Thompson overthrew it.12 points

https://www.theonion.com/urban-meyer-still-adjusting-to-speed-of-nfl-cover-ups-1847802700 Urban Meyer Still Adjusting To Speed Of NFL Cover-Ups JACKSONVILLE, FL—Apologizing to Jaguars fans for his early failures in leading the team, Jacksonville coach Urban Meyer admitted to reporters Tuesday that he is still adjusting to the speed of NFL cover-ups. “At the college level, these scandals take a lot longer to develop, and I’ll admit I just haven’t done the work to adjust my press strategy from Ohio State,” said Meyer, who explained that he was often able to shut down a damaging story or sweep a player’s transgressions under the rug with a single phone call while running a college program. “The NFL media ecosystem is just more complex than college, so I can’t run with the same simple denials I used in the past. I’m dealing with grown adults now, and lots of people have their own ideas that I can’t just override by throwing them off the team or threatening to take away a scholarship. Jaguars fans deserve a better level of cover-up than I’ve been providing, and I’m committed to learning and getting better.” At press time, Meyer had hired a former assistant from the Steelers so he could learn how they managed to sweep everything Ben Roethlisberger has done under the rug.12 points

Don't know if you're really a UT alum or not, but not gonna neg anyway. But just to explain, context matters with that. Other times and places that could be taken simply as a knock on OU, but given Casey as our QB it comes accross as more a knock on Charles and the Thompson family. Casey is our QB and he's a Horn through and through. I bet his dad will also be rooting for UT as much as any of us. The fact is he could have pushed Casey away from Texas during recruiting and didn't. He could have tried to convince Casey to transfer the last few years but Casey is stil here. They're part of the Longhorn family now and in that context it just comes accross more as something that would embaress Casey and the family. He deserves better given everything he's given to the program. It may not have been intended that way, but again, in the current context it can be construed as embaressing to a part of the Longhorn family.11 points

So I believe I've mentioned it before, but one of my close friend's son, is driving in F4. He'll be racing at COTA during the USGP weekend, and he's the first/only Austin-born-and-raised driver ever to get a contract in F4, with his dream of course being to someday race in Formula 1. He recently turned 16, so he was also driving a racecar, before he could legally drive a normal car, on the mean streets of Austin. For anyone looking for someone to root for in the support series, he's a good guy from a good family. His name is Ryan Shehan. https://www.f4uschampionship.com/pages/2021-f4-u-s-drivers (Lando's his favorite driver, for those interested)11 points

This whole situation just reminds me why I didn't become a multi-millionaire. I'm not sure my moral fortress would be strong enough to deal with all these sugar baby wannabees throwing themselves at me either. I chose to become a 50yr old, mildly obese, lower middle class nobody to protect my morals.10 points
