So the same LLC that Cohen formed to pay off Stormy Daniels was used for multiple other transactions including $500,000 from a Russian Company and $400,000 from a Swiss Pharmaceutical company right before Trump had an unplanned dinner with their CEO?

That kind of seems big.

The $200,000 from ATT is kinda interesting.

Let's see.  During the campaign, Trump came out against the ATT-DirecTV merger.

Also Cohen cashes $1,000,000 worth of checks from Essential Consulting LLC into his Person Account. Can't leave that out!

I’m not clear where that went. Did it go to Trump, or was it all potential payback for some Trump related debt? It’s fairly certain AT&T didn’t pay Cohen for any service he provided, so did they expect that money to be funneled elsewhere?

Trump's fucking nuts.

Flatter him.

If he's being too volatile, try to change the topic.

If he's making too crazy of a decision, try to stall.

He makes up his mind based on the last person he talked to.

If you really need to reach him, get a spot on Fox and Friends.

@ATT can PM me for the address to send my $200K.

If Cohen really is in with the mob and the Russian mob as some of these articles have implied, flipping him may be more complicated. He's kind of high profile to try to slip into the witness protection program.

I suspect if they want Cohen to flip, it would be more on the Russians and less on Trump/Javanka.  They probably already have enough on them.

What could Cohen tell them about the Trump organization that investigators don’t already know?

Seems like they would want more on the Russians since that’s probably what they’re not getting out of Manafort.

For what it's worth, Avenatti scooped everyone with his release today.  The Times has independently confirmed the $4.4 million that went into Cohen's LLC since it's creation.

Speaking to timing, either Avenatti is one of the most politically astute attorneys ever or he is coordinating with ??? to pop this on the biggest election day in 18 months.

Only the US would protect farcical levels of bribery as a constitutional right.

Fucking this, man.

Third-world countries struggle to pull themselves up because they're saddled with low-level corruption at every level of every government agency.

In America, we may not have that problem, but bribery how we make national laws.  Corporate America greases up the congress, has their lawyer draft a bill and hand it off for a legislator to sponsor.  Everybody gets a steak dinner and a life of ease, the legislator has a $5-million-a-year lobbying job waiting in the industry that bought him, and the corporations get a government finger on the capitalist scales and/or massive privatization of tax dollars.

And it's all legal.  It's exactly how the system works.

I was thinking that earlier.  At the very least, someone is helping Stormy pay for his services.

So a shell company formed by Trump's fix-it guy for the purpose of paying off Trump's whores, then goes on to recieve a rumored $4+ million over the next year from a variety of sources. Those sources include an investment firm controlled by a Russian oligarch recently sanctioned for suspected meddling in the election,  as well as AT&T and a variety of other corporations with business pending with the US Gov. Drain the Swamp, indeed.

Who directed the Russian oligarch, ATT, Novartis, et al to Cohen's pop-up LLC ?  Were there other Cohen linked pop-up LLC's parallel to this one? Where did all that other money go outside of a couple payoffs to women ?

Were these entities contributing to Essential Consultants LLC for anything special about Cohen other than him being Trump's consigliere and self described fixer?  Cohen, the taxi medallion guy ?

Did Trump know about these entities funneling in millions to his personal attorney ?  Would Trump want or get a piece of that action? If he did, and there was quid pro quo with ATT or Novartis, etc. you're now looking at a public corruption case.

Are you kidding? This guy is generating more publicity than anything else out there, especially since Mueller is silent. Pretty sure he sees the long game of book deals, movies, a place in history...fucking trump was the best thing stormy ever could have done for the both of them. It's a sordid Butch and Sundance or maybe that's over the top.

Or one of Putin's challengers which he either eventually kills or locks up.

Does anyone really believe the story with Elliott Broidy and the playmate?

It just makes no sense for so many reasons...like...mainly...

Who gives a fuck if Elliot Broidy had an affair with a playmate? Let alone a $1.6 mil give a fuck.

Trump fucked the playmate and got her pregnant.  Then paid her off to get an abortion.  Only explanation now.  Got the GOP finance guy to sign on to making it out like he did it.

We are run by people didn't watch the wire.

"Nigga, is you taking notes on a criminal fucking conspiracy? The fuck is wrong with you?"

Avenatti probably watched it. And it sounds like he's got a Lester Freamon on his staff.

Weird that the Trumpcucks haven’t spoke up about this new revelation.  The same fucking liars who crowed about pay for play, are now too big  of a pussies to speak up about this anti swamp draining. Sad!

There's always a lag between when news breaks and when they receive their talking points from Fox News.

So how is Avenatti getting this info?  This isn't something you would get from subpoenas is it?

Here's a theory:

Quote

I want to shed some light on tonight’s post re: Cohen/Avenatti, specifically this line:

“They’ve also confirmed the dollar amounts. So while we still don’t know where or how Avenatti got this information he must have had access to one of Cohen’s ledgers, a bank statement or perhaps an investigative document. The details are simply too specific.”

I work as an Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act Specialist at a financial institution. Every bank/credit union/etc will have someone who’s responsibility it is to examine transactions and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) with FinCEN, a department of the Treasury. This is what I do.

Upon reading Avenatti’s document, it’s obvious that he has his hands on (multiple, I think) SARs that have been filed on Cohen. They are structured almost exactly as we write them. The KYC information at the beginning is a huge tipoff. This is something every bank is required to compile when a business account is opened, and it’s what AML staff would refer back to it when examining transactions to see if the account is “behaving” differently than expected. This KYC information would never be included in a bank statement or a ledger. It would only come from a financial institution, and is what is included in SARs narratives to justify their filing. Furthermore, there’s info in the document from multiple banks. Unless Avenatti has people at multiple different banks leaking him info on Cohen (he doesn’t) it comes from a SARs.

We know from the WSJ that at least one bank has filed a SARs on Cohen:

https://www.wsj.com/articles/trump-lawyers-payment-to-porn-star-was-reported-as-suspicious-by-bank-1520273701

I’m pretty gobsmacked that someone would leak SARs to Michael Avenatti, but we live in crazy times. I’ve been trying to think who all would have access, and it’s basically: FinCEN staff, law enforcement who request them, regulators, the bank staff who filed them originally, and possibly independent auditors who come in to make sure banks are filing BSA paperwork properly. My guess would be it’s someone at FinCEN doing it, but I wouldn’t bet a massive amount of money on it.

I would, however, bet massive amounts of money that Avenatti somehow has his hands on SARs filed on Cohen.

Financial Crimes Enforcement Network...never heard of it.  I also think someone gave him the SARs  of the Cohen account. He was asking that it be made public on his twitter recently so someone might have decided to give him the info. But I wonder how making this public goes down with Mueller's team? Does it hurt or help them?

I believe Avenatti's pinned tweet that there is no PAC or any entity paying him for the Stormy case. This is to showcase himself to the nation. He is upping his profile big time. The dude is like a race horse that loves the attention and race. He wants to show off and end up in the winner's circle. Since he is an intelligent and talented lawyer, I think he's got a pretty good shot.
