Does it really matter?  Collusion is collusion.  ("Not A Crime!!!"  Witch Hunt!!!)

Totally legitimate charities dissolve for absolutely no reason whatsoever, right? Surely that lawsuit about violating tax exempt status and making illegal campaign contributions had nothing to do with this.

Can someone get me comments from one of those right wing nuts who were constantly on tv bitching about the Clinton Foundation?

Don't forget Fox News.  By all appearances, there has been ongoing tight coordination in timing and content between the WH, FoxNews, Russian Federation cyber operation.

If Team Mueller truly knows everything, they know the conduits for that synchronization.

Let's set aside the legal implications for a moment.

It is beyond question that:

1) a foreign state (Russia) actively worked to interfere in our election, almost all of that work being in favor of Donald Trump.

2) that same foreign state is actively working to attack a legal investigation into its activities with respect to the campaign.

3) individuals affiliated with that foreign state (being a mafia state, all of the "oligarchs" are state actors) have donated millions of dollars to PACs acting in support of Trump and the GOP.

4) the GOP is doing all that it can to ignore, deny, deflect, and derail any investigation or consequences of those actions.

How in the BLUE FUCK is that okay? The GOP is acting, in open concert with a foreign government, to control our country.  What the everloving fuck?  Again, set the legal issues aside...how in the fuck do you defend this?

Hurr, durr, owning the libtards!

You can't.  Mueller + House is our only chance.  And I am still on the Brisket ledge that the Senate will do nothing and it's over.

This.  Whether legal or not, a coalition of the GOP and the klepto state of Russia have taken over our government, and they will not give that control back.  This is how the Republic ends.  Betrayed from the inside.  Really, it was the only way this would go.

And 40% of Americans are just fine with it.  They happily collaborate (and that's actually the EXACTLY correct verb) with a foreign government to secure power.  They are collaborators.  Holy shit, that's a real thing, happening right now.

It goes without saying, but let's bookmark it anyway:  that foreign government represents our single greatest enemy over the past 70 years.

Not just ours: Britain's, France's, Germany's, Poland's, etc., etc.

Russia's concerted goal is to disrupt democracy by fomenting division and distrust among the people and in our institutions.  They're doing a pretty damned good job of it.

This is exactly right and the biggest problem actually.  House + Mueller can literally come out with a video of him raping a child and it will not matter because these people will just scream FAKE NEWS.  There's no coming back, they are broken.  This may end in violence.

There is zero chance it doesn't end in violence.  I have been scolded multiple times around here for suggesting this, because "those fatasses aren't motivated to get off their couches for anything but war games and Trump rallies".  Bullshit.  The violence may not become widespread, and it hopefully won't escalate to civil war, but you can be damn sure that there is a significant fraction of that 40% who will gladly start waging guerrilla warfare -- terrorism, if you will -- against what they perceive as liberal targets.  Planned Parenthood, Democratic politicians, businesses that advocate for LGBT rights, you name it.  It's coming.

You can't.

I've just assumed the GOP has decided they cannot control the country and continue winning elections in any other way; that their platform of low taxation, strong defense, cutting spending, etc. had grown stale and unworkable going forward.  They ran out of ideas, spokespersons, nationally acceptable candidates, fresh blood, money, everything and decided to take whatever assistance they could, damn the consequences.

-They have almost completely used up organized religion to further their cause;

-They have used up the NRA to help spread the word;

-Aside from a tax cut last December, big business isn't bending over backwards to help the GOP any longer;

-All the social issue shit doesn't have the same effect it did as recently as 10 years ago;

-What's left to keep sustainability?  Fear.  And the only players willing to step up to the plate and assist the GOP with this is, well, the Russians.

It might, but what's the point?  What does the winner get?  The prize WAS the United States of America, a functioning and prosperous republic.  But once the fight is truly joined, the prize is rubble, a broken remnant of what was before.  After the fight, we say "congratulations.  You won control of....wreckage."

That's why it's over.  We've already lost.

1) Russia wants to see us weakened, destroyed, and/or failing in everything that we do.

2) Russia is engaged in an active psyops warfare, espionage, and financial support of Trump and the Republican party.

=

Russia subjectively believes that the best way to bring the US to ruin is by supporting Trump and Republicans.

Why don't democrats talk about this more often? Here is an apolitical third party that doesn't have any real ideology. Russia/Putin just pure self-interest and opportunism. Putin wants to see the west burn. Does it give you any fucking pause whatsoever, Fox News viewers, that you perfectly align with the operations and propaganda of a country that wants the US to crumble?

Your first point is not accepted by 40% of the country.  Nothing after that matters.

This.  You are ACTIVELY CHOOSING to align your interests perfectly with those of our enemy.  And that gives them ZERO pause.  They know that Russia is our enemy.  They know what its interests are.  The don't just purposefully align with those interests and actions, they work in CONCERT with them, and accept MILLIONS of dollars from our enemy to fund them.  That's the actual dictionary definition of "collaboration."  An entire political party is collaborating with a foreign actor to undermine our institutions and control our country.

The US-Russia war happened when the rest of us weren't paying enough attention. And now, it's over.

We lost.

many a civilization has been built on the ruins of previous civilizations.  i might suggest ours had become so shabby that a complete rebuild has been in order for some years now.  problem was there was no impetus to do it.  people didn't see the rot.  we have the great advantage now of having much of the rot out in the open.  we need a lusty rebuild and some deep cleaning.  cleaning that will rid us of some of the worst of the trouble in such a way that it's a benefit to them.

The Black Plague and its effect laid the groundwork for the incredible economic innovation, and expansion of Europe in the 16th century.  That was a historically positive period.

But, you know.....the plague.  You had to go through the plague first.  Which sucked.  A lot.  Like, lots of people died and shit.

I ain't looking ahead to the rebuilding.   I'm staring the Black Plague in the face.  That reckoning is going to be historically awful.

Whoa.  I thought Flynn and Mueller agreed on no jail, and the judge is telling them both to go fuck themselves?

Mueller filed a second sentencing paper and changed his request from "no jail time" to "whatever the minimum guideline is". Flynn is probably going to server some time...well, it is looking that way.

Because Republicans got what they wanted. Ban on bump stocks (turn those in to the government please), tariffs, protectionism, bigger budget, less revenue,  collapsing stock market,  kowtowing to Saudi Arabia and Russia, picking fights with Canada, UK, France, Mexico and Germany, tearing apart the publics trust in the FBI, DOJ, CIA and NSA, consolidating executive power and most importantly finally telling that libtard worthless POS William McCraven to fuck off.

Who wouldn't sell their soul for that?

This is a good post and you should feel good.

Flynn: "you sold your country out".

Applies to everyone on the RW.

Shame shame shame. The Founders they love so much would tar & feather this whole bunch.

Get Trump in front of a judge and he will be Benedict Arnolded for sure.

He better make a deal and resign.
