To be fair, we (both as a state and a union) did some serious genociding ourselves.

But, back on point, since the GQP no longer purports to be a party of morals according to Donkey, I guess social conservatives can join fiscal ones in no longer having a political home - although certain flavors of each could join the moderate wing of the Democratic Party come to think of it if they believed in being decent humans and broadly pay-as-you-go fiscal policy like raising taxes to pay for shit.

I think this is why, at least anecdotally, most people I know have zero real problems with Biden. There are nits, sure, but on the balance, he's an acceptable President.

SO WHAT ARE YOU SAYING? DEMS IN NY AND TRUMP VOTERS ARE THE SAME! WE VOTED FOR THE SAME THING? WHY AM I YELLING?

That kind of is what I'm saying.

There is a certain set of the population that finds masturbatory joy in supporting a cruel, narcissist sociopath who stands for literally nothing except his own glory and gratification, because they think that is what a REAL LEADER is.  You are part of that set.  Congratulations.

Gotcha; thanks for the explanation. Could have done without the gif though.

Oh, holy shit. I’m late to the news. But obviously Cuomo could read the writing on the wall and the Democrats would’ve impeached him and removed him from office if he didn’t resign. Back in ‘74 the Republicans still had some sense of decency and forced Nixon to resign but that was a long time ago. That would never happen now even for crimes worse than sexual harassment and assault.

Crimes like.....literally trying to overthrow the US government?  Were you thinking of THAT kind of crime?  Because that's definitely the one you should have been thinking of.

You should change your name to Brisketkreskin because that’s exactly what I was thinking of.

It wasn't almost genocide. What the English did meets the textbook definition of our modern understanding:

First, the crime of genocide is characterised by the specific intent to destroy in whole or in part a national, ethnic, racial or religious group by killing its members or by other means: causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; or forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

Yeah it was an attempt to starve out the entire population They wouldn't let them grow others  crops they kept requiring they pay their rent pay their taxes they gave no quarter, they confiscated homes, they kicked people out of homes, knowing that was a death sentence.

Yeah they were trying to fucking kill them off.  I'm only surprised They didn't add prima nocta into the whole mix.

Don't project the Republicans' lack of standards or accountability on the Dem party that pushed out both a Senator and a Rep in the last few years for scandals.

I know you aren't answering me, but I wasn't projecting that on the Dems. I just thought Cuomo was single-minded about stubbornly digging in, and I just thought it might take a little longer for him to cave.

I guess I just wanted to help someone understand something that they were struggling with. I wasn't trying to defend anyone. Maybe just being pedantic, which is boring and I now feel shame for that. Mea Culpa Senor Mustachio.

The only one struggling is you with some semantic nonsense about hypocrisy. We're with you on the first part that the republicans are morally bankrupt at this point. Your argument that they are incapable of hypocrisy is just wrong. Here is hypocrisy, by any definition.

Yes that is hypocritical of her and she shouldn't have said that. What is not hypocritical, again, is what we were discussing earlier. These are not the same things. This will be the last time I'll say that because it's clear you aren't working with a full deck and something about a pig enjoying the mud.

The fucking cognitive dissonance has reached a point of black-hole-singularity, and is swallowing and destroying everything within its massive gravity well.  Donkey and his ilk are completely fucking broken brained, and they are going to destroy us all in pursuit of.....they don't even fucking know.

I think that in most cases,  cognitive dissonance requires cognition. For a large number of the Trump true believers,  they are just being spoon- fed and programed.

My dad sure was.  Now,  he seems so much happier just being apolitical.

It's a testament to bring very careful what you give your attention to. Like maybe we should be burning Motley Crüe albums...

Lol, look on the big brain on brad. I bet you can say "person, woman, man, camera, tv" a bunch of times in a row. I should have known not to respond to such a massive intellectual.

I don't understand what the purpose of constantly, repeatedly drawing that contrast is.

I dunno.....I'm still amazed by it?

I'm a simple man, easily amazed by modern phenomenon.  Strange flying metal birds, the white man's thunderstick, and the "party of morality and family values" turning into an eager, knob-slobbering cult worshipping a sociopathic, immoral narcissist -- those things just blow me away.

Oh fuck that noise. The brits systematically starved the Irish during the blight.  It was almost genocide.  On the tour of the Ring of Kerry in southwestern Ireland you can still see the potato furrows from the blight seasons.

There was enough food if everybody wasn't busy trying to have 12 kids.

It is pretty crazy to think that what Trump did was far worse than Nixon, and yet the GOP base wants him to run.

With Cuomo moving out of the picture, I guess it'll be back to Hunter's laptop or whatever.

And I'm really disappointed that we didn't have a long discussion about why Sandra Lee bailed on Cuomo last year, with a lot of photos and videos posted.  She is the best TV chef ever.

Seriously, would like to hear her side of things, because she bailed on Cuomo in a very public manner.  She moved to fucking California as well.

There is a lot of bad takes, in this thread, in this entire forum, and in this entire website, and I'll tell ya, this one is right up there. Whether you're talking about looks or culinary skills this chick doesn't rank in a top category for either.

She's a alcoholic who, rather than trying to hide it, incorporated it into her cooking show.  I would like to party with her.

Fox News. Keepin’ it racist.

Trump is German. Ever seen German porn? They can get pretty freaky.

Full disclosure, I’m half German on my mom’s side of the family. But I’ve never been in to leather or BSM or gang bangs or peeing on anyone or anything as a source of sexual gratification.
