i thought he was seen as a great position coach and recruiter but a trash DC

He's a terrible position coach too. Ohio St is the Harvard for DB: attract great talent and let the talent compete -- with such a high baseline level, the winners will have to be excellent.

And it's obvious that Coombs is the coach who leaving. Coombs doesn't have a role moving forward.

It would be more efficient to list what moves slower than Leon.

Here's that list:

I noticed a fly that was hanging on my balcony utility closet door earlier this week.  I could have sworn it changed position a few times, but it's been around 3 days now, and it's still attached to the door.  So a dead fly probably moves slower than Sloneal.

I just can't believe how all this is breaking for Texas. If we had just hung onto that lead against ou and beat fucking Kansas, Sark would be cleaning up. Hell, he might anyway.

Think about this:

1. LSU hires just about the most unlikable dude ever who runs off the their rainmaker db coach and revered s&c coach, and has an exodus to the portal.

2. Riley blows up ou, guts the staff, destroys the programs identity and then they have massive decommitments and portals. They end up with arm band boy, a Briles rape apologist for OC and about the biggest retread loser DC you could possibly find. But at least they stole atm's strength guy back so the dudes who didn't portal out can relearn the tried and true okie tradition of eating their own vomit.

3. Oregon isn't usually even on the radar but my lord did Cristobal lift his leg on that program. Just in the nick of time so we can get back in on those ol targets.

4. And aggy... Well, they haven't gone through anything like the other ones but losing their strength guy and DC a few days before signing day ain't good. I think Fisher will be hard pressed to replace them with the same quality guys but you never know. At least it throws some uncertainty into the mix at a critical time.

5. The highest rated qb recruit in Texas since vy portals from Ohio State and isn't looking out of Texas. Then tech, our only competition for him, goes and hires a ton of no names to run their offense.

Who could have imagined all this shit two weeks ago? If Sark can't flex right now, it ain't ever happening.

Ya know we keep talking like all this shit is falling in Sark's lap,  but how do we know he didn't do work? Maybe he shoved a 4 leaf clover horseshoe cocktail up his ass.

Nahlin on Denver as it relates to Elko news. The last sentance seems to reference a possible Ewers commit will help as well.

Spoiler

IT does believe this is advantageous to Texas’ pursuits of Denver Harris and Harold Perkins, but mostly Harris. As an early enrollee, Harris has to make a decision relatively soon. With Perkins, it’s just good for Texas that he’s postponing.

Another consideration, is, will Elko take anyone from the A&M staff? I have no clue, but often that happens when a coordinator is elevated to head coach.

I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’m happy I didn’t pull off my Denver Harris prediction. Texas still needs to have a fantastic in-home later tonight.

Only partially related to Harris and his in-home, we’re watching these next 24 hours very carefully.

I’m 34. Everyone I know who’s within a 5 year radius of me, listens to the Ticket. You can tell a lot about a person that listens to the Fan vs Ticket.

I’m 43, and I don’t know a single damned person that listens to the Fan. My boss and two coworkers, all over 60, listen to it all day long at the office as well.

SIAP but what a blow hard

i still don't really get the angst.  shouldn't the goal be for the whole team to get paid, not just big recruits or the occasional superstar?  only paying 3 guys on a team an inordinate amount seems way sketchier.  same with some big recruit getting a huge nil deal coincidentally right after he enrolls and way before he plays a snap.

He has zero consistency. He needs clicks. Ignore. We’re laughing hysterically. And he got drug by an actual lawyer on Twitter.

yeah, i've been rolling my eyes at rovell for years, so this will be no different.

just in general though, the whole idea for years has been "these kids deserve compensation because so many others are making millions off their talent and hard work."  so rovell's plan is to only have the top top guys off a team to make big money (that they would likely be making in a couple years anyway) while everyone else continues to get taken advantage of?

saying "whole-team" deals are cheating is an argument that makes you sound really fucking stupid.
