Also, supposedly Contreras was hugging every Cub during the handshake line after today's win.

  • This postseason has become more sentimental for me and my wife's family.  My father in law is the biggest Astros fan I know.  He watches every game without fail, even DVRing them if he can't watch liv

Could just be he’s shocked they won a game.

Probably his last game at Wrigley. The Cubs are on the road until the deadline.

They said last night Altuve was already getting a day off today so don't everyone freak out about him not being in the lineup.

Anything else fire away

Most likely. Wasn't aware that was the case when I posted.

I'd only take him if they threw in Happ and Robertson, too.

Wilson Contreras has a lot of power, and is a pretty damn good hitter, not sure about his defense.

Crap, I don't see Altuve!  Rumor he fell of the Golden Gate Bridge!

Bregman is Yiddish for pop out.

After showing signs of life in June he seems like he’s sucked the last 2 weeks or so. I’m pulling this out of my ass too lazy to look up numbers.

He had been pretty good for about 5 weeks until this one.  Like .815 OPS

Tucker needs to go deep tonight....maybe twice

Yeah but what about the week directly before the all star break and this one. I feel like a lot of that line is being carried by what he did 3-5 weeks ago.

Forget Contreras, we need a defensive catcher so Machete can concentrate on his hitting.

No longer a clean Machin

A's have their #1 pick in the booth.

"What's it going to be like to play in front of less people than you did in college?"

Yordan will not be gruntled by the balanced schedule next year.

“And get paid less in a few years than you got in NIL?”

Bregman should have to do pushups for every popup
Well that wasn't a pop up

We won't get far in October unless Bregman and Tucker hit much better than they have lately. Even if whoever is behind 44 is hot, I'd still pitch way around him most of the time.

Thank God we won’t see these mother fuckers in the playoffs.

dead man walking

Fucking lost his concentration and now our anemic ass offense needs a miraculous comeback.

Least we probably won’t see the A’s in the playoffs!!!

Well that half inning sucked

Two nights in a row we start guys who, in the grand scheme of things, really aren't quite good enough to be in our rotation. Not saying they're bums, because at times they've pitched well. But the truth is, if you can't pitch them against teams like this, what good are they?
