Following the release of the Premier League fixtures for the 2018/19 season, we announced that, barring any significant issues with the final stages of stadium completion, our match against Liverpool on 15 September would be the first match in our new stadium. Recent testing and commissioning has now shown issues with the critical safety systems

Huge loss if it is for any extended period of time.

That schedule almost works a bit against City as both Chelsea and Arsenal will have more time under their managers prior to facing them and teams with a chunk of players in the World Cup will have time to recover. Who knows if it will matter.

Well we have already played Arsenal on the road so I don’t think that will make too much of a difference for them.  The Chelsea point is valid, but it seems like it will most likely be a 2 team league race between Liverpool and City anyway.

fuck them, they can just plug in mahrez.

That's a significant downgrade, and not because Mahrez isn't really good. KDB is the best player in the league but more importantly the league isn't what City is playing for this season anyway. I mean obviously it's a goal but winning the league and nothing else would be a disappointment.

So "replacing" him and still winning the league isn't the issue. The lost depth if Mahrez has to be the first line is the issue.

Sucks for KDB, he's class.

While tremendously talented, I'm waiting for Mahrez to start acting like the whiny cunt he is. It's only a matter of time until he gets his feelings hurt and acts out.  Pep don't play with that shit.  He is incredible at keeping his young stars heads in check, but Mahrez will be a test for him.

Saints would have made profit even without fans, study shows
The Premier League's broadcast deal is so great that half the clubs would have made a pre-tax profit even if they played in empty grounds.

This is why the League Championship Playoff is so great.
