How? This isn't the first time this has been said. Threads and the shitposters within them like this one create the exact scenario you want "clarified".

I refuse to believe Quinn is affected by message board chatter.  I think too highly of him.

You've been consistently saying this thread is shit. Consistently shitting on any post that isn't sunshine pumping. Fans of Texas have questioned the coaching, QB and players since before the fucking internet.

You have the option to ignore the thread, ignore posters in the thread you don't agree with because of lack of sunshine pumping, ignore the board completely or you know go to fucking Texags where you'll be right at home.

Jesus fucking Christ.

Agree.  Everyone, including QE, knows this is how the world works, especially if the guy below you is named Manning. I'm sure he'd rather not have to deal with it, but he'd rather not deal with nagging injuries more.  He's going to be good the next three games.

Sunshine pumping isn't what I want and either you haven't been paying attention or are some type of fool to not recognize comments in here as just "questioning". Guess what, you can ignore my posts if you want. I won't let this thread be a echo chamber for shitty fans unfairly criticizing Quinn Ewers. He deserves better. You are free to leave just as I am but I'm not going anywhere. If you don't like it, GFY or whatever else you want.

The ONLY reason we are not celebrating QE's time here is because a guy with the name MANNING is behind him. That's it. Dude is the 3rd winningest quarterback to play here in my lifetime. It's a shame that he will leave here being unwelcome to come back when we have no idea if the dude behind him can fill his shoes. That is a weird situation to be in.

@Thatguy,  making an insider comment about Quinn not being happy was certainly a choice.

Either you're full of shit to garner support/sympathy for him on this thread, or you made a big mistake airing a grievance. Please clarify.

There’s also a lot to process with this comment.

“He will leave here unwelcome to come back…”

Oh look everyone, thank Christ! The White Knight Quinn Ewers had been dreaming about has finally arrived.

Good to know, with the big mean internet there is at least on person out there, on the front lines, helping defenseless Texas QBs. Keeping them safe from mean and negative comments on the internet.

This has never been seen before. I'm amazed and impressed. Thank God for Longhornlove!

Nah... the reason is he's had enough issues that people clamor for the backup. This isn't unique to Texas and it wouldn't change no matter the name of the backup. QE absolutely gets celebrated for what he's done, but he also doesn't get a pass from criticism. He's been good for the program and will be welcomed with open arms and loved by the fans for that success and his leading the program back to where we haven't been in a long while. I hope he tears it up the next 3 games and gets drafted early. He's earned his shot.

This is true. When Ewers got hurt and Manning came in and played well, I don’t think there was anyone on this site saying Manning should keep playing. We all said Quinn gave us the best chance to win. Then Quinn came back and pissed down his leg repeatedly. That’s when people started to bitch and call for Arch.

None of us are the problem and none of us matter.

We're all just talking out of our ass.

In Sark's eyes, a healthy or somewhat hobbled QE is a better option than AM.  It not only makes perfect sense, it's certainly at least a logical enough assertion for a board like this.

Agree. Hes giving his receivers a shot now to make a play or get PI. There for a while they were laughably bad.

That was noticeable against Clemson. He threw balls that would be contested to a spot that the receiver was either gonna make a contested catch or draw a DPI.

I can tell you from behind the scenes that Quinn is not having a good time here. The backup QB can do no wrong at all as far as the fans are concerned. No one appreciates the guy even though he could go down as the best QB in our lifetimes depending on what happens the rest of the way.

It's our own job as adults to fight negativity bias. We create it and either we allow it to control us or we don't. On the whole, Quinn is beloved. People scream for him constantly. They throw money at him. His coach defends him to the hilt every step of the way.

If he chooses to ignore the 20lbs of positive for the 8oz of negative, that's on him.

Toughen up, Gus. We're all counting on you. Don't Kirby Smart your own fucking fanbase.

Quinn must be fucking soft as Charmin if he’s moping around Texas unhappy after being given the keys to the kingdom for the third year in a row.

Quinn’s lucky he has the Manning excuse to deflect criticism about his play. Bitching about his moonball floaters and throws behind the receiver has nothing to do with wanting Arch. We just want our QB to throw some fucking dimes consistently.

I actually feel bad for Quinn if you are in his inner circle and giving him career advice. I hope you aren’t his agent or manager. Although this would make sense why he is unhappy if he is hearing bullshit from people like you on a daily basis. I doubt Quinn reads message board threads like this unless you are chirping these comments into his ear. And if Quinn is getting butthurt from reading fan comments on Twitter, then he is about to get a rude awakening when he goes to the NFL.

Yeah, people like me are the problem because I actually possess critical thinking skills.

I promise I'll drop that, put on some plate mail and join the White Knight Crusades!!

I'm so grateful you've made me aware of my horrible ways. God bless you, my hero.

I don't think Quinn has said anything publicly negative about the fans or his experience. Any speculation / hearsay to the contrary (without receipts) should be mocked and abused as much as the shit-talkers. Get it together.

Yes, I am scrambling for a multi-million dollar QB to play 1 fucking complete game in his final season at Texas. It seems much more likely the only scrambling being done is the lowering of the bar for Ewers.

I am just trying to understand the Klubnick grading vs the Ewers grading, and the "complete game" concept.

After Clemson's first drive of the game, Klubnick finishes the first half 5/12, 1 INT. Drive chart goes: punt, punt, INT, punt, FG, downs. Clemson down 28-10 at halftime. First drive of 2nd half, Texas scores a FG to make it 31-10. Klubnick then has that ridiculous diving sack fumble that Clemson luckily recovered. Clemson punt with 5;34 to go in 3Q, down 21 points.

So, from 8 minutes left in 1Q, until 5 minutes left in 3Q, Clemson scores 3 points and is in a 21 point hole with an INT and sack fumble. But people on here want to say that Klubnick played a complete game?!? If Texas was in that position, Surly would have burned to the ground. This was nearly 3 full quarters of zero offensive production...but that QB gets an A for the game?

I have it on good authority Quinn is quite pleased with my transition from hater to insider White Knight.

But... I do fart in your general direction.

No. But I turned 6 that 1960, and did not become aware of Texas football until the 1963 cotton bowl. Roger the Dodger.

Agree, we’re in a good place.

Unless I can’t count…the guy has 7 TDs and 6 turnovers (4 INTs and 2 fumbles) in the last 5 games since Florida. We are 103rd in TD% in the red zone on the year. I highly implore his strongest backers to listen to guys like Todd McShay and Bruce Feldman who reacted after this weekend’s games. The consensus is pretty resoundingly “he’s…fine, but something is just not quite right” with our passing game given his pedigree and they’re both wishy-washy on Texas’s ultimate chances at a title unless he starts producing near his ceiling for 4 straight quarters in these games. These are national / neutral college football heads who have the same skepticism as a lot of us do.

To me he’s ok to good with a chance of being great.  To me there isn’t a lot of wow out there to his game.

He’s behind Milroe and allar as prospects for a reason and I don’t think it’s because he plays with trash players

behind milroe???? no fucking way. if your saying he's behind milroe at running back position than I believe it. whoever drafts milroe as qb in first 2 or 3 rounds will be fired as they should be. carry on

I don’t think Clemson was a breakout. That was about as easy of a situation as a QB can have. Dominant run game and 0 pressure. I think ASU could be a repeat. The questions of handling pressure will likely be answered in the next round. That said confidence can go a long way. I hope a couple games to get Quinn’s confidence going might lead to a breakout vs tougher competition. Only time will tell

I love big behind the keyboard talkers. Guys like you already ran off one quarterback that hasn't played here in 20 years but still refuse to come back to campus. You think this level of criticism for a QB who is already number 3 in our lifetimes is normal? It's not. Not for a QB who is in back to back CFPs. You only think this is normal because its the same shit you did to Simms. The kid is out there handling it solidly. I am just telling you he can't wait to put Texas behind him and that's a shame. A person doesn't need to be someone's agent to call out shitty fans. And you sir are a shitty fan. I will make sure to tell you that face to face at the next tailgate.

If this is true it makes Quinn look like a bigger pussy than people already think he is. This university has done nothing but roll out the red carpet for Quinn and he’s also Sark’s #1 guy. Blaming the fans for Quinn being miserable at Texas is such a cop out. You act like Quinn is getting the GG treatment from fans when that’s not even close to what is going on.

The bootlickers make it worse for Quinn. Pumping get the guy up as Josh Allen or Mahomes when he slightly above average.  His td/int ratio is similar to klubnik, almeyer and Nico whatever’s.

Quinn is ok but there’s a reason he’s qb 4 at best in this draft.

He’s behind nussmeir here:

hes just bad at qb. I look at like if he wants to make money, he better play other positions at his pro day just in case. not just throwing deep.
