Bryant is a better athlete than QB at this point. He will need a lot of development.

Here's his HUDL for anyone interested: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/19663253/66eb05374114ded35d85082a

He's obviously crazy talented and it would suck to lose him to Tech but I also have no doubt that we'll get ours and be fine. I'd be absolutely fine with Haven, Houston, or whoever we end up with

Money well spent, but coaching is average. Ojo will need a lot of development, as will Bryant, so will Tech continue to stick with high school Joey? He's done nothing to suggest he's nothing more than an average to below average college coach. Give Traylor what they're giving Joey, and that mf'er will show you how it's done.

The Stampede: Latest Texas football recruiting intel (2027)
Horns247 Staff

Latest on 2027 RB target
Speaking of breaking records, Richmond Randle 2027 five-star RB Landen Williams-Callis is getting closer and closer to putting his name atop the rushing records in Texas High School football. Though Jonathan Gray's career touchdown record of 205 will likely never be broken Williams-Callis is currently on pace to finish second all-time in career rushing scores.

The 5-foot-7.5, 190 pounder recently eclipsed the 5,000 career rushing yards mark on Friday and at the pace he's on he should finish top 10 in career rushing yards as well. Williams-Callis' latest performance included 28 carries for 342 yards and six touchdowns on an average of 12.2 yards per carry in a huge 49-42 rivalry win over Iowa Colony. Williams-Callis lost two fumbles on Randle's first two possessions of the game, but the five-star bounced back and was able to lead Randle to a comeback victory after being down 21-0 in the first quarter.

As far as the recruitment goes, at one point in the process, former Texas running backs coach Tashard Choice had the Longhorns at the front of the race for Landen Williams-Callis. Then Detroit came calling and Choice left, and the recruitment opened up a lot more.

Williams-Callis has taken trips to Texas A&M and Oklahoma this fall, and he also has visits coming up to Ohio State, Oregon, SMU, and Texas A&M again. He looked into the Texas-Oklahoma game in Dallas, but since the recruits are only allowed in the stands and can't talk to coaches before or after the game, he's now looking at visiting Austin in November.

However, the trip is yet to be scheduled to Horns247's knowledge.

The highest ranked running back to come out of the Lone Star State in several cycles, Texas will need to land two at the position in 2027 and there wouldn't be a bigger running back class headliner than Williams-Callis. However, there's work to be done as far as getting Texas back to pole position in the recruitment. The Longhorns staff made it out to Randle this past week to visit and chat with Williams-Callis in person, but again, there's work to be done in this recruitment for Texas. (SCRUGGS)

247 says that he's related to Jacquizz and James Rodgers from Oregon State. Those guys were monsters, do very much want this kid.

Tech is definitely rolling out cash for top recruits. The good news is that the powers that be in college football aren’t going to put up with Tech, of all programs, turning into a top elite program. They will figure out how to stunt those mental midgets.

Who are the powers that be in college football in this instance?

Campbell was in line to be the college football czar, when this presidential administration was mulling over appointing one. I'm not sure what anyone can do to stop Tech from spending as much money as campbell is willing to spend at this point.
